Family-friendly holiday rentals in West Vancouver

I can't say enough good things about the Captain's Quarters and Henny as a host. This was our third Easter weekend in a row spent at CQ on Galiano, and we cherished every minute - even adding an extra night to our stay this year. It's an amazing, private spot to relax, embrace the peacefulness, the comforts (hot tub is my personal fave, and the new king sized bed afforded many extra hours of sleep), and the island mentality. Henny is an absolute gem, and was always quick to respond to any requests. Even when the island had a brief, 2-hour power outage, Henny provided us with extra lighting, and the assurance that should the power outage last longer, she would run the generator. Our dog Feivel also finally got on our level, and didn't even bark when Henny came by with complimentary greens and smoked salmon tails! We can't wait to be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Jenny's house. She checked in on us the evening we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and let us use her yard to have an Easter Egg hunt for our kids and our extended family that came to visit us there on Easter Sunday. The area was beautiful and walking distance to the lake and nearby parks and coffee shop.

We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, especially during the cold weather. The room was nice and spacious, we all had an amazing time!

This location was amazing. My family and 3 kids stayed here and had a perfect time exploring the city. Michi was super responsive to any questions we had. Their home was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Highly recommend as a good launching point to explore Vancouver.

We loved our stay at Peter’s home. Having the beach right at your finger tips is amazing! We spent hours digging for sea glass with our kids and swimming in the ocean. The neighbourhood was also great and walkable to lower Gibsons!

This is the perfect place for a baseball weekend in Surrey. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Great neighborhood and location.

We had such a lovely stay at Raquel’s place! Raquel was super responsive and easy to communicate with—she gave us lots of helpful info about the area, and when we ran out of pancake mix, she even brought us a new bag (so thoughtful!). The place itself is really cute and peaceful, with cows nearby and a sweet big black cat we got to meet. It’s in a great location too—right off the main road and just a minute away from a cider place we really enjoyed. The room was spotless and well equipped. We appreciated the selection of teas, the automatic coffee machine, and even dog biscuits—it’s clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome. There were a few harmless ants here and there, but honestly nothing to complain about. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Sharon's place is an absolute gem on Bowen Island! The views are magnificent and the home itself is comfortable, clean, spacious and well-appointed. The location is a short walk to all of Bowen Island's restaurants, shops and art galleries. Sharon is an excellent and communicative host who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests are well taken care of. I highly recommend this home for anybody looking for a relaxing stay on Bowen Island!

Virpi and her husband were amazing hosts. We needed an animal friendly space for our family and cats while relocating to Tsawwassen, and finding their rental was perfect. Everything was as promised in the listing and our cats appreciated having a whole space to themselves instead of being placed in a kennel for the week we needed accommodations. The hosts were very friendly, stopping to chat when they noticed us coming home with our toddler. Overall amazing experience and really appreciate the pet friendly nature of their rental!

Gail was a lovely and responsive host. The AirBnB provided a safe, quiet solace which was what we needed while we were apartment hunting. We really appreciated the space and had everything we needed including a fireplace when it dumped the annual big snowstorm. This was a great restful month for us in what would otherwise have been chaotic. Thank you thank you.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Tabitha’s place! The garden and patio were absolutely beautiful - such a peaceful and welcoming space to spend time in. Tabitha herself was incredibly responsive, kind, and human; from our casual conversations to the thoughtful way everything was set up, it felt like we were staying in someone’s real home rather than just a rental. The kitchen was stocked with care, the listing included tons of helpful tips, and I really appreciated the attention to sustainability throughout the space. We made so many good memories during our week here. If we come back to Vancouver, we’d absolutely stay again. Thank you, Tabitha! 💛

Shan’s place has everything you need. It is very clean, comfortable and convenient.

We had an incredible experience at Ryan’s condo. He was a fantastic host- very communicative, responsive and flexible. He did everything he could to ensure our stay was excellent and offered great suggestions. His place was well located, well laid out and everything we needed for a 3 night stay. I highly recommend this experience and look forward to staying here again.

Everything was exactly as pictured. Had a good stay and the staff was very friendly. Short push to sit in a meeting for timeshares but they were fine with me saying no thanks. Overall good stay.

These two bedroom apartment is right at the center of downtown Vancouver and it’s close to almost everything you wanted to do in downtown area. Department is clean and fully equipped with everything we need. We travel with a newborn and Lesley and Adam provided baby equipment that we need. The apartment complex also has good amenities. Overall, I would say this is the place you want to stay if you want to explore downtown Vancouver.

Myself and a few friends stayed here for the BMO Marathon weekend. Mona's house is in a great location and had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay!

Loved staying at Alex’s place! The building was very safe (I was traveling solo), her apartment was spotless, and the room was comfortable and quiet. I took advantage of the parking space and that was a huge perk. The bathroom has an oversized tub that was wonderful to soak in after a long day at the conference I was visiting for. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great central location and the amenities are superb! Room was exactly as described and check in/out was quick and easy.
