Places to stay in Littleborough
The heated tree cabin is set within a small secluded wood up a steep path. Cedar lined, insulated and oak clad it cantilevers out over a remote mill pond. Wake up in a tranquil heaven only shared with shy wildlife, including deer, hare, the odd badger and a variety of birds. In the cabin are a king-size sofa bed, table and chairs, kitchen area with kettle, microwave oven and chiller. Your own smaller tree cabin, a few trees away, houses a flushing toilet and hand basin with spring water.
Whilst in bed gently falling asleep watch the moon rise over the mill pond through the tree branches and then watch the sun rise the following morning! A romantic getaway for the adventurous couple. Tucked away in a small woodland at the edge of a mill pond you will feel totally secluded as the cabin is difficult to spot from the surrounding areas but the reality is that you are close to a no through road, a village store and the delights of Hebden Bridge. Supplied with electricity and hot and cold spring water you are still part of the 21st Century but at the same time remote from it all. (In fact, so remote, that there is barely any mobile signal or wifi). There is a quality king size sofa bed, chairs for relaxing and dining and a kitchen area with basic cooking equipment and electric heating. Most 'camping style' cooking and eating essentials are provided including a microwave oven and a chiller cabinet. There is also a small portable induction hob and frying pan. A full breakfast is not included, but inside the cabin you will find cereals, fruit juice, milk, fruit yoghurt and of course tea, coffee and sugar. A few trees away there is your own, smaller tree house with a flushing toilet and hand basin fed with pure spring water. Hot running water, face flannels and towels are provided. There is an external hot and cold alfresco shower or for the hardy (or foolhardy!) take a dip in the mountain stream. If the weather is inclement we can usually arrange a time for you to use the shower in the main house.
We are surrounded by public footpaths, bridleways for biking and plenty of fresh air. There is a farm shop under a mile away that stocks everything and is open 12 hours a day. The nearest bus stop with a regular half hourly service to Hebden Bridge is a mile away. We are on a no-through, single track, tarmac road.
  • It's hard to find the words to explain how amazing this place is. Tranquil, beautiful and a little bit of heaven tucked into a gorgeous bit of Yorkshire. It was lovely and cosy and very comfortable. Tony was an amazing host, I didn't get chance to meet Barbara but I will be back so hopefully will get the pleasure next time. The outdoor shower was just amazing. The weather was fairly mild but it was an exhilarating experience none the less. I can't wait to visit again.

  • The pictures and descriptions have literally made me feel excited ever since booking this trip and whilst they were incredibly accurate, nothing prepared me for the overwhelming beauty of the space, as we arrived. Tony was incredibly welcoming and supportive and explained everything to us with so much patience, although we had arrived quite late. The view from the bed in the mornings was probably my highlight, and I don't believe I could put into words how very calming, nourishing and relaxing the little cabin was. On the last day, we braved the elements and tried the alfresco shower and it was such a surreal experience. Despite the cold temperature outside, the water was hot enough to not even notice the cold, and the views were simply breathtaking. Both the main cabin and the smaller "bathroom" were decorated with so much love for details and provided us with everything we could have possibly dreamt of. We had no reception whatsoever, which was great to just be in the moment and take everything in. We went to Hebden Bridge twice for food and coffees and had lovely vegan food and stacked up on some snacks and water. The fairy lights outside the door, as well as the smaller lamps inside the cabin always invited us to stay in, read a lot of books or play chess. Overall this was one of the most beautiful holidays I have ever been on and we are more than excited to hopefully come back next year again.

  • Stunning place even in the rain. Beautiful surroundings truly at one with nature. On arrival Tony & Barbara shared information about the local area and walls. Then to the cabin which was very spacious and tranquil. 100% recommend this place. Would like to book again when I can find a date it’s free, that’s just how amazing this place is. Thank you so much!

  • We had a lovely stay in the cabin and really enjoyed our time there! Feels very secluded despite being close enough to the house in case we needed anything; the perfect balance! Tony and Barbara provided some very handy tips for walks around the area, as well as delicious flapjacks and great selection of hot drinks and breakfast options. Really accommodating of dairy free too, which was much appreciated! Good location, with Hebden Bridge only a short drive or bus journey away. Such wonderful accommodation. Will definitely be looking to stay again next year!

  • We had an amazing stay at Barbara and Tony's, really friendly hosts and beautiful location with lots to do nearby. The cabin itself was really unique and Barbara and Tony provided us with useful ideas for walks and were really quick with communication

    Simran2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the tree cabin for a little break away. It was absolutely beautiful, great location & the hosts were lovely adding thoughtful touches to the stay including Tony’s homemade delicious flapjacks 😃

    Lauren2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • You have to experience the cabin to understand it's charms. It was everything the details told us but Tony and Barbara's extra bits were great. Homemade flapjack on our arrival was delicious along with all the tea, coffee etc which was so helpful but on arriving the peace was something else. Absolutely no phone signal or WiFi in the unit helped us relax but you cannot stay in the cabin and not relax. We never touched the car until we left walking everywhere and wallowing in the views but the final joy was on the morning we left jumping into the outdoor shower was an experience that will stay with me for a very long time. Thank you for sharing you little bit of paradise.

    Rosemary2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such lovely hosts, gave us a proper tour of the area when driving back from the station and invited us in to show us some local routes. A very relaxing stay and well worth the money.

  • The house was so beautiful! The photographs do not do it justice! Stayed for a hen do and the house made the trip. It was so special - beautifully decorated, spotless and facilities were excellent. The surroundings were lovely particularly when enjoying from the hot tub! Each bedroom was done wonderfully and each guest felt really looked after and in a 5* stay. The view from the King bedroom was particularly lovely to wake up to! The house offers such a large communal area which was lovely for the occasion. To top it all off, David was so helpful from the day of booking and particular in my last minute flurry or questions. If you want a special trip with beautiful facilities - stay here!

  • This is an amazing place for a large group to stay together. It's easy to access from the motorway and is in a stunning location. The house was spotless, stylishly furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was very helpful and attentive before and during the weekend and communication was good and he replied quickly. It worked really well for us to go away with friends and family to celebrate our birthdays. We enjoyed a meal provided by the recommended chef who came to the house and cooked us an excellent meal. We were able to walk from the house along the canal and we all enjoyed the views, especially from the hot tub! A great place for a house party weekend.

  • We had a fabulous stay, the cottage was lovely and the view from the lounge window was fantastic. Very peaceful location. Aisling was a super helpful host. We would definitely like to come back for another visit.

  • An awesome spot with a great view from the floor to ceiling window. A very warm and cosy cottage to snuggle up and enjoy some dramatic weather. Our lurcher loved the location and we had a great walk around the Bridestones as well as exploring the valley. Directions and communication were great throughout.

    Rachel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A Lovely place up on the tops, Aisling is a great communicator and it is always a pleasure to stay threw.

  • We had an absolutely peaceful stay here. The view from the main window is absolutely out of this world- perfect on a summer or winter day. The lodge is very peaceful and very private even though it is on an operating farm. Thank you for your lovely hospitality

  • A cosy hideaway in some of the most stunning hills and moors this country can offer - will definitely be staying again, fingers crossed for a thunderstorm next time.

    Paul2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A remarkable unique stay! Surrounded by folklore this cosy getaway is perfect for getting away from it all, snuggling up and watching the magic mists. Had a wonderful time with my family and kept returning to our favourite cafes in hebden bridge. Picture perfect morning and night walks right on the doorstep. Super peaceful. Will definately consider staying again and friends who visited all enquired about staying in the future!

    Sarah2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Getting to the location can be tricky if you are not used to narrow, twisty roads but when you get to Aisling's directions it's pretty straightforward if a little bumpy! Despite being attached to their house, you feel like place is your own. The conversion is cosy and warm and the beds really comfy. Shower is good too. Views are spectacular with the Bridestones literally on your doorstep. Our two dogs loved the open space and being able to run free safely. Lots of walks straight from the house and Hebden Bridge and Todmorden closee by. We had Sunday lunch at the Shepherds Rest which was spot on with lots of great real ales. Communication was quick and accurate too. Thanks for being great hosts!

The bed is really comfortable and we loved sitting in front of the fireplace. Jane has literally thought of everything. The location is fab as it's just a short walk to about a few local pubs, shops or whatever else you need. Also we did a huge walk which was recommended from the basket by the fire. The Delph circular, Beautiful scenery. We will 100%return in the summer. The host Jane is also very quick to respond if you need anything.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Jim's, the house is beautiful and all the rooms were spacious, sparkling clean and very comfortable. Jim is a fantastic host and went out of his way to ensure we were looked after. The breakfast is a thoughtful touch with a wide selection of cereals, toast, pastries, tea and coffee, etc. Overall we can't recommend this stay enough and would be glad to stay again next time we visit Todmorden.

The house itself is situated near the station and within easy walking distance of Hollingworth lake with it’s pubs and restaurants and lovely country side if you like walking. I would definitely recommend a stay.

  • An interesting old house, with a friendly caring host. In a quiet location, within 2 minutes walk of the train station, an Indian restaurant & a Chinese take away. An excellent location for exploring Hollingworth lake & it's rural surroundings, while just a 10 minute train ride gets you to Manchester & all it has to offer!

  • Lois is a kind and warmhearted host. The room is on the 2nd floor and bigger than it shows on the photos. The blinds keep the light out and the shower is great! I made an omelette, as I was able to make simple cooking in Lois kitchen. All clean and tidy. It's easy to park outside, on the road leading up to the house. I recommend Lois's house and room.

My home is nestled in the heart of the Calder Valley in Cornholme. Close to Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Burnley and perfect for cyclists, walkers, art lovers, vegetarians & vegans. Log burner for cosy nights in coming end of Nov. There are many gorgeous walks straight from my door step!
The house dates back to around 1864 so it's full of character and quirkiness. It's a back to back but on 4 levels including a cellar and wooden floorboards throughout. It's south facing so we get a lot of light in the house. Beautiful new bathroom suite with double-ended roll top bath and powerful hot shower. There are lovely views of the dramatic Calder Valley hills. It's quite rugged around these parts and you may meet deer or the three wild horses with dread-locked manes that live on the hill on the opposite side of the valley. You may also see a steam train travelling along the track outside the window if you're lucky!
The neighbourhood is exceptional. The people are extremely friendly and always willing to lend a hand. Todmorden is internationally known for Incredible Edible, a community benefit group that aim to provide good local food for all. There has been a recent film featuring the project called Demain. Check it out! There's a fantastic country pub 10 mins down the road from the house called the Staff of Life. The food is excellent. If you fancy going into Todmorden there's a great Thai restaurant called Hanuman. Loads of great cafe's too in Tod, catering for veggies and vegans alike. Local walks: there is a wonderful hour's walk from Cornholme to Todmorden that takes you up the hills, through Beech woods, across a stream and down into Lydgate. From there you can walk though Centre Vale park into Todmorden. There are plenty more local walks from my house, one of which takes you up to a dilapidated Baptist chapel dating back to the 1700's. I can give you directions. There's also Havok mountain bike park set in a forest in Cornholme with red graded downhill runs, a freeride section and dirt jumps.
  • Me and my husband had a nice stay at Donna’s house. We stayed for two nights. The accommodation was clean with a very comfy bed. Although the house was very small it wasn’t a problem. The house was nice and warm and Donna left us some eggs for breakfast on our request, as she was away most of the weekend. Donna was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

My place is situated in a rural location with great views and plenty of outdoor activities. The area is good for walking, cycling, running and generally enjoying the lovely scenery. It also has easy links to Manchester, Leeds and the surrounding Pennine area. The market towns of Todmorden, Littleborough and Hebden Bridge are all within 15 minute drive. The property has been recently renovated with original features maintained. It is ideal for couples, solo adverturers and furry friends (pets)
The property is a self contained cottage which includes a ground floor kitchen / living area and one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. December 2018 - newly refurbished bathroom with a walk in shower. New front room flooring also.
It is a semi rural location with a friendly village atmosphere. There are numerous larger towns within a short distance that have all the expected shops, restaurants and nightlife.

Nobel Nook is named as such due to the history of the property. Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson (Nobel Peace Prize winner) once resided here. The property has been sensitively restored over the years with its 1853 heritage in mind. stone floors, high ceilings and decorative features remain. The basement apartment style has followed suit and has undergone a full renovation in Spring/summer 2019.
There is an indoor bike store for up to 4 bikes should you be exploring the town on two wheels!
Todmorden is described as a market & mill town at the very end of the Calder Valley, boasting a unique selection of shops, stalls, bakeries, cafe's & bars. Within a 30 minute walk you can find yourself on the Pennine Way looking over vast views of the beautiful town & surrounding greenery & farmland.

This character cottage is a 10-15 walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge with street parking outside. The property has been recently renovated to a very high standard and includes all amenities of a functioning home. The accommodation has beautiful period features with some modern twists. Facilities include two bedrooms both with double beds, a bathroom with large shower, open spacious kitchen/living room, beautiful garden and plenty of storage inside and out. !!!DOG FRIENDLY!!!
The walk into Hebden Bridge can be done along the scenic canal, with a café and award winning pub just around the corner. Hebden Bridge is a thriving town recently voted the UK's most unspoilt and best independent shopping town.
Originally Hebden Bridge was seen as a "Hippie Hideout" but as the town has changed so has it's residents and visitors. It is now becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and bohemian as artists, performers and the LGBTQ community started following in the footsteps of the first hippies. The town is becoming increasingly popular with tourists/walkers/bikers etc. Furthermore, Hebden Bridge has recently been voted the UK's most unspoilt and best independent shopping town.
  • Comfortable space a short walk from Hebden Bridge. Ideal location for lots of running/walking routes and everything else this area has to offer. Nice quiet location.

The cottage is in a great location with easy access to Hebden Bridge. The food was good in the Stubbing Wharf pub which is ideally only a couple of minutes walk away. Would recommend staying here and would happily return.

The house is bright, modern, welcoming, in a quiet cul-de-sac, with lovely views of a wooded hill. Large, light double bedroom, freshly decorated and with a new bed. Share of modern bathroom with second loo available downstairs. Breakfast provided. 20 mins walk into Todmorden town centre with bus stop and shop nearby. 5 mins walk to lovely park.
Todmorden is a vibrant and friendly market town with great transport links and fantastic countryside for walkers. It’s also the home of the first Incredible Edible which is still a prominent feature of the town. Although this house is next to the railway line, it’s a quiet line and most people say they don’t notice the trains at all. There is plenty of space for car parking. The shared modern bathroom has a walk-in shower but no bath. I provide breakfast (cereals, toast, fruit, tea, coffee) for guests to help themselves. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen in the evening on request but I am vegetarian so please do not bring meat or fish into the house. There is drawer space available, a hair-dryer, wi-fi, tea and coffee in the room and a clock alarm/radio. I enjoy meeting new people so am happy to chat but equally happy to give you peace and privacy if that’s what you want. Lovely south facing patio, with garden furniture available for sunny days. Very peaceful, with the sound of sheep in the distance and an owl in the evenings.
Todmorden is surrounded by beautiful country-side and has a fantastic market and great history. There's a Tourist Information in town with lots of walking maps and a town tour explaining its history. There's also an Incredible Edible walking tour - get leaflets from Tourist Information or the station. It's a short train journey to Manchester. Also close to Hebden Bridge, which is full of interesting independent shops.

  • This annex is amazing everything was first class it was spotlessly clean and so well furnished. The attention to detail was fantastic we could not have wished for anything better. Would definitely stay again - thank you to Heidy 10/10 😊

    Jackie2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Heidy's cottage offers such a peaceful and cosy stay within the heart of Saddleworth. It is such a treat staying at Heidy's , a great location close to the countryside with all the local Saddleworth villages on your doorstep.

    Deborah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed another very peaceful and comfortable stay at Heidy's. We absolutely love the location up on the moors yet very close to a fantastic couple of great restaurants within walking distance. The space is immaculate and very comfortable. Thank you Heidy for another great stay.

    Deborah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely stay, the accommodation was really nice and cosy. The log fire was lovely when we used it, amenities were really good. It was lovely and clean, just need a bit of TLC in the bathroom as the paint is peeling off the ceiling and a number of cobwebs around the velux windows, but that was nothing to stop us enjoying our stay. Heidy is lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

    Gillian2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place all round. Felt like I was in the middle of no where however was only 11miles from Manchester.

    Tyler2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Heidy was welcoming and warm and very accommodating. The annex was toasty warm and the fire was on for us when we arrived. I was only sorry we couldn’t stay any longer.

  • Aamir has a beautiful home and is a perfect host, he made me very welcome. My room was wonderful; quiet and warm room with a very cosy bed and beautiful views. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower and a huge bath with unlimtless hot water. I will happily return, and I highly recommend it to all.

  • An absolutely ideal location for business or leisure, being a few minutes from motorway access and yet on a peaceful street on the edge of countryside, where deer can be seen from the kitchen window... The canal is literally a stone's throw away, the station is a short walk away, as are shops, pubs, etc. Aamir exudes hospitality, and the room and whole house are comfy and welcoming.

  • This place is where you could have a quiet stay away from the traffic and bustling streets. Hindle pasture barn has everything you need to make your break that more comfortable. You will love the morning fresh air and the beautiful sceneries around you. Everything about it was just amazing 😉

    Shabana2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Paul's place. It was beautiful, close to town but in a rural setting, walking and outdoor trails close by. It was the perfect size for us, 5 adults. I would definitely recommend his house to anyone looking for a place like this.

    Theresa2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hindle Pastures barn were amazing. They lived up to our expectations and went several steps further. The photographs on the site didn’t do the home enough justice. What a magnificent home and what a privilege to have stayed in it.

    Yousef2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning location. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly which made the entire experience that much better. The place is very clean and tidy, with plenty of amenities to make the stay comfortable and feel like home.

    Aisha2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hindle Pastures. The cottage was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. In the countryside, yet not too far away from the local town and amenities. As a family of 6 we had plenty of room and had everything we needed. TV and Internet worked great ad in fact the internet was way faster than our home back in the USA. Linens, ironing board and every other thing you tend to worry about was taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation! The hosts Paul and Gill greeted us and stated they were there if we needed them at any time throughout the stay. There was a welcome pack waiting for us and also lots of guides about the local area. We had everything we needed and it was truly a home away from home for the 7 nights we were there. If we could leave 6 stars we would!

    Carlos2019-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hindle Pastures is the Place for your family. It has a very British vibe, like you are living the best of England. 😁 Highly recommended! If you have a car, stay here and it's fun to drive to Manchester or Liverpool. Even enjoy local place like Hebden Bridge.

    Dwityo2019-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place- fabulous views, characterful old farmhouse which is warm and cosy. Beautifully presented and clean. Everything you could ever need and lovely touches like towels bathrobes and a hamper were much appreciated. We didn’t get a chance to use the sauna or the jacuzzi but will definitely be back one day! Paul and Gill are very friendly, perfect hosts. Thanks for a great stay!

The property is a semi-detached barn conversion which boasts impressive views of the Pennines. Despite its rural surroundings of rugged moorland, the cottage is also just a short car ride from the neighbouring villages, which holds host to a number of great country pubs and eateries. There is also handy motorway links within a few minutes drive. The location is ideal for ramblers and walkers with bridleways and footpaths on all sides of the property.
The farmhouse has numerous gardens and places to sit, whilst taking in the impressive views of Saddleworth moor.
Our property is on the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire it has quaint villages on either side. On the Yorkshire side you have Denshaw which is in the borough of saddleworth it has a number of great pubs and restaurants. On the Lancashire side you have the village of Newhey which also has some fantastic eateries and pubs. If your feeling adventurous you can jump on the metro link to Manchester and explore the city, the tram takes around 40 mins to get to the city centre.

  • We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. You were amazing hosts. We loved the food/wine that was left for us, and the fact that you checked we had everything we needed on the Saturday was thoughtful. You also opened the doors to make it easy to get out in my wedding dress which was so helpful. The lift down to the pub on the Sunday was also very much appreciated. All in all, we had a very relaxing stay and we would very much recommend to anyone else thinking about staying in the area. All our bridesmaids who stayed on the Friday loved it too, and even our photographers commented on how lovely it was. Thanks a million.

    Amy2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay for peace and quiet. Excellent views and lovely cottage. Nice touch leaving bread, butter and milk etc. This was my second stay here and I loved it. I would definitely recommend this place for a great holiday. 👍👍❤️

  • Loads of space and everything well made and comfortable. Lovely rural location but not far from main roads. Jack recommended The Junction Inn, 2 minutes drive away, we took Friday dinner and Sunday lunch there, fabulous. A short drive down the valleys are plenty of picturesque villages with quality dining and walks along the canals. A great stay and very good value.

Enjoy time away in my beautiful large peaceful attic bedroom. The room is light and south facing with fantastic views over Hebden Bridge. Just a few minutes walk into town or woods. Tea and coffee making in your room. En suite wc and sink. Longer stays welcome. If you are using instant book please tell me a bit about yourself at the same time and the reason for your visit.
I live in a beautiful Victorian terraced house on a quiet street with easy access to town and country. My house is spacious, welcoming and well equipped and you will feel at home when you are here. Also the room is beautiful and private and the views are spectacular.
Hebden Bridge needs no introduction! I live here not only because of its physical beauty but also because of its culture, people and access to nature. The woods are literally five minutes walk from my house but it's also only 10 minutes to walk into town and experience life there. Plenty to do during the day and evening: cafes, theatre, wine bars, cinema, fair trade shopping, pop up arts events; festivals ; Trades Club. Or just sit by the river and enjoy the water and the people who pass by. Great food for vegetarians, vegans and carnivores both here and in our neighbouring town of Todmorden.

  • This is a really spacious room with a jaw-dropping view which has to be the best thing to wake up to. It was also warm and cosy which is important considering much of the week it was around freezing outside. Liz was thoughtful and considerate of my needs. This is lovely if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet, and central to the town.

  • As our stay was brief, we wanted somewhere that would let us get straight out of the door and onto the moor. The result was a magical New Year's Day walk from this warm and cosy farmhouse annexe to Widdop. If you arrive with food supplies, meaning you don't have to drive to a shop, it makes a brilliant base for the south Pennines. And Frances is a superb host, who was very relaxed about our extremely late arrival. Our start to 2020 is a lovely memory and I look forward to going back.

We were only there for two nights trvaelling home to wales but it served our needs well and we would recommend it to any couple wishing to visit this area.

My parents were very happy and were impressed with the use of space. Views around the area (we've seen plenty of photos!) are beautiful and right on your doorstep. Frances is a lovely host who answered every question before I booked, and after too! Lovely stay and parent recommended!

Quain Cottage is near the Pennine Way and overlooks the historic town of Todmorden in the Upper Calder Valley. 'Tod' is known for its bohemian culture, vintage antiques, walking & cycling on the moors or 'tops'. Quain has a sister cafe called Kava & both are a home from home or 'third place'. In between nestle the Rochdale Canal & the renowned Golden Lion pub venue. Tod library is opposite Kava & the rail station is just around the corner. Manchester Victoria is just 25 mins away by train
Quain cottage has original features and a sunny cottage garden with patio at the front in a central but secluded and elevated enclave called Cock Pit. Easy walking distance to all that Todmorden has to offer.
Cock Pit is the oldest part of Todmorden consisting of a group of weaver's cottages clustered around cottage gardens at the foot of a hill and perched just above the river and canal basin in the centre of town with views across the upper Calder Valley.
  • Nick’s cottage is a gem, and Todmorden is a hidden treasure. The room was cosy and old fashioned with an extremely comfy bed. The cottage was well located, in the centre of town, with delightful neighbours (check out Baked next door for delicious bread and snacks). Nick was thoughtful host, friendly, helpful and accommodating. He loves the area and has excellent tips for local things to see and do. Bring boots if you want to walk on the moors. It was beautiful (and muddy!) on my misty, wet weekend.

Enjoy a relaxing break this lovely single room This room is light and airy and equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. There are tea making facilities in this room. The views from the outside of the property are stunning.
The space I live in a beautiful old victorian terraced house in the historic village of heptonstal. The house is spacious and welcoming and well equipped and my aim will be to make you feel at home while you are here. The room is private with lockable doors and each room has a 32"TV,coffee/tea making facilities, wifi, hair dryer, iron, first aid kit and other things to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Access to rooms is up two flights of stairs so people with mobility issues may find this problomatic
The area is famous for its walks and we are a 10/15 minute walk from the famous hardcastle craggs and hebden bridge. There is also a regular bus service too. We have a village post office, cafe, Two pubs and a bowling club just minutes away. The food served in the pubs and cafe are said to be appetising and delicious.
  • I could not have been more cosy or comfortable in Shirley's home. She is a natural host, warm and welcoming. And very kind. She even took me swimming with her when my other plans fell through. And let me use her kitchen. The room had everything I needed and felt like a haven to return to. The house is a few minutes walk from a bus stop - there are buses every half hour to Hebden Bridge which go to the station so you don't need a car. And you are in the middle of glorious walking country right from the doorstep. Thank you Shirley and I look forward to coming back.

A beautifully restored and furnished luxury cottage for two in the funky town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. Superking sized bed, roll top bath and lots of exposed York stone make this a cosy, romantic retreat.
The cottage is set over three floors and features a cosy sitting room with cast iron gas stove, a small but well equipped kitchen, utility with additional shower and a first floor offering a luxury bathroom and bedroom with solid oak flooring and original features.
Hebden Bridge is pretty unique and is a great place to visit. It offers the best of both worlds; the surrounding countryside offers miles of beautiful walks and is a great base for mountain biking and road cycling. The town is always buzzing, offering plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs, independent shops and the famous Trades Club for live music.
  • Gorgeous little space, good communication and awesome amenities. The location was fantastic and we enjoyed exploring the local area before relaxing in front of the fire with our very tired dog! Would recommend this place!

    Nicola2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully designed space, perfect for a stay for 2 to explore the local area and lovely town of Hebden. Fantastic view from the bath and kitchen! Very clean and stylish, great shower.

  • Fabulous cosy cottage in an excellent location for the centre of Hebden Bridge. Lovely comfortable bed and gorgeous bath. Easy and helpful communication with Jonathan and lots of thoughtful extras like bathrobes. Loved it!

    Julia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely cottage, interesting and stylish. The downstairs utility room is really useful in bad weather for drying clothes. Good views from the windows. A convenient location for popping in and out of the centre but also easy to walk into the hills, there's a good path just on the other side of the road that goes up through a wood.

    Jennie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Beautiful space and perfect for our weekend break with the dog. Will be back.

    Alistair2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, clean and well-appointed cottage retreat, right in the heart of Hebden Bridge. It's a really comfortable base from which to explore the wilds of West Yorkshire, including Hardcastle Crags (only 20 mins walk away). Jonathan was a really attentive host, and the helpful welcome pack was a lovely touch. There are a number of steep stoney stairs in the property, so it's not an ideal choice if you have mobility problems, but we loved it and we can't wait to visit again!

    Leanne2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Jonathans place. Its the perfect location. I wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay in Hebden. It has all we need. Thanks again.

Great value for money and in a very central location for all of Hebden’s delights and also for nature. HIGHLY recommend :) We will visit again for sure. 11/10 xx

Our beautiful semi-detached Victorian town house is situated in a very friendly and pretty area on the sunny side of Todmorden. It is a brisk 10 minute walk from Tod centre and backs onto hills and woods. The room is large, comfortable, clean and (like the rest of the house) charmingly boho chic and original. Breakfast is not provided but guests are welcome to use the facilities in our large kitchen. Great base for walking, cycling or working locally. Hosted by Dan (& occasionally Hannah).
The guest bedroom is a good sized room on the first floor, next door to the bathroom. There is a comfortable single bed, a desk and a nice two-seater sofa for relaxing or reading. This room is a perfect space for working or enjoying a bit of quiet time. Or as somewhere nice to come back to after a day in the hills or enjoying what the valley has to offer.
Todmorden (Tod) has a lively local community with a lot interesting things going on. A very popular market in the middle of town (indoor and outdoor). Good pubs ( from Thursday over weekend is best). Wonderful for walking and cycling. House backs onto hillside with easy access to the moors including The Pennine Way and The Calderdale Way. And there is a soothing background of clucking, tweeting and tooting to soothe your stay. The neighbourhood round the house is quiet, friendly and pleasantly picturesque. And we are on the sunny side of the valley which counts for a lot round here!
  • Nice room with single bed and desk in nice area. Parking not the easiest but manageable. Hosts are welcoming and helpful, shared bathroom and kitchen.

    George2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed in this place before, and it does not disappoint. Location is handy for the town centre (Todmorden), and the house is very stylish; comfortable beds. Tea/coffee making facilities available in the room, and the provision of a bar of chocolate is a nice touch.

  • Dan is a welcoming and friendly host, and a good source of local knowledge. He responded quickly to questions before I arrived. The room was just what I was looking for - I particularly appreciated the desk - and the bathroom is also lovely. Planning to return!

  • A perfect location in a town teeming with history and character/s. Very comfortable accommodation at great value for money. The facilities shared with Dan and Han (kitchen, bathroom) worked fine. Excellent hosts who take a genuine interest in people staying with them.

  • From day 1 of our month stay, Simone and Kye have been great. The place is really cute, almost all new, seriously super close to the train station, super close to downtown, and any restaurant pubs or shops you may want. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a better place. The kitchen is stocked, we’ve been provided plenty of towels, sheets, and cleaning utensils/sprays, really, it’s been a great stay. We definitely recommend to all of our fellow air B and B’ers!

The place is a (very) little hut, insulated but not heated(!) in the woods next to my own home which I am in the process of building by hand. It's basic, clean (as clean as a hut in the woods ever is) and simple, we are friendly, the building project is unique and it's a generally a really interesting place. Please read the description carefully. This is not Glamping. The cabin is very basic, with two small-ish beds and not a lot of extra room. There is room for hanging out in the garden.
The cabin itself is small and basic. There are two rather narrow single beds* and nothing else, but they are comfy, memory foam mattresses with sheets, pillows and duvets provided. There is no electricity in the hut, but I provide a battery lamp. There is electricity in the garden seating area. The toilet is a composting toilet in the entryway to my house. The water tap in the garden, situated over a sink is the source of drinking and washing water. The site is a build site inhabited by me, my partner and any other volunteers who are on site at the time. This place is pretty unique and is not a glamourous B&B but a safe, fun, interesting place to check out, especially if you have an interest in natural self-build. There is an outdoor living space for use by guests where you can set up your own cooking stuff, i.e. a camp stove. At busy times on site, which is not that often these days, there may be lots of people around and things happening, people to chat with, etc. Otherwise, you will have the quiet garden area to yourself. You can get a flavour of what life is like here from my blog about the build by googling Donated House Todmorden. * The beds are quite narrow, about 75cm wide, and normal single bed length with not much overflow space. I would say if you are a large person, either in girth or height, you may find them too small.
The neighbourhood is a residential one, though my plot is very private, surrounded by mature trees and a ten or fifteen minute walk away from the centre of town. Please note that I do my best to cultivate an excellent relationship with my neighbours, many of whom are also my friends, and I will not be pleased if they are given reason to complain about my guests.
  • Memorable evening at Grace's! We were welcomed in a good mood, shared a meal around the fire and tasted an excellent homemade dessert! Thanks a lot to Grace and her friends! Surely the best accommodation of our roadtrip!

    Elvhan2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We especially loved the rope swing and being able to squirrel-watch from the window - great stuff!

    Sophie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you read the (very honest) listing you will know exactly what to expect - a small (but clean and very well insulated) hut at the edge of a little bit of woodland next to Grace’s fascinating and hugely inspiring mammoth self-build project. Grace herself is incredibly warm, friendly, and one of the most positive people you could hope to meet. She’s also a great cook! If you need a simple, inexpensive, and fascinating place to stay in Todmorden don’t bother looking anywhere else...

    Rick2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place in Todmorden, does exactly what it says on the tin and the hosts are lovely. Well worth a visit.

    Lizzy2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Totally different experience of anywhere I’ve stayed before; but charming. Bijoux is about right 👍

    Philip2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet secluded - does exactly what it “says on the tin/ad”

    Danny2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Bijoux Hut is rustic but clean, and looks exactly how it does in the photographs on Airbnb. What totally blew me away though, was the beautiful tranquility of the space where Grace has chosen to build her eco self-build house. We only stayed for 1 night but it was heaven to sit back and chill in the outdoor communal seating area. I lit some tea light candles and enjoyed a a few glasses of red wine whilst playing cards with my son. It was one of those get away from it all breaks, and I left feeling more refreshed than I did when we arrived. Grace was hospitable and but at the same time allowed us space and privacy. I could not recommend this homestay enough.
