Monthly Rentals in Yunguilla

If you're real bougie then you might not like it, but this is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed (and I travel a lot!). They have done a great job setting it up, and it just keeps getting better and better. Many thoughtful touches all around - nice pillows, hand-made art, smart TV, tons of storage space. We loved the private balcony overlooking the forest, and the direct access to gym and Jacuzzi on the roof. We felt very safe and comfortable. It's close to the city (about 15 min to the center by car), yet far enough away to feel much more peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful. Dario was very responsive and helpful with everything I needed during our 2 month stay. He and his family are wonderful hosts! I would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for everything!

What a beautiful house with a great spacious garden. The house has all the luxury, space and comfort. Wifi is good. House is clean and the beds are comfortable. The garden has a lot of privacy and we feel very safe here. The 2 waterfalls (a 5-minute walk away) are so beautiful and the pool nice/clean and always quiet. The village of Pedro Vincento (an 8-minute drive) is cozy and lots of nice restaurants + shops/supermarket. At 10 minutes drive there are several very nice waterfalls to visit. Max is a great host who is very helpful and always helped us quickly and kindly. He also picked us up from the airport and received us warmly.

How to summarize a review for a place that has the potential to change your life has been a task. To stay with Cheryl and Jon at the Finca Aveterra is to be unplugged yet connected, cared for with generous hospitality, educated and informed of new ways of living; and for us specifically, reminded of who our Creator God is and the life He intended for us to live. It has been difficult to leave and felt like a departure from friends, family and home when we did. Cheryl was beyond gracious, helpful and thorough coordinating our arrival and departure, performing chef duties (unbelievable), connecting us to in-country travel means, greeting us in the middle of the night; Jon was passionately energetic sharing about syntropic agroforestry, touring us through the farm, the valley (!!), and both touring us through the lodge, sharing the fruit of their labor (literally), engaging conversation and generosity.
