Tucked along a quiet dirt road, the cabin is ideally located 15 minutes from South Haven and 10 minutes from St. Joseph making it close enough for dining, shopping, and activities, yet far enough to unwind in nature’s calm.

Lake Michigan Moon Barn

Welcome to your home away from home that we lovingly call the Moon Barn. We are situated in between South Haven and Saugatuck just a mile away from a hiking trail with public access to a Lake Michigan beach. Our home was built in remembrance of a family barn that sat on this location generations ago. It has natural barn wood and art works integrated throughout the house. Downstairs has a complete kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with a gas fire place, full bathroom, and a piano!

It is surrounded by woods and trails and easily accessed by road. Escape to a peaceful retreat tucked in a wooded community with access to private no-wake Goshorn Lake, yet only 5 min drive to downtown Saugatuck and 10 to Oval Beach. 2 covered porches, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit and grill make this a perfect all-season getaway. Thoughtful layout works great for families with kids, gatherings with friends, and romantic getaways. Cabin is also next to a bike path that takes you to town (10 mins) Beach (20 mins), or Hiking (20 mins).

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.
