Holiday rentals with a kayak in Scituate

Marla's vacation home was very lovely. We liked the pictures of her place, but once we arrived we realized that she had remodeled a number of rooms. Each room was updated, very clean and cozy. Marla has made sure that her place is stocked with all of the large and small conveniences that guests would want in a home away from home. The location and the surroundings are stunning, especially with the Fall foliage. One can tell that Marla takes great pride in her beautiful rental. -Mark & Susan G

What a cool spot! Stayed a couple nights with friends for a "Book Retreat" and had the best time reading in the Hammock, chatting by the fire pit, and cooking together in the kitchen.

Excellent experience. Easy check in and the place was perfect, she even had some snacks waiting for us upon arrival. Easy walk to the ferry into Boston, and easy parking. It was winter, but there were plenty of outdoor activities so we'd love to come back during the summer. Older house but so charming and great location. Overall great communication before, during, and after; she even offered to ship a shoe my niece left behind to us. Would love to come back and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great place in Hull.

We are locals from the area who were staying in town with out of state guests while our house was being renovated. We already love Marblehead and this place made us love it even more. It is so well appointed and the nautical theme is so quintessential Marblehead and homey. the beds were incredibly comfortable and the house was so quiet given it is on a fairly busy street. It has everything you could need for a cozy and peaceful stay and the hosts are such accommodating people who succeed in making guests feel at home. This was the best staycation and we’d love to come back sometime. HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who wants a centrally located home right near the beach!! The property was stunning and impeccably clean, matching the description perfectly. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the convenient location with a trail to see horses and access to the lake. The host was incredibly accommodating, and we are looking forward to returning with our family. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide garage access to the house for elderly guests who may have difficulty with stairs, as the pathway, although beautiful, was quite lengthy for my elderly parents. Nonetheless, we all had a fantastic time. Thank you.

A great base while my child attended a sailing course at Duxbury Bay Maritime School. This is a lovely area. Bogs, salt marshes, beaches. The house was very clean and beds super comfortable. Sunset over the pond is beautiful ! Advertised as max 8 people though there is only bed space for 4. Having said that, there is plenty of space in the house for more people with air mattresses. Only other comment is that there is not much in the kitchen. Nespresso machine but no pods. No other coffee maker that I saw. Salt and pepper in the cupboard but nothing else. No pasta strainer. Small things that didn't overall impact our experience but worth mentioning.

Craig’s place on Pelican Bog at Wood Pond was the ideal retreat for our moms’ weekend getaway. Even with a bit of rain, we fully enjoyed the peaceful outdoor space—fishing off the dock, a refreshing dip in the water, and the pond swing, which was such a relaxing and unexpected highlight. The home itself exceeded our expectations. The living room was so much cozier and more spacious than the photos showed—perfect for lounging, laughing, and catching up. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making meal prep a breeze. We didn’t find ourselves needing a single thing. Craig was incredibly responsive and took a lot of care to make our stay enjoyable including putting the fishing poles, kayaks, and chairs out for us so enjoy right as we arrived. The air hockey table was also a really great addition. All in all, it was the perfect setting for reconnecting and unwinding. We would absolutely come back!

Beautiful home! My family felt right at home. Kitchen had everything we needed and had toys and games for all ages. Antionette was very responsive to any questions and wrote back right away. Location was ideal. Easy walk to town and nearby lighthouse. Would recommend. Thank you for helping make a memorable vacation for my family.

We had the most amazing week at the Duck and Drake cottage. For starters it was the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. We actually gasped when we saw the beautiful view of Long Pond. It was peak fall foliage and the house sits right on the pond with no obstructions. The small adorable beach is just three steps down and we sat there every morning enjoying our morning tea. Yes there was even an actual tea kettle. On that note the house was well stocked with all you would need. A very detailed house handbook answered any questions we had. The beds and all the furniture were comfortable. It was just a peaceful and lovely week that I will be dreaming of for a while.

Leah responded to my booking request within minutes. This was so important because our previous reservations fell through. This was a last-minute booking and I’m so thankful that I was able to find such a wonderful location. Everything that was in the listing was accurate and we felt right at home after an easy check-in process. I cannot thank Leah and Brandon enough for their willingness to let us rent their beautiful cottage last minute. The home is fully stocked with anything that we may have needed. It was a little chilly, but the space heaters were enough to get us through the chilly nights. My kids and I were able to watch Halloween movies on the TV while gazing at the full moon from the skylight above in the living room. I’m looking forward to going back to Massachusetts in the future. There are so many different things that this town and surrounding towns offer.

We had a wonderful time! My family and I took our first little getaway trip with our 2 little ones. Not only was the host super responsive, but they were so welcome and allowed us to check in early which was so helpful with 2 infants. We will definitely be back in the summer so that we can take advantage of the summer amenities!

We loved our stay at Stella Serena. It was close enough to the city to see the attractions, and yet allowed us to end our days in a peaceful, quiet town surrounded by beauty. We had a special treat of a full snow day while we were there, allowing us to enjoy a spectacular view.

My family and I had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving at this beautiful beachside home. Spacious, lots of light, really clean, great place for walks, close to a nice supermarket. Had a great time and would love to stay again! AAA+

What a beautiful spot. My goodness, it is such a gem on White Island pond which exceeded our expectations. We love being outside and this spot is everything we needed for a getaway. I don’t think I wore shoes the whole and have tan feet to prove it! Outdoor shower was delightful in the morning. We watched an eagle that lived across the pond, a Fourth of July boat parade and lots of activity on the water! Thanks Sheree for sharing your place with us!

This house was in a great location. It was very peaceful. The neighbors were friendly. The area was very nice and the people were nice. Would highly recommend.
