The Treehouse is an architecturally designed space for 2 with a private covered balcony running down one side with views over stunning gardens & countryside. Originally a famous printmakers studio, it is now a large & comfortably furnished light filled bolthole. There are floor to ceiling windows, (with blinds) a large living area with fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is a romantic ensuite bedroom. The Treehouse is ideal for a relaxing break in a secluded location, 10 mins walk to Penzance.
Orchard Flower Farm is nestled within a beautiful valley just a few minutes drive from Penzance. The building is converted from an artist’s studio where the late Master printer, Hugh Stoneman produced work with highly acclaimed artists such as Sir Terry Frost, Patrick Heron, Sandra Blow and many others. The property itself is finished to a very high standard, including art work from the artists that originally worked in the space. With an open plan lay out, the Studio is light and airy, and with one wall comprising of floor to ceiling windows it allows uninterrupted views of the valley. With only the sounds of birdsong and water running in the stream, it is a perfect place to find peace and quiet. Guests also have full access to the 6 acres of land joined to the property and a wide range of walks in the surrounding area.
The studio is in a truly secluded position surrounded by 4 acres of wonderful Cornish gardens is located close to Penzance, the historic maritime port of Penzance, just 2 miles inland from the Cornish Coastline. St Ives, Lands End, Marazion, St Michaels Mount, Minack Theatre, Porthcurno Beach and the surfing beach of Sennen are all less than 10 mins drive away so there is plenty to see and do. West Penwith, the area of West Cornwall close to Penzance has lots of thriving and recommended, restaurants, bars and galleries to visit. Thi part of the world is well known for its stunning coastlines which are all accessible from the South West Coast Path. We also have some amazing tropical gardens. There's plenty to see and do - alternatively you can just chill with some magnificent views.
  • What a lovely place! So remote and quiet - a perfect place to be shut away from the world but equally super close drive to the shops and lovely coastal walks. Thoughtful touches like books and DVDS for our stay as well. Thank you for having us xx

  • The treehouse was absolutely wonderful. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The place had everything we needed so we were able to cook in most nights very easily. We also got a lot of local advice from Emma and Linda which we explored during the days, even managed to do a lovely long walk in the sunshine (in march, a lovely surprise). The place was very clean and had a very comfy bed! Mainly it's waking up surrounded by nature that is the most relaxing and enjoyable part about this place! Definitely recommend!

  • It was our second time in Cornwall, and after a stay in a pretty basic flat in Penzance last time we decided we wanted something a bit out of town and in nature. This place fits the bill perfectly! Easy to get to, close to everything, but hidden away down a small lane to give you a very private and very beautiful space. You wake up in the morning overlooking the trees and fields with nothing around you but nature, it's a good way to wake up! The place is very clean and has all the amenities you need for a short or a long stay. A big kitchen is available so it really feels like a home away from home. Beds are comfortable, and you can watch the stars from the bed or the bathtub through the skylights. We had a stubborn little cat visiting a few teams who was just the sweetest. If you don't like cats he's very easy to shoo away and won't come back.. but we couldn't resist its fluffy cheeks so gave him lots of cuddles. The host provides a plethora of tips and suggestions for things to do nearby so you're never short on ideas. Highly recommended, would visit again, 10/10

  • Great place for a quiet weekend get away. Very peaceful with the river running below and the sound of birds in the trees. Close proximity to St Ives and not far into Penzance. Great communication and information before our arrival which made the whole trip hassle free.

Our cozy, open-plan Cottage is the perfect couples retreat. Surrounded by lush green fields and set in the traditional granite courtyard of Hendra Farm. Woodland walks in the stunning Cornish countryside and waking up to the sound of nature will be sure to ease you into your holiday! The cottage is a charming space that has a warm homely feel, with the fire and underfloor heating. It is located just 20 minutes walk away from the heart of St Ives, away from the hustle and bustle. We accept dogs.
Come rain or shine, the cottage and it's sunny courtyard setting will no doubt create fond memories on any trip to Cornwall. With it's exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and great sense of space. We have taken care to make sure you will have everything you need for a comfortable Cornish retreat- from a fully equipped kitchen to all the local handy information you could need. Relax and unwind! I have grown up on Hendra Farm, although we don't have any animals (apart from our chickens!), we have a lot of land and space to roam about and explore, with woodlands, rope swings. The Steeple with it's 360 degree views to both coasts, in Steeple Nature Reserve is well worth a walk to. If you are looking for somewhere scenic that is a short stroll down the Cornish lanes to the town then this cottage is perfect for you. We provide towels- 2 bath towels and a hand towel- and kitchen essentials such as tea towels.
The Cottage is situated in the courtyard of Hendra Farm. There are 6 other cottages here, with 1 of them is a long let, 4 of them are holiday lets and my sister Kirsty lives in the last 1. It has a welcoming community feel, everybody is friendly and says hello whilst passing by.

  • If you are looking for a relaxing weekend get away to St Ives, studio 2 is the place to stay. It’s cosy, cute and clean. Jayce and Hannah are were very helpful hosts, very quick to respond to any queries and left us with lots of helpful recommendations for what to do and where to eat! We particularly enjoyed a walk along Porthminster beach followed by a cream tea at Porthminster cafe. We also had a lovely walk along the beach at Carbis bay. If you’re looking for delicious fish and chips then head to ‘Harbour fish & chips’ in the harbour of St Ives - worth a visit! Thank again Jayce and Hannah, we would love to come back in the future.

    Flora2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Prompt communication, fantastic and in depth recommendations that covered a range of options for us. Would definitely stay again! (And would recommend friends stay too!)

    Amy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah & Jayce’s communication could not be faulted- always responsive, very helpful, friendly & efficient :) We stayed in one of Jayce & Hannah’s cleverly converted farm buildings- one of 6 arranged around a cosy courtyard with paving/cobbles, foliage, flowers & a mature central tree. Outside each cottage there is a bench or a little garden table & chairs- lovely peaceful place to sit. Although the yard & cottages are at the end of a narrow country lane, we found the farm easily using google maps- though we couldn’t see a sign saying ‘Hendra Farm’ on the big, old stone posts at the entrance- but it was recognisable from the air bnb photos. Parking was easy in the lane just outside the entrance- no need to pull in unless you have to carry in a lot of heavy luggage. The little cottages felt immediately welcoming with the strings of lights draped decoratively outside- & lovely lighting inside too- thoughtfully left on for the arrival of guests. So too the under floor heating which made indoors feel very homely- The warmth was very welcome as we had had a 6 hours drive in strong winds & driving rain & mostly in the dark- cup of tea/coffee very much needed on arrival- these are provided- but remember to bring a little milk (& decaf, if that’s your preference). The cottage is open plan & spacious downstairs with a good sized kitchen with a table. There’s a sofa & TV area, & WiFi connection was easy. The bathroom is downstairs, tucked near the stairs at the back, all stone tiled with loo, sink & wet room shower- with toasty under floor heating too. Lovely :) Sleeping is upstairs under the eves on a mezzanine which lies over the whole downstairs footprint. Clean, comfy & cosy with more pretty festoon lights. There is plenty of floor & cupboard space for baggage. The peaceful, countryside location is great- I imagine, especially in the summer when St Ives itself is always rammed. If you have a car, it is less than 10 mins drive to centre of St Ives- or, if you have time & there is a bus stop a little walk away. We were driving, so did not locate the bus stop- but if the weather had not been so horrendous, given the nightmare finding a park in general space in St Ives, we would have tried out the bus! Even in horrid weather in Feb (tho, admittedly, half term), sharking round & round the official car parks, waiting for someone to leave, is the most likely scenario. Once parked, the cost is relatively cheap. All in all, we loved Hannah & Jayce’s style & appreciated their intelligent organisation. They also managing other lovely places on air bnb in/near St Ives that are worth checking out :)

'The Old Workshop' is a beautiful One-Bed modern home in easy walking distance to St Ives Town Center, Harbour, Tate Gallery, and beaches. The house has an open-plan living area on the ground floor with a spiral staircase connecting to the spacious light-filled bedroom upstairs. A perfect getaway for couples and singles wanting to escape the city and soak up everything that St Ives has to offer. Also, the entire home is yours to enjoy interruption-free for the entire duration of your trip!
'The Old Workshop' is a creative, light open space, with modern appliances (WiFi, Apple TV and NetFlix) that embraces a casual "Surf Crash Pad" kind of feel. The property catches the morning sunshine through the big open windows filling the space with light, perfect for sinking in to your morning coffee. A spiral staircase connects the downstairs living area with the upstairs bedroom, with Queen size double bed. There is also hard flooring throughout which makes easy work of sandy feet after long days at the beach!! There is a sofa bed available for an extra guest also. The sofa bed converts quickly and easily when you fold out the seat cushions. Great for crashing for a few nights but maybe not ideal for longer stays.
St Ives is full of steep hills as I am sure you are aware! Which is what makes this place great as it is on the relative flat with easy access to the town and beaches without working up a sweat. The house is located on Bedford Road, which is nice and quiet, safe with very little through traffic. 'The Old Workshop' is conveniently located about 150m from the nearest Convenience Store and Banks, 200m from the best Pubs, and about 400m from the Harbour and Porthmeor Beach (that's the one with the Tate Gallery). The house is in such great proximity to the town that it's really easy to pop out and back to re-charge, without having to spend the whole day at the beach or traipsing about town.
  • A great location, compact and clean, comfy bed too!

    Chris2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Surf Pad is in a great location for exploring St Ives. Rowan was flexible and responsive about check-in time and other communication. Although it’s compact, the accommodation is well equipped and has good WiFi and TV! We really enjoyed our break there.

  • This stay was just perfect for a 3 day visit to St Ives. The property was as described in the profile, cute, comfortable and had everything I personally needed. Its in a great location a 5 minute walk from town, so is pretty much on the doorstep to access restaurants, food stores, and even better the harbour walks. Rowans communication was fantastic before and after my stay, any questions were answered and all information provided before arrival about the property. A great price too, made it a great stay.

    Andrew2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rowan was quick to respond to any questions we had and gave us lots of tips on where to park. He was enthusiastic in ensuring we had a great stay. The flat was really close to the town and beaches and despite staying in stormy weather the flat was cosy!

Put a log on the wood-burning stove and get cosy after a day exploring beautiful St Ives. With exposed stone walls and a beamed ceiling with skylight, this quaint Cornish cottage is a place to create a memorable holiday. Wake up to the sound of birds tweeting and breathe in the fresh Cornish air. The seating outside in the courtyard of this enchanting cottage offers a serene spot for an afternoon cup of tea.
The cottage is a lovely, cozy space that has a warm and homely feel to it, with the log burner, exposed wooden beams and underfloor heating. It is located just a 20 - 25 minute walk away from the heart of St.Ives. Surrounded by lush green fields and beautiful walks in every direction, it just may be the perfect getaway from civilisation. If your looking for some where that has a scenic, peaceful feel to it, with the knowledge that just down the road you can be back to the heart of town, then our cottage is perfect for you. We have taken care to make sure you have everything you need for the perfect Cornish retreat- from a fully equipped kitchen to handy local information. I have grown up on Hendra Farm. We do not farm animals, so you wont be awakened by moo's or cockadoodledooo's, but we are sure you will love the space to roam around and explore the surrounding woodlands, play on the rope swings and fill your lungs with the fresh coastal air. The Steeple and Steeple Woodlands Nature Reserve are just up the hill. Come back and relax in this zen space. We provide towels - 2 bath towels and a hand towel - and kitchen essentials such as T towels. The closest bus stop is a 5 - 10 minute walk over the hill, which will take you to town, or other towns in cornwall. Or you can order a taxi to the front door.
Our cottage is situated in the courtyard of Hendra Farm, a short walk from St Ives surrounded by lush fields, woodlands, singing birds, and quiet Cornish lanes. There are six other cottages in the courtyard inhabited with friendly folk.
  • We stayed at this stylish cottage for 3 nights in March. The cottage itself if beautiful and full of character. The fire was a fantastic addition and we used this every night after a day of exploring. We did not meet Jayce and Hannah, but it was made clear they were available if needed. The cottage is located on a slight hill, about a 25 minute walk from town centre. We used a taxi to get in an out every evening (£7 each way). Overall, we highly recommend to others!

  • Great location, accommodation and hosts. Several cottages located in a courtyard which is situated in a very quiet location. Very picturesque with great attention to detail. Great communication from hosts. Only a short distance from St Ives. Highly recommend.

  • Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Cosy and comfy and very clean. It was close enough to St Ives you didn't feel out of it but far enough away that you feel like you have gotten away from it all. Would definitely reccomend. The fact it was dog friendly was a deciding factor for us and the dog loved the wood burner!

    Ellen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts :)

    Matt2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A homely, clean, cosy cottage set up in the hills above St Ives. Jayce and Hannah were the perfect hosts; detailed and speedy communication pre and during out stay. Lots of very good recommendations in and around the area; the Tinners Arms in Zennor being the highlight. The wood burner in particular was a welcome addition and really brought the place to life in the evenings. We would definitely return.

    Mark2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Despite the raging storm Ciara we have had a lovely few nights in the Barn. Its super cosy and our doggy Lola loved napping infront of the fire. Close enough to St Ives to enjoy it in the off season, but far enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Perfect. We needed to get hold of Jayce & Hannah and they literally called us within 5 minutes of our message. Thanks so much for our lovely little break, im sure we will be back!

  • We really enjoyed staying at the Garden Cottage. It’s charming, cosy and bijou, beautifully done up and in a wonderful location, off the beaten track. It’s close enough to St Ives to explore the town but far enough away to feel in the middle of nowhere. The walking in the area is great. Melanie is a wonderful and attentive host. The place is clean and the food and wine left for us were a lovely gesture. We’ll definitely be back.

  • A beautiful retreat, perfectly styled, cozy, comfortable, simply wonderful

    Valerie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A divine little love nest situated in the middle of the Cornish countryside. Hosted by the very gracious Melanie, who made our visit very special with the smallest of touches and attention to detail. This little snug getaway way was superbly kitted out, and to be able to have our dogs with us extra special. Being able to get up, throw a jacket and wellies over my PJs and walk the dogs in seconds in the heavenly Cornish countryside was a dream come true. For us the double bed was too small, to make the trip completely perfect and it has helped me realize I really need to check the bed size when booking through AirBNB. The kitchenette was amazingly equipped to cook Christmas dinner and much more! In summary you will not be disappointed.

    Heather2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem! Melanie was super helpful from the beginning, providing us some great recommendations for food/ places to visit. The Garden Room was perfect for our five night stay with the dog! Melanie had left us some goodies for when we arrived which were a welcomed treat after a long journey. Everything has been thoughtfully considered in every room, it’s beautiful! We enjoyed many bottles of wine by the lovely fire. Amazing beaches and restaurants in the surrounding area, our favourite being The Tinners Arms for a pint. Can’t wait to return. Thanks again Mel x

A Unique and lovingly renovated apartment, within very close proximity to all beaches in St.Ives. With its own outside space that catches the sun all day and late into the evening. Its the perfect peaceful, relaxing and romantic spot in lovely St.Ives
No.7 Teetotal Street, is a lovely place to reside in St.Ives, somewhere to relax and enjoy! It’s a listed residence and a part of an incredibly old and historical Area in the town called 'Downalong' this is traditionally where the fishermen and their families lived and stored their tackle and nets. WITH ITS VERY OWN OUTSIDE SPACE (rare in St.Ives) that gets sunlight from morning until late evening. I have tried to create a little sanctuary with plants and seating space for you to enjoy. The location; nestled within a small but perfectly formed, quiet traditional St.Ives street that’s very close to almost everything you would need to access to enjoy your stay, from beaches to restaurants, shops and walking routes out onto the beautiful cliff paths and The island. It really is the perfect spot. Coming through the traditional barn style front door, you have a FULLY Equip KITCHEN, with complementary, Tea, sugar and coffee, complete with breakfast bar, should you not want to utilize the huge amount of restaurants to your disposal when considering your dining options. THE TELEVISION is on a full tilt and swivel arm style bracket that you can turn to watch whether cooking, sat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen or seated in the lounge. It has digital channels at your disposal (reception in St.Ives can be poor at certain times of the day , this is due to tidal times and the weather). However, I have attached a HDMI lead so should you wish to bring your Apple TV or equivalent, you are more than welcome to attach it. There is a DVD player and a selection of dvds for your use as well. There is free WIFI and the code can be found on the card secured to the wall next to the router and dvd player. Please be respectful of the fact this is a 'residential' connection and although streaming anything is not a problem the connection is not one that will take being used for professional use or uploading or downloading huge amounts of data or videos. This will basically knock the wifi out for a while and you will need to reset the router. THE LOUNGE has a big bespoke Ibiza style day bed/sofa that is drowning in lots of cushions, pillows and throws that you can cosy into at night and watch a film, or hunker down with when the weather gets a little wild outside (mainly in the winter of course). All the cushions on the day bed can be taken out and placed on the bench outside should you prefer to sit in the sunlight with a drink and a good book, we just ask you take care of them and do not leave them outside in the rain or while you are not at No.7. THE ‘SEA WALL’ in the Lounge, is a big part of No.7’s unique features. It is a little fun spot to go to for maps (old and new) of Cornwall, Penwith and St.Ives. Very importantly it also has its very own Thermometer, Barometer to see what the weather will be doing plus a Tide Clock, showing the hours to high and low tide, which as you will witness in St.Ives is a very visible daily occurrence. However most importantly the wall has 3 features that you may want to utilise either outside at No.7 or at the Beach… 2 DECKCHAIRS that are hung on the walls with hooks that you can easily lift the chairs off and carry out. OUR LOVELY STRIPY WINDBREAK which is also set on hooks that you simply lift off . Perfect to take down to the beach to shield you from the breeze while you hopefully bathe in the sunshine of St.Ives. Just a little request : Please do take care of these items when taking them out of No.7, they have all been made especially for me by local sail makers in Penzance and we really wouldn’t want them lost or damaged unnecessarily. Please make sure they are back in their rightful places when it comes time for you to leave. THE BATHROOM has a lovely hot shower that you can use at anytime of day (switched on and off using the pull cord by the bathroom light along with the bathroom light that provides extraction for the steam) and guest towels galore for you to use from our boat ore towel rails. Please make sure your sandy feet are rinsed off outside using the exterior tap before showering, sand really is not a friend of the slightly antiquated drains in St.Ives. THE BEDROOM has an ample built in wardrobe , to unpack and store your bags, or cases. A cosy Double bed, with reading lights and plug sockets for phone chargers and the hairdryer etc. It also has a beautiful window seat to situate yourself at with a good magazine in the sunlight or to use as a little table when sat outside so the seagulls do not suddenly take an interest in you ☺The window is fitted with a black out blind , but also a net option for a little privacy, and a heavier grey curtain should you want to block the morning sunlight should a black out blind not be your thing. There are little wedges for the sash window should the wind make the frames knock a little. I really hope you enjoy the space, as I do when I am in St. Ives , its very special to me but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Best Wishes Gemma
BEACHES: No.7 is situated within equidistant of 4 of the 5 main beaches in St.Ives, Porthmeor Beach being my favourite, but Porthgwidden is a lovely spot too and your closest one to skip to, along with Bambaloose Beach (its a tidal beach though so at certain times of the day it isn't that accessible). The harbour beach is literally around the corner too and is quite the hype of activity in the summer but good atmosphere non the less. Porthminster Beach is little further away, across the harbour (10-15 minutes walk depending how busy the harbour is). Go Explore and if you feel like a surf go and see the lovely guys at St.Ives Surf School at Porthmeor Beach☺ WHERE TO EAT: Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, The Harbour Beach & Porthminster are close to and attached to some really lovely Restaurants. You must try and get a table at the Porthmeor Cafe for dinner or lunch, if not West Beach (which is open approx. June-September) on the far side of the beach has a lovely menu and is a fabulous location to chill out and watch the sunset over the beach. Porthgwidden also have a fabulous restaurant, for lunch and Dinner with sea view to boot. The Porthminster Restuarant which is on Porthminster Beach is famed and reviewed countrywide for its award winning menu and is also a fabulous location. If you do not feel like the walk over there, then there is plenty on the Harbour front to head to. Just around the corner is The Sea Rooms which is lovely in the day and in the evening, with all fresh local produce with a fabulous wine list and relaxed feel. Alternatively The Porthminster Kitchen is highly recommended, breakfast , lunch or dinner, you really cannot go wrong there and is the new sister of The Porthminster Cafe. On Fore Street there is amongst others; The Seafood Cafe which is a popular choice and further down Fore Street near the market place is Black Rock which is always highly praised for their food. Olive's Cafe near Teetotal Street is a little hidden gem too and Adrian the owner will always make you feel very welcome, great cakes!! I painted the outside wall of the café and now the inside for him too so let him know I sent you :). Bars like The Hub, The Balcony, Beer & Bird , Blass Burger & West Beach (Porthmeor) are more relaxed in their approach but are great for well made and good quality food, mixed with a bar feel to them.... there are so much more but I will let you go forth and conquer St. Ives on that front. TAKE A LOOK AROUND Norway stores is your closest convenience store, for basics on Back Road West. Fore Street, and the Harbour are the main shopping areas, there is an off license called Johns on Fore Street, which is stocked with anything you may require on that front, The Allotment Deli on Fore Street has everything from fresh fruit, bread , pressed juices and veg to olives, sandwiches and picnic items for the beach they even do toilet roll & tea bags and are the lovely gang that provide your welcome pack of goodies☺ Make sure you go and explore the coastal paths and walks local to St.Ives, they are breath-taking! Take a trip to the Tate St.Ives and don't forget to see the Porthmeor studios and Hepworth Museum , a truly insightful way of seeing the art scene and its famous historical effect on the area, one of my favourites .
  • Perfect location for a short break in St Ives. The flat was lovely and clean and was ideal for a couple. We also received brilliant restaurant recommendations as well as lots of useful tips on what to do on our trip. We would definitely return!

  • Amazing property. So quaint yet stylish. The property offers everything you could want from a short weekend break to a week or more away! The property is very central and located just a stones throw away from The Island car park. The property was extremely clean and we were welcomed by a delicious loaf of bread, butter, milk and a bottle beer. Very cosy at night time especially when you turn on the coal shoot lights. Gemma is a wonderful host and was very helpful and considerate when we had to amend our original stay due to my Daughter not being very well. Excellent communication from her side. Excellent stay, we will definitely be back!

  • The Sheppy was perfect for our 2 night stay in St Ives over New Year. Trisha was incredibly helpful and made sure the heating was on before we arrived. The Sheppy was super cosy, a great space for my partner and I and our puppy Molly. The fields beside the cabin meant Molly was able to have a lovely off-lead walk and play. It was a 5 minute car journey into St Ives and the off road parking meant get to and from into town was super easy. A delightful stay. Thank you so much.

    Laura2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start... Trisha and Allan went above and beyond to make sure not only our stay was amazing but also ensured our Christmas Day was unforgettable! Thank you so much for having us! If you’re ever in Sydney let us know :) :)

    Emma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a such cute little place to stay! Trisha made it feel so homely. Great fields to walk the dog which was a bonus. They went the extra mile and added breakfast bits which was amazing. Allen was great too giving us great advice on the location and walks for us. He wasn’t wrong about the Thai restaurant either amazing food. We loved this place sure to visit again. Peaceful and amazing!

  • I had a wonderful stay at The Sheppy. It is a beautiful little shed, that had everything I needed for a few nights in Cornwall. I met Trish briefly, but her husband Alan checked in on me a few times to make sure everything was ok. The Sheppy is in an ideal location, as it’s a few minutes drive from St Ives, and I was able to watch the most beautiful sunrises each morning over the fields! Will definitely return on my next visit to Cornwall.

    Vivienne2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful week at The Sheppy. It is in a nice location, opposite a cozy pub with great food. The owners had filled the fridge well, which was a pleasant surprise. And especially the heineken was appreciated. Were further received friendly and received many tips about the area. Recommended!

A quiet location near St Ives On the edge of the village, and down a lane off the St Ives road, this is a peaceful spot. However, you’re just three miles away from lively St Ives (you can even catch a bus 50m along the road), with its art galleries, restaurants and independent shops. You’re also close to Lelant (birthplace of Rosamund Pilcher) and the sweeping sandy beaches near Hayle. The Engine Inn in Cripplesease is half a mile away. It has a cosy bar, and a beer garden with views across the valley. The south coast Head south from Chypons, and you’ll soon be in Marazion (home to St Michael’s Mount) or bustling Penzance. Follow the coast road round to the fishing port at Newlyn and pretty little Mousehole; then strike out further west to discover a rugged coastline of hidden coves and dramatic mining ruins. The perfect holiday location Whether you want to relax on the beach, walk in the countryside, or explore West Cornwall’s many attractions, Chypons Farm is in the perfect central location. Our guests agree… Superb accommodation with every comfort. Spotless. Great base for touring especially when you can return at the end of a busy day to such a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. The gardens are lovely for relaxing in and listening to the birdsong. I have no hesitation in recommending Chypons Farm as the place to stay when visiting the area. Excellent all round. Beautifully-appointed cottage in a peaceful location. This is a lovely cottage, and we really liked the tasteful furnishings and the thought that had gone into setting it up for comfort and convenience. Best dog-friendly accommodation I've ever stayed in! The barn itself is very clean, beautifully decorated and everything is of excellent quality.

Belgravia Street is a quiet, residential street even though we are very close to the centre of the town. However I feel I should point out that there is a social club further along the street opposite which stages evening events, mainly at the weekends. This means that occasionally there may be a few customers standing outside the club in the evening chatting until 10 or 11pm. The noise is minimal and can be reduced substantially by keeping the front window of your room shut.
  • Andrew and Winnies place was lovely. It is a bright loft conversion and with private kitchen and toilet. There are many nice touches like some cereal and milk and lots of leaflets about the area. It is nice and warm with an electric blanket too. Thanks for a brilliant and relaxing stay!

  • This is a very comfortable room with all amenities and a kitchenette, a beautiful view from the window, you can see St Michael's mountain, a heated bed, the owners take care of the guests, there are information magazines about Cornwall, tea, coffee and much more. Very creative friendly hosts, ready to give you the right information and help, gave the local chocolate. Very friendly and cute cat :) Very good location. I really liked this room, it is comfortable and with all the amenities, and creative people will appreciate the cute interior and cool view from the window. Stunningly

  • Andrew and Winnie were lovely and welcoming and offered some great local tips. The space was beautiful, very homely with everything you need. I hurt my foot out on a walk and Andrew and Winnie very kindly helped me out in many ways.

  • Lovely atmosphere, the room was cosy, unique and efficient. Would recommend to a friend, it is within walking distance to everything you need and there are lots of places to explore locally. Even in the rain, the room still kept us feeling secure, safe and warm. The host was very helpful and gave us plenty of advise on places to visit, I felt comfortable to ask questions without hesitation. Was a lovely weekend!

Budget studio room with basic kitchen facilities. Adjacent shower room/toilet. Perfect for the economic traveler. The basement is part of an old Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of Penzance. Double bed and a comfortable sofa bed. Writing desk. TV. There's also a small contained kitchen area with fridge/freezer, cooker, toaster, kettle and microwave. 10 minutes from the train station or beaches and the town's famous promenade. This is a marvellously equipped room for budget travellers.
It's an old Georgian townhouse with wisteria climbing it's walls. Down some old granite steps is the studio. It's a large room but cosy and offers good privacy and of course it's very well equipped with a basic kitchen included so you don't have to eat out every night. The house itself is charming and very homely. There is a shower room and toilet at the entrance to the studio but there is also a larger family bathroom upstairs if that is busy.
  • A cosy welcoming space with cute kitchenette and character ☺️👨‍🎨👍

This is a small pretty terraced house 10 minutes walk to the town centre, Tate gallery restaurants, shops and beaches. The room is light and airy with a double bed, desk and TV. The bathroom is bright and contemporary, with electric shower. Towels are provided. Feel free to enjoy your breakfast in the lounge. There is parking and a small sunny back garden with table and chairs and a shed for surfboards. I HOST LADIES ONLY as the house is quite small and bathroom shared with me.
It is a perfect location for beach lovers and artists as it is close to all galleries and beaches. 5 minutes walk to Leach Pottery and convenient for the local art courses. The room has a tv, WiFi and desk. The bathroom is shared with one person (me). I will be at work most days so breakfast will be “help yourself” to tea coffee, toast, cereal. There will be space in the fridge should you wish to store lunches etc, and you are welcome to use the microwave and kitchen hob to make snacks, teas and coffee. You are very welcome to eat your meals in the lounge and relax there during the day. There is also space in your room if you prefer to eat there.

  • Jackie’s place is sparkly clean and welcoming. Lovely bedroom, very quiet with a comfortable bed. Jackie is very nice and makes you at ease to share her house. I was there for a week to take a class at the Leach Pottery, so for me the location was absolutely perfect. The house is at a convenient 15 minutes walk from the center of St Ives. I had a wonderful time and I am hoping to be back next year for another stay at Jackie’s.

St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives' history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the subtropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics.Skidden House at the bottom of Skidden Hill is the oldest working hotel in the town as well as the first hostelry where Guinness was sold in the UK in circa 1760. St Ives and St Columb Major near Newquay are the only two locations left in Cornwall where 'Hurling the Silver Ball' takes place, once one of Cornwall's most ancient and intriguing customs. St Ives and Carbis Bay have recently been presented with a Silver Gilt as part of the "Britain in Bloom" campaign, they also boast some amazing north coast beaches. But the main draw of the town has always been the stunning golden sands and azure blue waters, with glorious views stretching from Godrevy and Gwithian all the way to Hayle.Porthminster at Harlequins apartments is central for the areas and villages of the west of Cornwall, Land's End, Mousehole, Penzance and St Michaels Mount. Facilities for golf, sailing, course and sea fishing are all available within easy reach. You can take country and coastal walks or visit local country pubs for well-priced meals or shop in the local superstores in St Ives and Penzance. There are a wealth of gardens to explore. The mines at Lelant, Geevor, Bottalack and Poldark are a short drive away. The Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach are also well worth a visit.

  • We had a lovely week in St Ives. The apartment is a short walk to the centre of St Ives and Harbour, which was great to wander in to collect fresh bread in the morning and a drink or dinner in the evening. It was a good base for exploring beaches near by - Hayle and Gwithian about a 25 min drive and able to walk to local beaches too. We loved walking back up the hill but there were plenty of taxis to take anyone not wanting to walk. The apartment had two bay windows - one for the main bedroom and the lounge where we were able to sit at look out over Gwithian bay across the way. The outlook was amazing, we were very lucky to have a sunny week which made a stunning view. Our boys had no windows in their room and didn't seem concerned. The photos advertising were very true to life. The kitchen was well equipped. The lounge was very comfortable and a nice place for my family to be together. Communication was excellent Parking was good too. We had a really lovely week here.

Situated mid way between Hayle and Mounts Bay, Rosevidney Manor is a fabulous location to explore west Cornwall being less than 2 miles from both the North and South coasts. The Manor itself is a magnificent grade II listed building surrounded by mature gardens and the cottage is part of the converted coach house.Mounts Bay is, of course, dominated by St Michael's Mount, the jewel in Cornwall's crown. St Michael's Mount is accessed by a causeway, once walked by pilgrims in honour of the alleged appearance of Saint Michael, which is revealed at low tide. At other times visitors are ferried from Marazion to the Mount in small boats. The beautiful town of Marazion, set on the shores of Mount's Bay, has for long been a hot favourite for tourism in West Cornwall. Its clean, sandy beaches, with stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, have established Marazion as the most wonderful destination for beach holidays in Cornwall with long sandy beaches providing a safe seaside environment for swimming and other watersports including windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. A number of major sporting events in these fields are held in the bay.Nearby Penzance, meaning 'holy headland' is the last major town before Lands End. The market town was once made famous as the birthplace of Sir Humphry Davy, now services the Isles of Scilly by land and sea. The streets of Penzance hold many historic buildings dating from the 17th century; it is well worth a walk around. The Turk's Head pub on Chapel Street reputed to date from 1233 is the oldest pub in the town, steeped in smuggling and pirate history. A few minutes down the road is Newlyn, home to one of the largest fishing fleets with over 40 acres of harbour as well as more recently attracting many great artists and exhibitions.Hayle is dominated by the spectacular 3 miles of golden sands that stretch north towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse. A quite stunning beach that offers opportunities for sunbathing and surfing. When the wind is blowing, watch out for the windsurfers, particularly in the waves at the northern end of the beach. This is one of the best windsurfing spots in the country. In the town of Hayle, Paradise Park is always popular with both adults and kids with their fantastic collection of rare birds and animals. There is also a good indoor play area for the kids if the weather gets bad!St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the sub tropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics.

  • Stay here! The views and ease of getting into downtown on foot without the hassle of driving the very narrow streets makes this a wonderful place to base your St Ives experience. The home is exceptionally well fitted and easy to enjoy everything in the area. And it has a car parking space! We were here over Easter and when St Ives is hopping, that car space is gold!

Self contained small flat in quiet location, central for Penzance (6 miles), St Ives (4 miles), Hayle (2 miles) and West Cornwall. South West Coast Path within two miles. Lounge, bedroom, kitchen/diner and shower room/toilet. Please note that all spaces are non smoking
The small flat is in a country location in a quiet no through road. There are views of a wooded valley and across country to Carn Brea, near Redruth. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a lounge with TV and DVD player and a double sofa bed if required. The bedroom has a double bed. Whilst OK for a family with children, four adults might be a little cramped. Wifi is available free of charge. Smoking is not permitted in any area of the flat and an additional charge may be made if this is detected.
The flat is attached to our house, but entirely separate, in a quiet road leading from the main A30. The road itself is a mixture of old and new properties, mostly detached, and with a friendly population (most consisting of dog walkers!). Please note that there are no large shops, restaurants or pubs less than twenty minutes walk, although the local garage (about ten minutes walk) has a selection of groceries, newspapers etc.

  • Lovely place. Home from home, lovely little thoughtful touches to add to, clean, comfy, peaceful.. My best air bnb experience so far

    Thomas2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a 6 night stay at Jo’s apartment. It was clean, warm and welcoming and had everything we needed for our little break away. The walk to the centre of St Ives is down a long hill, it took us about 25 minutes (with our slow walking dog) however we didn’t attempt the walk back up, instead we opted for taxis which were readily available and around £5. Jo was a great host and we would happily stay there again. Would definitely recommend.

    Amy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very modern and tastefully decorated. Everything you could need. On the edge of St Ives so a country feel but very reasonable to get a cab back from St Ives in the evening. Would definitely stay with Jo again.

    Elaine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation, Really spacious, Everything you could need for a break away in St ives. Super easy check in, spotlessly clean and modern furnishings which made it a nice place to relax. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The breakfast touches were really thoughtful. Outdoor area is perfect if you have a dog, no going up and down stairs just open the door straight into a safe secure little courtyard. St Ives is a 15 minute walk (20 mins on the way back up if you’ve had a few) Great accommodation would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks!

    Harri2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jo’s place was very comfortable, clean & well equipped. It was a 20 minute walk down hill into town, which was much easier than trying to park. We’d definitely stay again.

  • Very comfortable and lovely touch with breakfast supplies 👍

    Stephanie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic modern flat, a short walk (or less than a fiver in a taxi) from town. Clean, with everything you’d need for a top notch stay in St.Ives.

  • I was looking for somewhere I could take my little dog and cane across this property. The communication was outstanding and the property was stunning. The extra touches of breakfast items really made it a nicer place to stay. Highly recommended.

Welcome to my listing. This is a small and cosy room with a new bathroom installed. Secure away from the rest of the property. The property is a short ~5minute walk from porthmeor beach and tate gallery. As well as the fantastic local restaurants and shops via Ayr Lane. I also can provide rare off road parking if guests require and ask. Entry is an uneven path and unfortunately not suitable for the disabled.
The room includes a comfortable double bed. Ensuite shower room with heated towel rail. Private entrance way. Parking on request. Television with freeview. Amazon echo. Fridge. Kettle with cups, coffee and tea. Large built in wardrobe with shelving. Plug in heater.

  • We stayed for one night. Great location for the town and the Tate gallery, about 5 mins walk away. Off st parking very handy. It was lovely - it’s a cosy room with a small but perfectly formed en suite shower room. Comfy bed. Lots of storage for clothes and shoes in a big wardrobe. Private access. Wonderfully comfortable light & airy room in my quiet home where I also live. Awake to enchanting sea view of St Michael's Mount through French windows opening out onto spacious balcony. Continental breakfast is provided.
I am offering a place of sanctuary and retreat within my home where you can relax and unwind after a stressful time or to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The room is beautifully decorated in calming colours, with a comfortable double bed from which there is an uninterrupted view of St Michael's Mount and the surrounding bay. Plenty of storage space, a TV/DVD, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities are all available within your private room, from which you can step out onto the balcony, where you can breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The house is in walking distance of the beautiful ancient market town of Marazion, where you can find a post office, pubs, cafes, restaurants and art galleries. At low tide you can walk to St Michaels Mount using the causeway or take the ferry at high water, stroll across the wide expanse of beach or even take a dip in the sea. I am perfectly situated for exploring the historic town of Penzance, the fishing port of Newlyn, seaside resort of St Ives, with Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum, and the quaint village of Mousehole, here you can enjoy freshly cooked fish and chips sitting on the quay. Other local attractions include the spectacular open air theatre of The Minnack and Lands End, There are also many beautiful gardens and beaches to explore in the area.
Very quiet and peaceful all you will hear is the sea.....oh and the sea gulls!
  • Both me and my fiancée had a great stay here for a get away before our wedding A good base to explore not only marazion but also all the towns and beaches nearby, would definitely recommend.

    Cian2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Castle View is a wonderful base for exploring Marazion and Penzance as well as the glorious St Michael's Mount. Comfortable, clean and welcoming, the property has a lovely feel to it that helps you relax and unwind. The private parking bay was especially welcome as parking is limited in the town. There are lovely pubs and restaurants all within walking distance (if you don't mind a little walk up the hill on your way back) and the local food and entertainment is excellent. Marita is a fabulous host and very helpful and friendly, providing access to her kitchen for a lovely continental breakfast each morning. Your own bathroom next door is large, has everything you need and is spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. The bedroom has a very comfy double bed, plenty of storage space, tea and coffee facilities and a sliding double door opening onto a large patio with seating. Here you can sit and enjoy amazing views of St Michael's Mount and some fabulous sunsets and sunrises. Definitely recommended and somewhere I will be visiting again very soon.

    Rick2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning and your Super Host, Marita, is a very special lady whom as an experienced traveller understands how to make your stay truly memorable, Firstly, the location. Positioned above the village of Marazion (15 min stroll to the centre) there is a picture postcard view of St Michael’s Mount which can be enjoyed from both the bedroom window and the glass walled balcony. Next door is an excellent Hotel restaurant and less than 2 minutes walk the local’s Pub The Fire Station which offers great food and excellent beers. The accommodation has all the facilities you would expect in a quality hotel with a good sized private bathroom. Breakfast consists of every conceivable type of tea, cereals; fruit, toast and jams. Marita understands what her guests appreciate and delivers with her professionalism and Sicilian warmth. We look forward to our next visit.

    Annette2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The problem with being at Marita's home is that it is so wonderful and nurturing to be there i am already trying to move my schedule for next year so i can come back. She has a wonderful system to prepare us to arrive. The room and private bath and clean and bright. The view is breathtaking for me. What she offers for breakfast is thoughtful to our needs. She allows us privacy and also great conversations. The location is easily accessible to the village and the castle. Clearly highly recommended

    Catherine2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home, the location is perfect for a trip to the south coast of Cornwall; easy drive into Penzance (12 mins) and Marazion itself is lovely, with St Michael’s Mount on your doorstep. The view from the bedroom is amazing and Marita is very welcoming.

  • I can't imagine anyone not liking this home :-) The location is perfect, the apartment is very stylish and comfortable, with an excellent kitchen. Everything was prepared for us with great attention to detail. Phil and Chris are friendly hosts, they welcomed us with lots of useful local tips. We are very grateful!

    Katya2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic, better than I had expected. It is a great size with a lovely living room, comfortable bedroom, bright and clean bathroom, and a full kitchen. Chris was very responsive to my emails and texts. She met us when we arrived and when e left. While we were there, she left us bread, milk, marmalade and other food for breakfast and they were delicious. The location was great for getting into Penzance. It's a 5 minute walk into the town. She gave us some great recommendations. You must check out the Cornish cream tea at "The Front Room" and eat at The Turk's Head, the oldest pub in town. The only slight hitch is parking as their road is tight and parking is all off-street. However, both nights we stayed in Penzance we were able to snag the last parking spot on the street. This place is great value for the money. I'd recommend it highly. It was without doubt the best value/place we stayed at in our 2 week UK visit.

    Martin2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really amazing! It feels like home! Plus, Chris and Phil are the perfect hosts. They will extend their services beyond what is just needed. They will make you feel like family. Plus, the house is really beautiful, posh, clean and sleek! Amazing! We almost did not want to leave.

    Paoline2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time @12 It was a really nice clean and self-contained flat (Chris and Phil were upstairs if we needed them; we didn't add everything was great). It was a short walk into Penzance which was a really lovely town. The flat was an excellent size and was big enough that we could have whiled away a few hours when it rained if we had needed to.

    Charlie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I can not put into words how much myself and my partner loved this place, after being let down from Thomas cook and loosing our first holiday away we decided to book Cornwall instead. And hand on heart I’m glad we did, from the minute we booked until the minute we left we felt so happy and content. Nothing was to much trouble and you both went out your way to make sure we were ok and happy. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and the pictures do not do it’s justice, thank you so much for making us feel so welcome with all the homely touches, to the bread and jam etc you left we cannot wait to come back in the summer! Thank you for making our time in Cornwall one to remember and cherish x

The Dry has off road parking, use of Hot Tub, lounging/dining area, the bedroom has an electric adjustable double bed, private wc/shower room. Kitchen with plenty of cupboard space, fully equipped, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, 3 induction hobs, Halogen oven, microwave. Above all very Peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, but only a 10/15 min drive from St.ives, Hayle and Penzance
You have your own private entrance into this lovely cozy self-catering unit, which is part of our house, you are welcome to use the conservatory and hot tub area which is also shared with my b&b guests (max 4 people). we are situated within a short 15 min drive of St.ives, Penzance and Hayle,
‘The Dry’ was originally part of the Wheal Sisters tin mine workings, all the tin mine workings had a ‘dry’; this is where the miners, after a long days work, went to wash and get ready to go home, whilst washing they would lay their wet clothes over the warm pipes to dry; hence the name given to the building. This part of the southwest is steeped in tin mining history. In the immediate vicinity besides the historical tin mining buildings, there are beautiful rural country walks with plenty of flora and fauna to see.
  • We had a fantastic stay here, perfect location for what we needed. Only difficulty we had was finding the property in the dark, with poor mobile signal. Thank you Brenda for your hospitality.

    Holly2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful, perfect for a trip to explore the wonders of the south west. Very accommodating, comfy furniture and bed! Hot tub is a brilliant extra and for where we were and the quality of the location and living space very good value for money. Would highly recommend for couples wanting a weekend away. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space and Brenda was a wonderful host. 5*

  • Brilliant place to stay! Plenty of space, easy to find, easy access, lots of space for all your kit - we took body boards and road bikes. We particularly loved the hot tub! Brenda who lives in the adjoining house is the perfect host, always there when you need her, always friendly, brilliantly helpful with local info - and also allows you complete privacy, in this self contained property. The place was very clean and had everything we needed Booking was really easy, and Brenda called to confirm and provide directions. She’d gone out of her way to accept our (very) last minute booking and can’t thank her enough. Highly recommended.

With an AA 4 star grading with gold award you can be assured that quality is important to the owners. The BnB suite with its own private shower room occupies to top floor of a 300 year old granite barn. With its own entrance this studio offers a perfect place to relax after exploring west Cornwall.
The BnB suite at Chypons farm is totally self contained with it's own entrance and is located in 300 year old granite barn. The building retains many of it's original features from a stable door entrance approached by steps that show the character of the old barn giving you access to your private BnB suite with its beamed and vaulted ceiling. The suite itself offers a good open space to relax and is fully self contained with king size double bed, 2 seater sofa, table and chairs. You have you're own private en-suite shower room. Our breakfast is a Cornish continental with Muffins made by Jordans of Marazion yoghurt from Trewithen dairy along with cereals, fresh fruit all to be washed down with Cornish apple juice, fresh coffee and Cornish smugglers tea.
This part of Cornwall is for those who love the countryside and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of St Ives yet want easy access so that you can enjoy this quintessentially Cornish fishing village with famous artistic connections.
  • If you want some peace and tranquility in your tours of Cornwall, look no further. We stayed in the beautifully renovated barn and found it spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast of Cornish apple juice , muffins and fresh fruit was much appreciated. Lots of little local pubs to drive to for dinner despite the remoteness of the location, but would not change that because with it brings super quiet!

  • Julian and Kate’s bnb was very lovely! They are great hosts who greet you on arriving, with suggestions of where you might like to visit. Lovely breakfast food in the fridge which was renewed daily. Best muffins ever! Lovely surroundings and very high quality furnishings. Would highly recommend!

  • Wow! What a place! A superb building, full of character and decorated so stylishly- we think Kate has a true gift for interior design: simply stunning. A great idea to have a continental breakfast in the room that contained everything we could have needed: homemade muffins, cereals, fresh milk, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. Everything was delicious and there was even enough if we’d wanted a midnight feast! Thankfully the fridge was quiet...phew! The bed was comfy, everything was spotlessly clean, we were warm and couldn’t fault the place! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Amazing trip away. The room is lovely, exactly the same as the pictures!! Great location and lovely garden. Room was always clean and topped up daily with a wide selection of breakfast/fruit/drinks etc. Private place and no noise. All round amazing and will definitely recommend! Will be coming back when I visit Cornwall in the future. Great hosts.

A very pretty semi-detached traditional Cornish cottage in a really convenient, yet quiet location between Hayle and Marazion. A charming cottage, full of character with low beams, traditional furniture and a very pretty cottage garden all around. Perfectly located for exploring west Cornwall and within walking distance of St Erth mainline station. One of our many dog friendly cottages.
Set in a pretty garden, this pretty semi-detached cottage next door to the Owner's house at the end of an unmade lane is in a peaceful, yet great location for exploring the west Cornwall area. Willow Cottage is full of charm and character throughout and whilst the cottage is not full of modern furniture, it is a real home from home where you will be very comfortable. There is a compact kitchen with a hatchway through to the dining room which has great character. The sitting room has a cozy wood burning stove. The pretty cottage garden is a real haven and benefits from the mild climate in this part of the country. This location is really fantastic, being close to Hayle and Marazion (for St Michael's Mount) and only a short drive to St Ives. The stunning beaches around St Ives Bay offer some of the best expanses of sand in the county with Porthkidney Beach and a 3 mile stretch of sand to Godrevy Lighthouse at Gwithian. Even better is the fact that St Erth station is a short walk away. This is a mainline station and also serves the St Ives branch line which means a visit can be made there without the car. A huge advantage if you want to enjoy some of the great restaurants around the town. There is some great countryside to explore near here, but a highlight is the stunning coastal road between St Ives and St Just where the moorland meets the sea - wild and dramatic! If you take the train to St Ives, the line hugs the coast and the views are quite beautiful. Both the north and south coasts are easily accessible from Willow Cottage, making it an ideal location for those looking to take advantage of the great surfing spots available in this part of Cornwall. Take your pick, depending on the conditions!Accommodation Ground Floor: Kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a wood burner. A bathroom with a small bath and over bath shower.First Floor: Master double bedroom with 4'6" followed by a single bed room.Exterior: Pretty lawned garden with plenty of flower beds and external furniture.Facilities & Services Heating is via night storage heating and the wood burning stove. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week, although please remember that dogs cannot be left unattended in the property alone. THERE IS PARKING FOR ONE VEHICLE ONLY in front of the cottage just off the lane. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. The village of Canon's Town is close to the larger town of Hayle, with both St Ives and Hayle a little further.Hayle is dominated by the spectacular 3 miles of golden sands that stretch north towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse. From Penzance you can take the Scillonian for a day trip to the picturesque Isles of Scilly, well worth a visit if you have never been. 10 minutes down the road lies Marazion famous for St Michaels Mount, home to a medieval castle and a working local community. St Michaels Mount is accessible by causeway at low tides, or by boat. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds.
  • It is hosted by Lynn the owner who was lovely. Thanks for the cream tea. Nice place, short drive from all the places we wanted to visit. The area where it is located does not have much in terms of attractions but the cottage itself is in a quiet leafy location away from an A road. Overall it was a good experience.

  • Come and enjoy a hideaway! It’s clean, it’s peaceful, its tucked away,it’s just you. Also, if you so desire, a cream tea will be provided! A lovely place to stay.
