Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Capital District, New York

My spouse and I stayed at Vicki’s house over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were clean and beautifully decorated. Vicki responded to all questions promptly and was an all around accommodating host. I’d happily stay here again!

Great location and well run and put together. Staying again and will do so in the future. Highly recommend.

My husband and 2 year old stayed at Ellen’s barn for the weekend. The space was very big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the area, we didn’t spend much time in the barn as we spent much of our day exploring. Would highly recommend Ellen’s place!

We always love to stay with Ilja in his beautiful home. Ilja goes above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as if you are home and this is appreciated. There was even a welcome note for us. Everything you need is available and there is a well stocked coffee and tea area

This is a gorgeous home and Elizabeth was such a fantastic host. The house was perfect for our ski trip with another family and this place has everything you need. The views are amazing, the location is fabulous, and the rooms and bathrooms are well-designed and comfortable. We loved sitting in the hot tub watching the snow fall. We would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Dalija was an incredible host. she was there to greet me right at check in and gave me the run down of the airbnb room and the surrounding area. she was very responsive and her place was very homely and accommodated all my needs perfectly. if Im ever in the area again I would definitely rent one of her rooms!

Flerida and Michael were extremely warm and gracious hosts from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out. My fiancé and I were in town for an event nearby and this was a wonderful place for us to stay and enjoy the comfort of a big room with a comfortable bed, as well as a DELICIOUS breakfast in the morning! The hosts were always there to welcome us when we came "home" or left the house for the day/night, and offered us recommendations in town. They made us feel very much at home in their home, with a warm fire always lit and an easy "come and go as you please" policy. We are very thankful to have stayed with such kind and accommodating hosts for the weekend, and are still full from the breakfasts they made us each day!

The Inn at Pine Plains hosted by Patricia was great for our long weekend stay (couple with son & dog), the room was cosy and exceptionally clean and tidy. The location is close to walking trails, a beautiful drive to the Catskills and nearby to restaurants. It had a lovely dining space and had everything we needed should we have stayed longer. There is a large lawn backyard that our son and dog loved running around in each morning.

Anita is a stellar host! The rooms and food were both great!

It doesn't get better than this! I felt like I had been transported in time --to my grandmother's house and the old Catskills resorts simultaneously. A warm fire in the wood stove greeted us, and was one example of many which made our stay so comfortable and welcoming. This will stand out as my family's favorite place to stay.

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

This place was even cuter in person. I loved it. Very cozy, clean, nicely decorated. It’s part of a beautiful little inn and cottages with a peaceful vibe, walking distance from a nice place to swim. I can’t wait to come back.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house is historic, beautiful, and impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious, with French press coffee and steeped tea that we loved. Missy the dog is a joy to be around and kept our dog entertained in the massive outdoor space. We truly felt at home, and the place felt very private. There’s so much to do in the area—great hikes, antique stores, and plenty of restaurants to explore. All in all, it was a very relaxing weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We’d love to come back!

Could not have asked for a better Airbnb experience! Donna made us feel right at home. Her place was like a mini historical step back in time/art museum. My friends abs I enjoyed the local hiking trails recommendations since our plans to ski fell through with the warmth warm up. We also had the most deliciously prepared home cook meals that was an absolute treat to drive back after a day of hiking to comfort but healthy food that we choose from her wide variety menu selection. From vegetarian to the meat lovers. The breakfast in the morning was A+ as it was a surprise each morning with something different. Thank you again and I am sure we will be back.

Kathleen was a pleasure to work with and spend time with. We were there in “off season” and we enjoyed having her spend time with us at breakfasts. They were doing some upgrades to the house but it did not affect our stay at all. It will be really nice when it is completed soon.

Marikate and her husband were fantastic hosts - we felt welcome and taken care of the moment we arrived. The accommodations are as described…the environment is tranquil and relaxed. The house is very close to Saratoga Springs’ main drag where there are lots of restaurants and shopping to explore. Strongly recommend!

Our stay with Priscilla in the farmhouse was wonderful. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a big bed and several very comfy chairs. Priscilla greeted us in a very friendly manner and showed us all around and gave us recommendations for dinner. She was available to us for whatever we needed. We had two incredible breakfasts during our stay. Her avocado toast, which she was trying for the first time, was the best that I have had! On day number two we had delicious chicken sausage and blueberry pancakes, along with fresh fruit and orange juice and coffee. Once again, delicious. I grew up in a rural area so staying at this farmhouse on a rural road brought back many memories for me. The peace and the quiet was incredible….. And yet… You don’t have to go far to get to major roads or delicious food. On our last night, we went to Stacy‘s Scratch Kitchen in Broad Albin. Don’t miss this one! We gave it an 11 out of 10. 😊 Thank you, Priscilla, for everything!

Catalpa House is exactly what you want in a small town retreat; comfortable bedding, well chosen amenities, superb breakfast, accommodating but not intrusive hosts, lovely common areas with local literature and current periodicals. It doesn't get better.

We had a lovely stay here. As soon as we walked in we were overjoyed with the accommodations. Very spacious, warm, and inviting. My son was so excited he couldn’t get over it. The fireplace was a huge plus! Robert was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone looking to visit Lake George. We would definitely stay here again.

Ellen and Ed are ab fab hosts! And Ellen’s breakfasts are 5 star quality. I’m a tea drinker and Ellen had the exact brand that I drink…totally coincidental! Amenities in the room were top quality and 5 star hotel worthy! Ed even helped me do snow removal from my car and then drove me down the street to my destination!! A comfortable and convenient spot in a more remote area where quality like this is hard to find!

My wife and I stayed here with my brother and his wife. Ellen and Ed were super responsive to our messages and flexible with check in times. They live on the property, but have a private wing in the house which allowed plenty of privacy for us. The house is very homey and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was made hot and fresh, with unique and healthy options, that were delicious. Our group tried everything offered and thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll be recommending this place to family and friends in the future!
