You will be staying with the harbour master of Woudsend, Corine. The cottage's flower garden (butterfly garden) offers plenty of privacy and is situated right below the 't Lam' corn mill. Come here to unwind with your loved one, away from the hustle and bustle. You will find peace and quiet, and you will be woken by the sounds of tits, blackbirds and sparrows (and sometimes, on Sundays, by the church bells). These new (2023) thatched villas of Wetterhaghe have a beautiful unobstructed view over the Poelen, the Weisleat, right in the middle of the Frisian lake area. The sustainable villas have their own jetty with possibly a beautiful 8-person electric boat! The sloop is available between April 1 and November 1. Just sail to the village for a drink or in the morning to the bakery for fresh rolls. But a day trip on the Frisian lakes is also a quiet sensation!
