Pleasant stay and very friendly host I recommend

My husband and I spent four weeks at Elodie’s house in St-Chinian and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to experience village life with easy access to urban areas and the coast. Béziers and Narbonne are just a 30-40 minute drive from St-Chinian, and the beaches in those areas are lovely. But there are also numerous picturesque nearby villages to explore including Roquebrun and Assignan to name just two. And Carcassonne is an easy day trip as well. The house itself is central, just off the square, but on a quiet courtyard, and has everything you need for a comfortable long stay Including dishwasher, full size fridge, washing machine, comfortable queen bed. Everything you need is within a quick walk — grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants. We highly recommend Le Cafe de la Paix’s weekly menu, and the traiteur Saveurs du Sud just next to the house offering home cooked meals on the weekends. Elodie was a perfect host — kind, professional and available. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Stuart & Jacquie's! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, loads of wildlife to enjoy. The house itself is lovely and comfortable. Stuart has loads of knowledge about the local wildlife and what we were likely to see and hear during our time there. He even lent us his binoculars and butterfly net :) A really lovely home from home and very welcoming hosts - we will be back again!

What a great place to stay! Rita's place is absolutely beautiful and in a beautiful surrounding, tons of natural light! I only wish I had extended my stay a few extra days because there is so much to do and see in this area. And when I say "this area", within an hours drive. I stopped by neighboring villages but would have loved to venture out a bit further. The village of Assignan is beautiful however I didn't eat at any of the restaurants but I heard they are worth going to. The internet/wifi was great which isn't the case everywhere in France so I was extremely happy I had no issues with work obligations remotely. And although there isn't a TV, I could easily watch Youtube or streaming channels so I didn't even miss the TV. Parking is just steps away from the front door (across the road) in a parking lot...always plenty of spaces available. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area! Kim
