[Up to 11 people] Fully equipped with a BBQ area | 165 m² private log house with a view of Lake Biwa | Spacious 3LDK + loft
- A luxurious moment carved by a solid log - It is a 165-square-metre house. The spacious three-bedroom, two-living-room, one-dining-room plus loft property is ideal for multi-generational trips or close-knit groups. It's a genuine log cabin that's 30 years old.It doesn't have the complete soundproofing of a modern home, but it's a warm space where you can feel a sense of togetherness with your friends. For those who can appreciate the "flavour" of a log house. ◎ A special space unique to the log house The facilities are not as shiny and new as those of the latest luxury villas, but they have the unique scent and warmth that only aged wood can provide. We would love for those who can enjoy the slight scratches and signs of age as part of the "charm of a mountain house" to rent this spacious property. There is a loft that children will love as if it were a secret base, a Japanese-style room on the ground floor that is also suitable for a three-generation trip, and a dedicated BBQ area equipped with a Weber grill. ◎ Overlooking Lake Biwa, experiencing the four seasons with all five senses On a clear day, you can see Lake Biwa sparkling in the distance. In spring, there are the cherry blossoms of Kaizu-Osaki; in summer, swimming in the lake; in autumn, the autumn colours of the metasequoia trees; and in winter, skiing. Why not spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, wrapped in the warmth of a log cabin, in a nature-rich environment where monkeys sometimes make an appearance? We look forward to your visit.

Nordic Mountain Cabin Takashima | Near Lake Biwa | Campfire | Sunset | Stunning Mountain Views
This is a private rental accommodation in a secluded setting surrounded by nature. Time passes slowly, and every moment quietly lingers in your heart. Enjoy a BBQ while listening to the sounds of nature In the evening, gather around the campfire, roast marshmallows, and enjoy a relaxing time under the starry sky. [House Story] This house was born out of my childhood dream of living in a Nordic home.It all started with my longing for a cozy cabin like the ones in stories and for the tranquility of nature. After living in Sweden and New Zealand, I returned to Japan and, together with my husband, Andy, took over a cabin that was scheduled for demolition just one month later. This house was carefully renovated by my wife and me, one detail at a time, like a work of art. It has been transformed to harmonize with the beautiful natural surroundings of this place, embodying the Nordic philosophy that values connection with nature. 4 km to Lake Biwa (Imazuhama) 1 km to a convenience store (Lawson) Large supermarket (Heiwa-do) is 10 minutes by car It is a 15-minute drive to the Metasequoia tree-lined street
