Farmstay holiday rentals in Cape Fear River

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! This was my first Airbnb experience, and it couldn’t have been better. We were in town for a working dog seminar, and traveling with a working/active dog can be challenging, as hotels are often surrounded by traffic and businesses. This place was absolutely perfect for us—just the right size for two adults and our large dog. The highlight of our stay was the host’s incredible hospitality. They not only allowed us to use one of their horse pastures to exercise our dog but also completely understood why it was so important for him to run. That level of understanding made all the difference, and we truly appreciated it. When we were not using the pasture we kept him on a leash as required and that was communicated ahead of time. We also loved meeting and feeding the horses on the property, which made our stay even more special. The peaceful setting, combined with thoughtful accommodations, made this first Airbnb experience an unforgettable one.

Mary Betty was so friendly , gracious and just a joy !!! We Felt right at home from the moment we arrived … The house is beautiful from top to bottom. If you are an antique/ history lover there is plenty for the eye to see and more information to be learned at this B&B We can’t say enough about Ms Mary and her home. The breakfast she prepared was quite delicious as well This place is a 10 out of 10 !!!!!

We had a great stay for my husband’s birthday. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and the farm is lovely. I also can’t speak highly enough about the breakfast option. You’ll love it!

I would recommend Tanglewood Farms for a nice horse/chicken experience. It is a good place to use as a 'base camp' while exploring the Southern Pines area. Comfortable in every way(cooking in the kitchen is slightly limited, though). I managed...😊.

This was a great hidden gem and the host always made sure to accommodate. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

Amazing stay - we loved feeding the sheep and lambs in the morning. Very comfortable, incredibly peaceful atmosphere. Ms. Lucy was kind enough to show us around the property and introduce us to all the animals. My girls are 3 and 5 and this stay was a core memory. We loved meeting the Great Pyrenees, peacocks, chicks and more!

The place has personal touch to it. There is an authentic style in every detail. When we got to the house, it was already warmed up for us. Fully furnished coffee station. There was a lot of space in the backyard for our dog to run around. Overall, I was very impressed, photos don't give the full credit for what you get. Plenty of room for a pet and kids in the house. So far, my favorite Air BnB place by far.

Amber's place is dream. The hot tub and space were charming and comfortable. waking up to all the animals helped start my day off the right way and was a complete mood booster. it was very clean and the hot tub is to die for. I would love to stay here again

We arrived and met owner right away. Was so glad. He help us understand how things worked from lighting to music. Friendly and Awesome people. This Airbnb was different than others we have chosen in the past. Being a camper was new to us. I have rent camped. We Loved it. Found it to be very upset to date and clean. My family and I stayed for my daughter's wedding. The house was perfect for my elderly family members and plenty of room! It was so relaxing and peaceful! We loved all the animals! Awesome place for family time and fellowship! Wished we could have stayed longer! 🥰

This was such a beautiful stay. Serene, peaceful and so wonderful to share with family. We were greeted by horses in the evening and morning. And we’re able to host my bridal shower with all my loved ones. It was magical and the sweetest setting for this time. Peter was a wonderful host and I could not recommend this stay more.

Great stay with our kids. We especially loved Lucky the goat. He became one of our family by the end of our stay.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Triple F Farm! We stayed here for a long weekend and wished the time would never end. The home is absolutely gorgeous, with incredibly comfortable beds and a setting that’s peaceful, relaxing, and truly unique. We spent our days soaking in the beauty of the home, the stunning scenery, and the charming animals. For an hour or so, we enjoyed the company of our hosts, who were gracious enough to let us help feed the animals and explore their farm. Our nights were spent by the fires, enjoying great conversation and each other’s company. Needless to say, we immediately booked another stay! Triple F Farm is the perfect place to escape — rustic and charming, yet elegant and luxurious. With every little detail planned out perfectly - Debbie and Kenny truly know how to provide the ultimate Airbnb experience!

I enjoyed staying here Nate and Leah were so hospital, accommodating & sweet our stay felt like we were sort of family. They have the cutest chicken/hen coop that make the cutest little eggs and super fresh I might add. The property is beautiful and so very peaceful.

The Hanna Farm House was peaceful and quiet. It provided us with a great place to rest up for the Gator Cup. Steve and Mona were great at communicating through the app and we got to meet Steve as he was riding by. He checked to make sure everything was good and we were happy. Very friendly folks!

Melinda‘s place had everything I needed, plus a few extras. These hosts are so friendly and welcoming, from comfortable beds and couches, a well equipped kitchen, to even providing a box of fresh donuts, and a bottle of wine! Great communicators, too. I loved how close we were to the beach. You can see the dunes from the end of the driveway and it just takes a couple of minutes to walk there. It was so close I walked barefoot so I didn’t have to deal with leaving my shoes in the sand. It is a beautiful beach and the pier is very close. We were walking distance from a cute little breakfast place and several restaurants that suited us perfectly.

This place was great! Beautiful location, very clean, and the host was fast to respond.

We stay here twice a year for a week at a time, and this is our third year. Always a pleasure to stay here with our two dogs. Tile floors and throw rugs, great with dogs! Nice fenced in back yard and away from town. We enjoy staying here and visiting our family. Lorraine and Mike are the best hosts, and always happy to see them. I very much recommend the Hermitage.

This location is peaceful while also within 10 minutes of anything you may need or want to do. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Animals were friendly, overall an amazing place to stay where we could relax without any interruptions or noise. We look forward to returning, our entire family (including teenagers) want to go back.
