The Sea Level Inn is perched between Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Lookout National Seashore, quaint NC fishing towns and historic Beaufort. Built in the 1950's to support ferry traffic to and from Ocracoke, the Inn was converted to condos in the mid-1990’s. With few distractions from the normal hustle and bustle of every day life, the Sea Level Inn is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the NC coast. There is a pier for fishing, a gazebo and deep water boat slips.
“Our family enjoyed a lovely month at Sea Level in Brooks and Kelly's cute little place. It was incredibly peaceful. And that view! We had every amenity we needed, and they were quick to answer the few questions we had. My parents stayed for the first three weeks and spoke highly of the friendly neighbors too. :) We will definitely try to return at a future date. If you enjoy peace and quiet and don't mind a bit of a (pleasant) drive to stores and activities, then you can't beat this place!”

“Ms. Clarice and Johnny’s house is homey, inviting, comfortable, and a perfect location to experience everything Down East. The beds were comfortable, food was amazing, and the hospitality was wonderful. We really hated to leave! They gave us great tips about travel times and other things. We cannot say enough great things about our trip. The breakfast each morning kept us full. They packed our breakfast for us two days when we went to Ocracoke and Cape Lookout. We had fresh squeezed lemonade and the best sweet tea in Stacy!! If you are looking for true Southern hospitality and a place where you feel at home, this is your place.”

“If you love remote, rugged, unique, off-the-beaten path travel experiences, you'll love Cedar Island, and there could be no better place to stay than Violet's. The kitchen is amazingly well-appointed, especially considering its modest size, with everything you'd need to cook a gourmet meal. The bed is very comfortable, there's wifi & Netflix, and a large, beautiful front porch with an amazing view - perfect for coffee in the morning. Violet has thought of every last detail in terms of supplies, amenities, and small touches inside. There is an austere, untouched beauty about the surrounding area that those with a taste for adventure will love. There's a beautiful and largely uninhabited beach just down the road, and great fishing and kayaking in the nearby Refuge and beyond. Beaufort and Morehead City are only 45 minutes way, and both offer more lovely beaches and many activities. If you go to Beaufort, be sure to check out the Old Burying Ground with graves of Revolutionary & Civil War soldiers. While in Cedar Island, bug spray is a must.”
