Monthly Rentals in Tonka Bay

It was TRANQUIL and I loved that it backs right up to Minnewashta Park that has many trails to hike down to the lake. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we slept well in the quiet solitude. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for little ones to play. The outside propane grill worked well and we BBQed most our meals using it. It is well maintained with clean new carpets. We really appreciated that Sabrina was kind enough to supply some toys and play kitchen for the children. They loved the bunk beds and made forts with the extra blankets. Having a washer/dryer in unit is a big plus when you are staying more than a week, especially with little ones.

Great stay. Everything was as expected. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Cheap price. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and blankets. They had some there but could use more. If you prefer your own stuff it might be nice to bring.

We had a great stay! Mark is a great communicator and checked in regularly during our stay. The place was very nice and the outdoor area was beautiful. Everything was very clean and organized. There were individual soaps and make-up wipes as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (full size). There was a little coffee bar with creamer and hot chocolate. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The living room is very large with plenty of space for the TV area as well as the foosball table and pool table. Their dog Winston will come visit if you want him to and he is a sweetheart.

Our family needed a place to stay as we moved from OH to MN and our home we were building wasn’t quite ready yet. It is a charming cottage decorated very nicely. The kitchen is equipped with what you need. Since we stayed here during the winter, we can only imagine how adorable the outdoor screened in back patio would be in the spring, summer, and fall. We had 3 vehicles with us and the driveway is wide enough to park and move in and out easily. The owners are super responsive and communicated quickly and were very helpful. This is a great place for a trip to Lake Minnetonka, the location was awesome- right down the road from Hazelwood (a fabulous restaurant) and a quick trip to downtown Excelsior. Not to mention the trail is a hop across the street. The cottage is over a hundred years old so the floors are a bit slanted in some areas but not was it cute! All linens and towels are there for you. Our family of four and 2 dogs were comfortable there for our almost 8 weeks there😄
