Holiday rentals with a fire pit in South Kingstown

My main search was for a pet friendly rental so I could invite friends with a senior golden retriever. And secondly I wanted to be near the ocean. Having lived on Cape Cod for 25 years, I moved back to Connecticut a year ago after the passing of my wife. But the call of the ocean never fades and this rental was steps from East Beach. My stay was in February and the weather wasn't the best, but beach walks are always best when the only footsteps in the sand are your own. The rental was very accommodating with 3 bedrooms, a spacious living area and large, fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of outdoor seating is also included. Melissa was very attentive and always responded quickly when needed. I definitely recommend this rental for a peaceful adult retreat or for a full family vacation. Kids will love it with the big yard and kayaks available. Enjoy, John

This house was a perfect place for our annual family gathering. There were 9 people from 16 to 83. The open space, first floor bedroom and bunk room were perfect for our group! Ciara was a great host!!

My sister and I came for a long weekend with my two kids, 5 and 8 years old, and her dog. The place was wonderful! It was great to have the kids rooms right across from mine, and then my sister had some privacy downstairs with her ensuite room. We loved walking to Pebble Beach every morning, the kids had a blast looking for cool rocks and shells, and scrambling up all the rocks. We loved the proximity to Newport for restaurants and activities, but the peace and quiet of the location. The living room was also super cozy, and we ordered in and watched movies a couple times. The wifi was a little spotty, but workable to watch Netflix. There was also a cool old DVD collection downstairs! The kids also loved the swings outside and all the games inside. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and are already talking about returning.

Monica’s home was just perfect. Beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. Had all the amenities you would need. She was a great hosts, providing local events to check out during our stay and eh was extremely responsive and personable. Would definitely stay here again!

Heather's home is a jewel. All the mechanicals are topnotch and the house is comfortable and charming. It is clearly a well-loved home. This is our second visit and it feels like a privilege to be allowed to enjoy the ease of the space and the serenity of the area. Heather is a wonderful host who anticipates needs that you didn't even know you had. "A place for everything and everything in its place" seems to be her operating principle. As guests, we very much appreciated this thoughtful aspect of how the house functions. The expectations for guests are clear and appropriate. Should questions need to be answered, Heather is unfailingly prompt and and helpful. At some point in the future we hope to book a summer stay just to try the outdoor shower. It looks amazing! Great location on the East Side of Providence, very walkable to Brown and nearby dining options within a 10 minute walk. Easy drive to anywhere in Providence. Very clear communication + instructions for the apartment.

Bert and Nancy's place was way above our expectations. Bert greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour. The property was beautiful, peaceful and serene. The inside was exactly the way it was pictured. The inside had a Zen feel. The inside was clean, spacious and everything you would need was there and available. Cute little touches were added throughout the room that were cute. I loved the light up birch tree. We didn't get a chance to walk the nature trail and wish we had. I am sure though it was beautiful. Bert had great communication. If you are looking for a retreat type place to get away this is your place. It was relaxing and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Annette’s place was perfect! There is always a person at the concierge desk if you have questions. The building is very safe as a key fob is needed to get in and also devices to access the garage area. The place is open and feels bigger than it is for a one bedroom apartment. We chose this area as we were going to the Amica Mutual Pavillion for a concert and we were able to walk to and from the event. We also went into Newport about a 30 minute drive to see the mansions and the cliff walk. It was a quick and relaxing getaway! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you! Marie C.

The apartment is spacious, cute and well equipped. Sean was very responsive via email and text and flexible about the check-in time, which was helpful. The neighborhood is great and Sean provided useful recommendations in his guide.

We had a very comfortable relaxed stay! The space was clean and well equipped. The beds were soooo comfortable as was all the living room furniture! Craig was very responsive and accommodating to our schedule. We lived the location and made two visits to the close by Big Red slide and walked the beach! So close! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return.

This was a true gem--the best experience I have had in over 15 yrs of using AirBnb! The attic apartment is as cozy as it looks online, tastefully designed with an aesthetic eye, spotlessly clean, and super well-appointed. The space is lovely and quite luxurious. I am very glad I stayed there as a long-term renter. The weather was not too hot or cold when I stayed, but the heating was easy and controllable by room. Knowing I would be needing to cook meals, do laundry, etc., Susan had truly equipped the apartment with everything I might need, including getting a new countertop oven for baking in case I needed it. She and her family were always helpful and had lots of local suggestions of things to do/see/eat, as needed. They live in the building and Susan is super responsive! The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and its easy to get to/from Brown Univ. I felt safe walking home even after dark. I would stay here again, no question, and I hope I have a chance to come back soon!

We booked Tyler and Lauren’s place for a wedding we were attending in the area. It was perfect for our needs and close to the wedding venue. Their place was clean and comfortable and we took advantage of their outdoor fire pit area, including the s’more fixings they left for us. They have a lovely yard and Lauren was incredibly friendly and responsive with all of our questions and concerns. I would absolutely stay there again if visiting RI.

Great lakeside retreat! Perfect for our small family!

We had a lovely stay here. The place was as described - Cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a weekend getaway. Johannah was very responsive and also left us with a thoughtful welcome package. We ran into a minor inconvenience during the stay and she was able to resolve it quickly. Would definitely visit again!

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

I really liked all the outdoor activities my daughter and I did! Karen let us borrow the games inside the cabinet and they were pretty interesting. There's a lot of beds, and they are all comfortable. I really like the view when we were sleeping on one of the bed because you can see the lake when the sun sets or rises. It's really beautiful and I really liked spending time on the canoe and having this vacation! My family and I loved coming here and hope that we can come again. We enjoyed staying at this cabin very much! We didn’t want to travel far this time. Sometimes it’s hard to find places like this, in the early spring, without having to hike half way down south. Where we can enjoy the peace and quiet yet have a lake/beach etc, with decent weather. Joe’s cabin is very cool. If you enjoy traveling back in time, there are plenty of antiques all over the cabin!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. Tucked away in the woods right on the lake, it was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax. The cabin itself was adorable, clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We only spoke to the host (Angela) briefly, but she was so kind and welcoming, and let us know she was available if we needed anything. It truly felt like a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

Gary was extremely helpful and responsive. The house is beautifully designed. The only downside was the ticks—we found several on our dog throughout our stay. Apparently, male ticks are less likely to transmit diseases, but I’d recommend giving your dog tick prevention medication before your trip, just to be safe.
