A charming, authentic house in GDR style. Very centrally located directly on the beautiful Weimarhallenpark and only a 3-minute walk from the city center. It is surrounded by the imposing new Bauhaus Museum, the historic Gauforum and a quiet family residential area. The house itself was bequeathed to us by our GDR-savvy grandmother and, despite some modernizations, is authentically kept in exactly this style. The house is modernly decorated and the garden offers plenty of space to spread out. In the winter months, it is perfect for winter sports in and around Oberhof. In the rest of the year, it is great for hiking, cycling and sightseeing in and around the Thuringian Forest and much more. The sauna and hot tub require preparation. If you want to use them, please let us know after booking. Furthermore, we have a pool that you can use in summer by arrangement.

The apartment is located in the southern quarter of Weimar with a bus stop (10 minutes by car to the center) directly opposite the apartment. A bakery (also open on Saturdays), Edeka supermarket and a pharmacy are within walking distance. The apartment is the starting point for hiking and cycling tours to the Ilm Valley and Belvedere Palace. The city center with its sights, the nearby Goethepark and cafes is within walking distance in addition to the bus.
