Cottage holiday rentals in The Villages

My family was looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this lake house was the perfect place for us! The lake views from the living room were spectacular. The house was charming and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more! The peacocks roamed the yard throughout the day and were a pleasant sight to see. The dock was enjoyed by the whole family! We watched beautiful sunsets. My sons used the kayak. We fished for crappie and caught a few! We brought our small fishing boat and cruised around Lake Harris. We made our way to the famous Dora Canal. The boat launch is minutes away from the house. We walked to the delicious bakery a mile away for morning coffee and pastries. The host was so helpful and available to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay at this charming and serene lake house!

We got married here and stayed for 3 days. We spent the happiest day of our lives here and it was amazing. The property is beautiful and Angie was an incredible host. Everyone was complimenting how beautiful our wedding was the entire night. The place was decorated nicely and the hosts provided more than enough for us. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Definitely recommend this place.

2nd visit and just as good as the 1st visit. Very well appointed, with everything needed for a nice visit. Animals on farm are just a bonus for hours of enjoyment.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend for his birthday. It was exactly what we were looking for. Out in the woods, secluded from the everyday hustle and bustle and quiet and literally right on the river. Early morning coffee was a treat with the birds and let’s not forget the alligators! Definitely will come again and again.

Cute small house in convenient location for WEC and HITS. Great kitchen and comfortable living room/bedroom. The neighborhood is definitely developing (didn’t feel incredibly comfortable coming back in the dark), but that is typical for Ocala outside the gated communities. Overall a great stay and listing is on point!

Kristina and Beth, who managed the property, were the kindest and most pleasant hosts. They made us feel right at home and let us wander around the property anytime we liked. The horses, cows, chickens, and especially the dogs, were so much fun. We could interact with them as little or as much as we preferred. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. We had a fabulous time! It was a great peaceful getaway and we can't wait to come back! One of our favorite Airbnb stays ever!

Our 2nd one month stay at this lovely cottage. It's an excellent location on a channel to access Lake Henderson. Perfect for bass fishing. The home is clean and comfortable. It's spacious and was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is organized and well stocked . We enjoyed the patio, particularly the newly installed gazebo which provided shade during sunny days. The view from the patio is relaxing and perfect for sunrises. Home is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It's an easy 3 mile ride down 44 sidewalk to get to the Withlachoochee Bike Trail. Spent many hours fishing. Every Monday we'd make the the 45 minute drive to the Webster Flea Market (excellent stop for produce) then stop for lunch at Big Bass Grill on Lake Panasoffkee. Easy drive to Winn Dixie. Would absoulutely stay again,

Karla's place is very nice. Very clean, the screened in porch was so nice and there are sliding glass doors where you can see the beauty outside. The lake, dock and everything outside were so beautiful. The thing I loved the most is it is so quiet there. We live on a noisy road so this was heaven. We met Karla as we were leaving, and she is so nice. Directions to the cottage were perfect, check in was easy. Very nice place when you have a dog as we were traveling with our Yorkie. You will love Karla's place!

This was our second stay at Hunters place. We are planning on a third.

This is our second stay at Dana’s place. It’s convenient (parking right near the door), peaceful, clean, and well stocked. We enjoy seeing the animals, and our dog likes to hang out on the patio.

I booked this Airbnb for a trip to the springs with my husband + his parents. The place was exactly as described. We loved the outdoor area — was so nice to have dinner at the picnic table + sit around the fire in the evenings. My favorite part was the cats Smokey + Panther! Such sweet creatures! They hung out with us when we were outside. Cozy is the perfect descriptor — clean but well loved + well lived in. Close to Silver Springs + not far from Paynes Prairie/Gainesville, too! I want to bring my parents here next! This place was also at a very good price point when I was looking at places. (:

Our second time staying in Winter Garden at Jill’s cottage and everything linked to it was every bit as good as the previous stay two years ago. Spotlessly clean and very good value for money. Jill was very responsive and even went over and above with decorations for my husband’s special birthday which he celebrated during our stay. Thank you again

Highly recommend the apartment, nice backyard directly at the water. Beautifully renovated bath- and bedrooms. Well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals. Hosts were reachable and very supportive. Perfect for a weekend-escape into the green!

Great place to stay. I loved the attention and effort put into the details. Host responsive, flexible, and friendly. Also, location is perfect for historic downtown activities.

This was a home run. My wife and I needed to get away from the stress of everyday life, suburbia and just see a different landscape. This checked ALL of the boxes and then some. When we talk retirement, this is what we want.

Loved using the Kayaks ! Beautiful area! Visiting family close by , the home had everything we needed to have Thanksgiving!

I enjoyed my stay very much. I would sit down near the water or inside looki g out big front windows in the big comfy chairs and watch whatever was going on. it was very quite. reminded me of when I was younger at our grandparents camp on the water. Ruthann was in contact with me when she was notified that internet went down. checked in to see how my stay was going. check in was very easy. I would stay again. thank you to great hosts. 😊 Suzanne

First, the home is exactly as described in the photos, and when you get there, the house is absolutely more fantastic than we imagined. If you like original and beautiful art, you are in for a treat. The Fisherman's Cottage is filled with incredible pieces of sea-themed art, from metal fish to whales to seahorses to fish themed rubber sandals for guests. You just have to go there to experience the creative spirit that lives in the home. The cottage was immaculate, and Liz and Lee had everything you could possible need, including snacks. They were attentive and excellent communicators. It's a short walk to the quaint, beautiful town of Mt. Dora and a short walk to the lake. It's a must-have experience. All four of us had a great time. It could not have been better! Thank you, from Marylou, Nancy, Karen and Amy!
