1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

This renovated, 130-year-old cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by the George Washington National Forest and five minutes from great hiking at Wolf Gap Recreation Area or Half Moon Trailhead. If hiking isn't your thing, don't worry, the views from the porch are incredible. We suggest grilling out on the wrap-around deck while you watch the deer graze their dinner. Creekside is a 312 square foot (plus loft) secluded Tiny Cabin. It is nestled in the woods, with mountain views and absolutely stunning night skies. A picturesque year-round mountain stream is less than 50 feet from the cabin porch. The modern cabin was designed to be comfortable and appealing. Every "tiny" detail was considered. Although the cabin may have limited square footage, it feels roomy and uncrowded.
