Holiday rentals with lake access in Barlavento Algarvio

We stayed at Sarah’ Villa for a family break and immediately felt that we'd found a home away from home. Nothing was missing and you find a lot of attention to details, even offering a surfboard. We especially enjoyed the large pool, evenings on the terrace and the breathtaking nature surrounding the villa. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

Tolles Anwesen, Katzen, Hunde, Pferde, Schweinchen, Pool, Tischtennis … alles da was Groß und Klein begehrt, herrliche Ruhe und doch ist der Strand nicht all zu weit weg, können wir nur empfehlen

Just back from a great week at Casa 38. The place was even better than the pictures and couldnt have asked for much more. The hosts were also really helpful with lots of great, local recommendations. Will definitely be back.

Maison propre et fonctionnelle avec une très belle vue sur les étangs et le golf de QUINTA DO LAGO. Il y ' a vraiment tout à proximité, pas besoin de voiture tout se fait à pied dans cette grande propriété (supérette,médecin,piscine,salle de sport,restaurants,location de vélo,golf,...) et tout ça ouvert 7 jours/7. La grande plage de sable fin est à moins de 3 kilomètres (faire le trajet à pied ne prends que 20 minutes). La région est très belle, je reviendrai au PORTUGAL. Les vacances ici étaient vraiment relaxante.

We enjoyed staying at Jose&Sonia’s apartment very much. It’s located in the centre of an old city, surrounded with coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The apartament itself is very clean, nicely decorated and fulfills all necessary needs and beyond. Jose responds within minutes to any questions and sends lots of recommendations that every tourist is seeing to visit. He is very friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to be your guest, Jose and Sonia!

Shanti's place was just what we needed before heading home. Loved doing the goat walk. The fireplace was amazing on the cool nights. Coffee on the back deck under shelter looking over the hills listening to nature. Really enjoyed talking with the International volunteers who work the farm. Very remote and quiet. A very unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely do again.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Haus von Simon in Aljezur! Wir waren zu sechst und sehr zufrieden. Das Haus entspricht genau den Bildern – eine schöne, ruhige Lage mit viel Platz und allem, was man braucht. Besonders positiv ist die hundefreundliche Ausstattung: Das Grundstück ist komplett umzäunt. Nach einem Stromausfall funktionierte die Heizung kurzzeitig nicht, aber Francisca war unglaublich hilfsbereit und hat das Problem schnell gelöst – vielen Dank nochmal dafür! Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind gut, sowohl auf dem Grundstück als auch direkt davor, aber die Toreinfahrt ist etwas schmal, worauf man achten sollte. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Fantastic little flat walking distance from the old town of Lagos. Very clean and friendly host! Lovely to look onto the harbour and be walking distance from such great places. Would easily return. The flat had everything needed and was bigger than the pictures.

Carla sent detailed instructions for check in which made the process seamless. We loved the space and location, close to walk to downtown but quiet and closer to the beautiful beaches. One of the bathrooms is outside on the porch, but that was fine. My friend left an item behind and Carla was very quick to help ship it on to the next destination which was so appreciated. Would definitely recommend Carla as your host!

Maria and Ana were extremely welcoming and responsive. As someone who visited the area for the first time, it was nice to know they were there if I had questions.

Un très beau logement avec une terrasse qui permet de passer de bons moments autour d'un bon repas. Les commerces et les activités locales sont toutes à proximité...On peut donc tout faire à pied ! Le roof top avec piscine est un vrai plus ;-) Merci pour ce beau séjour

Nur zu empfehlen! Wie beschrieben. Tolle aber ruhige Lage fußläufig zum Dorf mit 2 tollen Lokalen. 10 min zu schönen Stränden. Sehr schöne und gemütliche Räumlichkeiten. 5-10 min zu einem kleinen See. Alles wirklich sehr gelungen und schön; auch für Kinder.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Pedro's. loved how bright & airy it was. Would liked to have stayed a bit longer. It had everything we needed. Eventhough it's very close to the main square & all the shops & restaurants along the way, it still feels very quiet. Will definitely be back. Thank you Pedro.

This apartment has a terrace with a wonderful view of the coast and beach. It is in a quiet area but within walking distance to Old Town. There is a very nice market also within walking distance. The apartment has everything you need for an extended stay.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement. Parfait pour 5 personnes. Il est grand et très bien équipé. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut (pare-vent et parasols compris pour les adeptes de la plage). L’hôte est très réactive et, même si nous avons rencontré un problème d’eau chaude, elle a su y répondre de façon instantanée, et le souci a été résolu en à peine 4 heures. Vous méritez les 5 étoiles, car tout était parfait, et même en cas de problème, vous avez su vous montrer réactive. Un service client de qualité pour un bon rapport qualité / prix. Un grand merci a vous. Bonne continuation

Wunderschönes Haus! Sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet! Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Silves mitten in der Natur. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

To use just one word to describe Jan home: wonderful! If you are looking for a peaceful place, close to nature and away from busy cities then this is your place to stay. It has everything you'll need and perhaps Jan you'll do his best for more if needed. To us, his home was a piece of heaven and it did reminded me of my grandparents place when I was a young and spend the time summer holidays with them. Here you have orange trees and all you have to do is to pick one or two and enjoy them. Oh, I shall not forget Odin (the Cat). He gave us a big welcome in the first day but because we made the mistake not to allow her inside he completly ignored us during the stay. We had the 2nd chance on the last day when he joins us a for a breakfast! :-) Things to mention: you'll need a car (not a low small car but rather a mini SUV perhaps) as it's not close to a bus or train routes. Good Wifi receptions. We will return for sure as there is so much to see around. Thank you Jan for hospitality!

Wir haben eine wundervolle Zeit in Jan’s Unterkunft verbracht. Der Garten mit Naturpool sind mit großer Mühe und Sorgfalt angelegt und bereiten ein einzigartiges Erlebnis in ruhiger Natur. Diese Unterkunft ist hervorragend dafür gedacht, einfach mal ein paar Tage die Seele baumeln zu lassen und das schöne Hinterland der Algarve zu erleben. Vielen Dank!

This was the best house we have stayed in around the Aljezur/Arrifana area. This was our 3rd visit to the area and we stayed at Marta’s on a friends recommendation. There are even peekaboo views of the ocean. The house is non-corporate in every good way. There is an ancient piano in the living room - and it was correctly tuned! There is local art and the furniture is not just ikea cheap stuff. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The area is great - kind of in between two different beaches. You can drive 3 minutes to a bunch of restaurants or walk 10 minutes to a few others at the roundabout. We did a run in the morning and there’s even a lake about 5 minutes away. All very peaceful, no traffic. We would happily stay here again.

I've stayed at Anabela's a few years back and loved it that I came back this year. Anabela is lovely and she has uograded her place in the kast years with apool area. I love the remote Location and the mood around her place, Its is cosy with many places to hang out in hammocks. You can BBQ, there is even a Pizza oven. I can only highly recommend this charming house.

Casa Gaisma was paradise in the mountains, located in between fruit trees with only sound of birds and the dogs in the valley communicating with each other. Gaisma and Jörg are really friendly and helped with everything we needed. The two dogs living next door were like a family to us, always coming over when we got home after the daytrips and there in the morning to say good morning and seeing if we were having something good for breakfast that they could get a taste of 😍 The surrounding is filled with fruit trees that we could picked off and enjoyed. The bed is comfy and we asked for a fan to get a little bit better air in the bedroom over the nighttime. We always had geckos and frogs in the outdoor space - the frog even jumped in my hand 🤩 and one night we had the adventure to have a visit from a scorpion (wich Gaisma helped us with because we are not used to them). It is just a short drive to visit the beautiful beaches all around and the small towns in the mountains. Loved it

Hard not to fall in love with this place. Everything one could dream of. It’s a very relaxed environment with two very cool humans, whom which have built a little town of their own if you don’t say! We were lucky enough to have a little tour of the place, hear about how it all started. Went horseback riding with Chris which was incredo. Swam in the pond, sat in the sauna but mostly just enjoyed the view. And hung out with the doggos. Thank you. Will definitely come again when I return to Portugal.
