Nagano's Happy House (Karuizawa West)　

Happy House is about a 30-minute drive or 15 minutes by train from Karuizawa, a summer resort, and is located in a secluded spot in Miyotamachi. It's the perfect log house for groups of friends, families with kids, solo travelers, and workers!　 From the skylight on the second floor, you can see the majestic Mt. Asama to the north, Mt. Hirao to the south, and the starry sky at night. Outside, you can use the barbecue grill on the roofed terrace. You can use it for an optional ¥2,000 per use. To bathe in the firewood-fired large pine bath in the separate building, the option is available for 3,000 yen. Please book by 12: 00 on the day. Please enjoy the use of the firewood stove for an option fee of ¥1,000. Please pay for each option in cash or PayPay at check-in. 　Nearby, a 6-minute drive away, is Hirao Onsen "Miharashi no Yu", which has an excellent view. And on weekdays, please stay for 2 nights. We renovated a riverside villa in the forest of Karuizawa. The grounds of this great location are about 2,500 ㎡! Feel the extraordinary atmosphere with a large sofa and fireplace in the living room, a large yard and outdoor dining. In the bathroom, you can enjoy a JAXSON jet bath, a large sauna for 4 people that can be used at the same time, and a rain shower in the bath. Please note that in a natural environment, insects may occur indoors during your stay, as we are renovating an old villa. If you have an excessive allergy to insects, please refrain from booking.

This is a stylish log cabin located in a pristine wooded area at an altitude of 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) in Iizuna, Nagano. The home is the perfect retreat for couples, families or small groups. It features a wood burning stove, large TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, stereo, leather chairs, and full kitchen. Enjoy hiking, skiing, BBQ, golf or hot spring onsen baths in the area. The home is approximately a 20-minute drive from Nagano Station on the JR Hokuriko Shinkansen bullet train and Shinano Railway.

Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

Quiet Rural Retreat in a traditional Japanese house. We renovated a 80 years small wooden house by ourselves taking a long time. The building used to be used for raising silkworms by farms. It was our culture and industry to get silks in this area. You can have a calm time for having Coffee and beer, reading books, listening music... The village is surrounded by nature for hiking to mountains and rivers. Some local families live in around the house, so please stay like the village people.
