Located deep in the mountains of Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, in a hamlet of only 38 households, "Tomarigi Yamanohyakusei" is a place that is difficult to describe without visiting it. The Kurisu River flows right beside it. The air smells of cedar and earth. At night, the stars are so bright it's almost embarrassing. People visit here for a variety of reasons. People who come for a break, people who come to create something, people who want to reconnect with someone important to them, and people who just want to be in a place where "nothing is required of them". Everyone ends up staying longer than planned. At an altitude of 650 m, in the mountains where it is cool even in summer. Swim in the Kurisu River and go to the Gujo Odori Festival at night. About the facilities: The entire building is rented out. Two bedrooms, eight futons (for up to 10 people), a full kitchen where you can use local ingredients, and a garden for relaxing mornings and evenings around the campfire. Views of the valley wherever you look. The place called Gujo-Yamato: This part of Gifu is known as the "Village of Ancient and Modern Learning" and is a place of quiet beauty. It is far from tourist destinations, but it is close to something that is difficult to put into words. There is not much mobile signal, but most guests say they don't notice it after a while. Our property is about 7 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot from Takayama Station. Free electric bicycles are available for guests to use. If you cannot ride a bicycle and prefer to walk to sightseeing spots, our location may not be convenient for you. The garden is in front of the entrance and cannot be seen from the bedroom windows. During your stay, the host may enter the garden area to water the plants and vegetables. Thank you for your understanding.
