Holiday rentals with a fire pit in St. Simons Island

We loved staying here! Perfect location; walkable to both beach and restaurants. House also had everything you could want and the neighborhood is quiet! Definitely recommend.

Our stay at the pond house was exceptional. The home, while older, possesses considerable charm and a welcoming atmosphere. Evenings spent by the pond were tranquil and delightful. In short, our experience was outstanding. Carolyn's responsiveness to our inquiries was also greatly appreciated. We intend to return.

We booked this house for our annual family vacation, there were 12 of us, we each had our own space, the house was very comfortable. It had all the amenities you would need for a large group. Pamela was an excellent host, very attentive to our needs and always responded to our calls.

My family and I found this house largely by chance when we decided on a place to stay on vacation, and we were so thrilled with it that we booked our vacation here next year before we’d even checked out this time! The house and location were beautiful, and everyone (including our kids and VERY energetic German shepherd) had plenty of room and fun activities to do. Kat is a fantastic host! Before we’d even arrived, she sent us messages with recommendations for things to do in the area (which we checked out several during our time and all were well worth it!!). She also was very responsive to any questions we had - right down to a fabulous recommendation for a local massage to treat a muscle strain in my shoulder. She was an incredibly gracious and kind host. We felt right at home here and were sad to leave - and already excited to come back next vacation to what feels like a home away from home. Parrot’s Landing was perfect for getting our kids & grandkids together. The little ones were so entranced by all the features of the house we had trouble getting them to the beach at first. But the beach was so handy we did get them there at least twice a day. The house is laid out so as to give everyone privacy when they want, but several great common areas for play, conversation or watching video. And Jekyll Island itself is a great place for walking and biking.

A beautiful cozy yet spacious home by the sea! Honestly the photos don’t do it justice. Very close to boardwalk and beach access. Just a short easy walk to driftwood beach, and definitely recommend spending an afternoon there. The kitchen has all the basics covered and the community is clean and quiet with friendly staff. Beds were comfy and had no trouble sleeping, which is usually a struggle while traveling. Mary is extremely responsive and even helped find and return a few things I forgot while packing to leave. Which is not something I usually expect from a host, but the effort was very appreciated! Highly recommend and will likely stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Perfect department for one or two people right next to an excellent barbecue joint and although the restaurant next-door does generate some noise, it died down by 9 o'clock and they're locked up by 10. I believe the barbecue was excellent. It was just what I needed passing through it's not far from 95. It was a five star stay for me. I needed a good night sleep peace and quiet and that's what I got. Excellent communicationand Easy to the apartment via lockbox if you prefer contactless entry and privacy it's perfect. The cabin is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Quiet, tranquil, and peaceful. Easy 1 hour drive to the Golden Isles. We also enjoyed trips to parks and hiking trails in Waycross which is also about an hour away. Cabin is appointed with everything you need and Michelle is responsive to any questions and concerns you might have. Be aware that depending on when you visit it might be buggy and bug spray did very little to deter the little gnats. All in all this is a beautiful place where you can be away from the hustle of the city and recharge your batteries. Michelle sends you clear driving instructions, pay attention, and you won't have issues finding this gem.

Katie is fantastic! All communication was very clear and friendly. Cabin was charming, peaceful, corky and relaxing! This place was exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend and have already told a few friends about this place. A hidden gem for sure!

My wife and two kids (8 male / 4 female) stayed for the weekend at the 'Rum Runners' Cabin. We were amazing by the beautiful, private retreat it provided. While the property does have 5 or so other cabins located on the property, they are spaced out by hundreds of feet. I actually found it a little comforting to know that there were some other people nearby. The cabin, while maintaining an incredible patina color of 100+ year old wood on the outside, was beautiful decorated with modern comforts with traditional designs. You are not 'ruffing it'. Furthermore, they did a fantastic job of providing so many of the odds and ends of a cabin trip many visitors may forget to bring. Everything from a fully-stocked s'mores pack with everything needed (including skewers!), sun-screen packets, fishing poles and tackle gear, etc. My family spent the days enjoying the property, fishing, camp fire and s'mores, and two days with NO TV!! We will certainly be back.
