The house is spacious (145sqm) and quiet, with views from every window, and is flooded with natural light. Exposed brick walls show the history of the cottage that used to be stables in the 1700’s and formed part of the original Hope Of Constantia farm. The cottage is serviced weekly with a full clean and change of linen. The garden is also serviced weekly, unless otherwise requested. Access all areas in the cottage including kitchen, living room, study, bedrooms, a private garden, as well as full access to the surrounding farm. There is also a secure garage for parking your car and the house is fully-alarmed. This cottage is situated in a gated private lane with four other homes where the other residents value their peace and tranquility. You are welcome to explore the surrounding area but please respect the residents' privacy. The owners of the cottage live just 100m away with their dog Rafiki. We provide coffee and tea for our guests, as well as a simple breakfast for your first morning at the cottage. Groceries can be purchased in advance of your arrival at an additional fee. The cottage is an open plan lounge,bedroom with two big verandas, a kitchenette and a large bathroom with a shower and bath that opens out to a very private balcony with sun loungers and an outside shower. With magnificent views of the mountain and terrains, one can fully unwind and relax in this more than spacious cottage. This private cottage will be all yours during your stay. There are multiple lounging areas inside and outside the cottage. Our long serving housekeeper, Maks, will be there to look after you and make sure you always have what you need.She cleans and does the washing daily except on a Sunday. Located within walking distance to many stunning hikes, walking routes, mountain biking, and cycling routes. There are many places nearby that you can rent bikes and there is ample storage at the house for bikes to be stored. There is ample and secure parking on our property for the vehicle you bring along for your stay. I am usually here and am very happy to help with advice at all times. We have an inverter that covers the security system and cameras + the WIFI, TV, stove and oven and all the lights and most of the plugs during load shedding. The little Guinea fowl Cottage is part of a high security villa located in the select Upper Constantia area. Set at the foot of the densely forested eastern slopes of Table Mountain, the property is half surrounded by the Green Belt, opposite to Cecelia Forest and less than 2km away from the world famous Kirstenbosch Garden.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.
