#Depot - Grassy Creek Cabooses

KayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is the second time that we have stayed with Donnie. The first time was in one of the cabooses. This time we stayed in The Depot. Both of these places were as described and pictured! I had good enough phone service that we did not miss having WiFi and there was cable for television. I had two children with me, an eight year old and a twelve year old, and they were both fine there! And we could look out the front door and see Buffalo Mountain. Because of Hurricane Helene damage, we did not get to go there but it was not for lack of trying! Sunday morning before we left, I got to see a deer in the pasture behind the depot! And some beautiful sunrises!

#042 - Grassy Creek Cabooses

MistyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

The Hocking Hills Caboose

NicoleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Clean! Smelled great too. Geat distance (within 10min) to hiking (Ash Cave) in one direction and then a pizzeria with all kinds of drinks and snacks in the other. On a fairly traveled road in front, but also a great small space to explore right behind and firepit. Well kept! It was great for our young family. Very fun.

Stay in a 1926 Train Caboose w/ Upscale Amenities

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the absolute BEST time (even with the rain)! The Caboose was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed (and more) and the location was extremely accessible to everything from hiking to grocery stores and activities. I appreciated all of the little elements that were left--snacks and umbrellas and tips--It was the perfect amount of space for what we needed and even with the weather we spent so much time on the porch playing games and just relaxing. Would love to come back.

Apple Ridge Farm Caboose Bed & Breakfast - #1

HannaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We were looking for a quiet place to relax and disconnect for the weekend and this was absolutely it! It rained most of our trip but listening to the rain from in the caboose and watching the entire inside light up from lightening was amazing. The caboose was very clean, and intentionally prepared for us. It was well put together with the special touch of some champagne glasses, a flower vase with a heart in it for our anniversary which I shared with them prior to our arrival. They also had dog treats laid out for our dog. They were very communicative about the possibility of other dogs being on the property as well. The property was also very well maintained, and the maps laid out the hiking trails, many of them leaving right from the cabooses. Although I would not arrive at night as driving to the cabooses in the dark was difficult.

Chessie Rails - Caboose w/HotTuB

ColicusRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
There are rare moments when human creativity, care, and brilliance converge so seamlessly that words feel inadequate — this stay was one of those moments. From the first turn onto the gravel drive, flanked by endless green pastures and grazing cattle, every detail felt like stepping into a living work of art. The etched stone signage, the winding wooded path, and finally, the majestic Caboose—restored and repurposed with stunning craftsmanship—captured our imagination instantly. Traditional lantern lighting accented its charm, standing proudly against the landscape. Inside, the thoughtful design overwhelmed us: a beautiful scent, a lofted retreat, exquisite bathroom, outdoor and indoor showers, digital art feature, and luxurious king-sized bed. Every label, every touch from the homemade bread to the curated local guide spoke volumes of the heart behind this place. Though 40 minutes from our family, it was beyond worth it. A stay here is not just lodging—it’s an Unforgettable memory!

Foothills Caboose - NC wineries! 5 mins to TIEC

AdamRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This little place went way above our expectations! We had never stayed in a place quite like this, and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It’s easy to get to, private, so cozy and near everything! And there is a deck that is perfect as it overlooks the woods and is ideal for an evening glass of wine. We went down to see our daughter ride at the Tryon Equestrian Center for the IHSA Nationals (humble brag) and it is only five minutes away. Perfect! Could not ask for a better location. The place was clean, instructions were clear and we just had a great time! Great memories, and we can’t wait to tell our friends about it! Thank you!

Chessie System Yellow Train Caboose &amazing view

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Bryan's place isn't just a "place," it's an experience, and an amazing one! The careful and meticulous rehabilitation of a piece of railroad history into one of the coziest and easily the most memorable Airbnbs we have ever stayed at was apparent in every detail. The proximity to Marietta is perfect, being an easy, short drive away, with Bryan's property being very private and peaceful. For anyone driving an EV, there is a 220v NEMA 14 plug on-site that worked perfectly with the standard GM dual-level charger. Truly an amazing time Bryan, thank you so much, and we'll have to back soon to try out the blue caboose!

Warm n Cozy B&O Blue Train caboose with great view

DeepakRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Bryan has a gem of a place, the careful attention to detail on creating an authentic caboose experience is only exceeded by the passion with which Bryan shared the story behind embarking on this project. The surroundings, the sunrise over the river, the peace and quiet, it is transformative - A must have experience..! We will come back.

Stay in a Caboose! | HOT TUB | Close to Asheville

JordanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We stayed for a few days to go hiking around the area and it was perfect. Super close to good restaurants and just a short drive to good hikes. The back yard made our stay so enjoyable and everything was in amazing condition in the train! Pete was an amazing host and we ran into no issues.

The Caboose + Hot Tub I Fire Pit

KathrynRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The owner was very responsive. The Caboose had everything we needed for a quick stay (including ice cubes that were already made, and a Brita that was already filled!). It was really clean and looked exactly like the pictures. I have never stayed in an Airbnb that felt so ready for guests. The whole experience was great and I would definitely stay again!

Great location! Once we arrived we never got back in our car until it was time to leave. We walked everywhere! The caboose was cute, clean, and well-laid out for a simple weekend retreat. Loved the outdoor fireplace in the yard and table/chairs on the deck. We used both every day of our trip!
