This unit was quite comfortable and nicely appointed, with original artwork displayed in all rooms except the kitchen (this was a nice touch). Situated on the main level, it did not require using an elevator or climbing stairs to enter, yet because of the sloping lot, the windows were still well above grade and so was quite secure and relatively private. The queen bed was quite comfortable - not too soft or firm - with ample pillows and extra blankets. The shower was quite nice - ample pressure, hot water, and overhead clearance. The HVAC system is powerful and responsive, and ceiling fans improve ventilation even further. The kitchen stove heats up very quickly for an electric range. The dishwasher is on the loud side, so it's best to run it when you're not going to be around. Kitchen equipment and staple seasonings were adequate for simple meal preparations.

We loved the place, the building, and the atmosphere there. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is the right place for you. Allison was a wonderful host. She is friendly and a very down to earth peron. Her response to our questions were fast and helpful. We look forward to renting to her again.

The location and view of the condo was beautiful and it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Host was very responsive when I texted about the smoke detector chirping due to low battery and promptly brought up a fresh one. The grounds were immaculate and the private beach felt like a tropical vacation. We were very impressed with SML and will definitely be back. Thanks!

We love this place. It is such a great place for families because everything is so close. You can do the pool or the lake. The guys at the boat house are great and everyone was super helpful and kind!

What a wonderful stay at Penthouse View. The views are beautiful. The condo is comfortable, clean and a quiet surrounding. Loved the screened porch along with many other amenities. The condo is located in a beautiful quiet area. The communication with Leslie and Craig is frequent, friendly and helpful. Leslie made great suggestions for places to eat and activities. Though I didn't need it, I knew if I did need something, they would respond quickly. Thanks for a great stay!!

Great place to unwind after exploring the surrounding mountains in Roanoke. The onsite brewery is a great perk!

We really enjoyed our visit. Was able to relax and refresh our batteries. The amenities, walking paths, and view made all aspects of our trip worth the expense.

This is the perfect place for a date weekend when you need a place to rest and sleep! While the place was small for us and our Dogs, it was perfect because our goal was to be on the lake anyways! Great amenities and boat dock! The place was decorated very cutely and host was very nice and responsive!

5/5 Stars – Absolutely Perfect Stay! This place was everything we hoped for and more! The home was beautifully maintained, incredibly clean, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need—kitchen essentials, cozy blankets, extra towels, even board games for downtime. The attention to detail was amazing. The location? Unreal. Waking up to the lake view every morning felt like a dream. We enjoyed peaceful coffee on the deck, watched the sunset over the water, and even spotted a few deer nearby. It was the perfect blend of nature and comfort. The outdoor/indoor amenities were truly next level. We spent couple early mornings at the indoor pool, soaking in the hot tub. and staying active with the incredible sports setup. Between the basketball court, pickleball, and tennis, there was never a dull moment—and something for everyone to enjoy. Bruno restaurant food was great and convenient It felt like staying at a private resort!

This place was perfect and met our expectations and needs. Recommend staying here if in the area or passing through!

Beautiful peaceful place for a Fall getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was on the beautiful lake. The screened in porch is a huge bonus. We had plenty of space for our bags and my son's toys. It was very kid friendly. They really thought of off the amenities you might need on vacation. We will definitely be back some day. Thank you for a great stay!

Very clean. When i needed assistance, Stefan responded quickly. We were there to fish. We were able to put our boat in and had hook ups for the boat. We will go back! We were worried about leaving the boat in the slip but there was security making rounds during the night. Already talking about going back!

This was our first time staying in an Airbnb and the first time we visited SML. Our experience was great from our initial inquiry regarding boat launching, docking, and trailer storage at check-in to our departure 5 days later. Armand obtained the info and map links from the security office that we needed to launch the boat and store the trailer. which made it easy once we arrived. The view from the condo is beautiful any time of the day, but the view of the sunrise across the lake behind the mountain is absolutely stunning. We were very comfortable and felt at home during our stay. If you have a boat, bring it, you can’t beat waking down to the dock on this water playground with marinas, restaurants, beaches, and shops to visit. We’re looking forward to returning in the Spring.

We totally fell in love with Lauren's place! It was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. This was our second visit to Smith Mountain Lake, as we are starting to get a feel for possibly retiring to that area. Lauren answered any questions we had quickly. We would definitely like to go back!

I really enjoyed my stay! Everything was carefully thought out in the studio. All you needed was available. Brooke was an amazing host. She was prompt in responses and very kind and helpful! I look forward to staying again in the near future!
