Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Costa Occidental

Our family (my husband, two daughters, and I) had the most wonderful time at this beautiful countryside Airbnb! The property is set in a peaceful, scenic location, surrounded by nature and endless charm. We enjoyed sitting in the garden just listening to nature. One of the highlights for us was being able to pick fresh oranges right from the trees — making our own juice each morning was such a special experience that our girls will never forget. We loved walking/running the paths nearby. Our host was available if we needed anything and gave us good recommendations for restaurants and activites. This was one of the most relaxing and memorable family trips we’ve had.

We couldn't fault it!! Beautiful decor, characterful with modern elements. Gorgeous surroundings, a really special spot. spotlessly clean with great amenities. This place is really worth the price and José is a great communicator and host. looking forward to our next stay already!

Really nice little house with pool! Great with children and very calm area. Be aware that you drive ~25 minutes to the beach from Furnazinhas.

David and Megan's spacious townhouse was in a perfect spot to be near everything, but not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. They offered some nice extras that don't seem to be part of the AirBnB experience anymore, like milk, juice and coffee to start off your vacation. David even picked us up at the train station and drove us to the townhouse. We were impressed with their quick response when we had a question. Although we didn't take advantage of the service, they offered to be of assistance with providing ideas for excursions and things to do in the area.

We (two people) had booked Maria's house for a week. The house has everything you need: on the ground floor was the kitchen and a small storeroom with a washing machine. Also on the ground floor was the living and dining area, a toilet and access to the terrace. On the first floor were two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. On the top floor there was another bedroom with a bathroom and access to the roof terrace. Outside there was a large pool with plenty of seating and sunbathing areas, a parasol and a barbecue. Each room had air conditioning (to cool or heat the rooms). The House is about a 30 minute drive from Faro. There is a supermarket in the next village. The area is quiet and idyllic. You have a lot of privacy in the House.

Sians communication from booking to our departure was great. Informative and concise. We recommend using the map coordinates given, as Google maps tells you you have arrived, but the property is actually a little further down the road. Upon entering the property, you see it is spotlessly clean and a tardis! Very well furnished. There is comfortable seating, both out front and to the rear of the property to catch the sun..and we did. We had booked a few days at Quinta Rosa, but circumstances caused us to only stay overnight, however that one night was lovely and it was a shame we hadn't had the entire stay there. For information, nowhere is of any great distance away from the property. Quinta Rosa makes a great base for the area. Almancil, (lovely church), Faro, (all of it) are nearby. Loule being the closest, with restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets and a wonderful market. All in all a lovely Airbnb property.

This is a lovely property with great views. Derek & Inge are the perfect hosts. They were friendly and very helpful. Amenities - the attention to detail was above what we expected.

The house of José e Cátia is very cozy and still has 2 wonderful terraces!! Communication with José was excellent. He received us with great joy. We were close to everything, the festival, the beach, the restaurants, the groceries… I loved spending these days at Fuseta and playing at the festival. Thank you!! And I hope come back to your home at Fuseta!

In our travels through Portugal, this was absolutely the best place we stayed. Marcio’s place is very spacious, very clean, and has the feeling of being in a real home. There is a large outdoor patio where we enjoyed hanging out. And even though we were in a central location, the apartment was peaceful and quiet. Marcio was very easy to communicate with, and even when we locked ourselves out of the apartment, he was extremely kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was fabulous!!

We had a very nice week as a family of three in Casa Regina, Apartment 2. We were able to sit comfortably on the large terrace. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. We were able to use the pool and garden nicely. Washing machine great. Andrew and his mother Lurdes were very responsive and communicative. In case of problems with the shower, they responded quickly and there were cookies and wine as a small compensation. When booking, Andrew also points out that it is a quiet residential unit. It is actually important to consider this, as the apartments are quite close to each other. Apartment 3 adjoins the large bedroom and, depending on the neighbors, it can also be a bit noisy. You can also always hear the street, but at night it is relatively quiet and also at the pool it is idyllic. It should also be mentioned that the entrance from apartment 1 leads to the terrace of apartment 2. We had very nice neighbors, so it wasn't disturbing for us.

Superb apartment that exceeded our expectations. As a regular visitor to VDL we would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Great villa. Private, enclosed pool area and garden, yet only meters away from all the amenities and a short walk into the market town. Loulé is the perfect base for exploring the Algarve and its amazing coastline without having to endure the hustle and bustle of the bigger coastal towns. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend staying at Villa Lizete. A big thank you to Miguel and Jose for being fantastic hosts.

The house is very well located, close to the marginal and the boats, but in a very quiet place. The house was quite clean and with all the amenities..

We had 4 great days at Casa Nanna. The house/apartment is in a super location. In the middle of the very nice town of Tariva with many cozy restaurants. The apartment looks good, very cozy. Everything you need for a nice stay is present. When you sit at the dining table, you can look through the romantic window/balcony on the "main street". The weather was not really great when we were there so we couldn't sit on the (small) balcony. It did make wonderful use of the wood stove. Reading booklet on the sofa with the wood stove on :) Diagonally in front of the apartment is a (Portuguese) bakery. Where you can get delicious fresh bread - open every day! Within walking distance is the port where the ferry leaves to Tavira Island. For a few euros, you'll be on Tavira Island within fifteen minutes. Really nice to do. Beautifully elongated beach with a number of restaurants. And also sunbeds on the beach. In short, Casa Nanna is highly recommended!!

We had a very nice stay in Altura. The house was spacious and appropriately furnished. For the children, the pool was the highlight. Karine always responded to us very quickly and kindly. After a storm shreds a parasol, there was a replacement right away.

We've just returned from a fantastic stay at Villa Verde. It had everything we needed and was much bigger than the photographs suggest. It worked perfectly for us to visit family up the road and the pool was an added bonus. The villa was spotless and Phil always got back to me within minutes if I needed any help. Thank you!

What an amazing villa. We were blown away. There were 10 adults and two young children in our group and the space was perfect. Loads of room for everyone and ideal communal spaces for meals, relaxing and playing games. Marie Diane and Tim were responsive, helpful and patient. We are already planning to come back!

José and Catiá were very welcoming and available for our stay at 12 in their house, especially to quickly remedy small problems (a problem with opening the door for example). they were also accommodating on our arrival time and we thank them very much. Their accommodation is beautiful, very functional and very very well maintained, it is very pleasant to stay in. The only negative point that does not depend on our hosts is the many construction works in the neighborhood that cause some morning noise disturbances but otherwise everything was great! Thanks!

Really nice place to stay at. Corresponding to description. Quiet place, with beautiful views. The house is well equipped and the hosts are very nice and attentive people to offer good service and answer any needs or questions from guests.

We stayed at Carmen’s house with our grandchildren and there are so many things for them to do. It’s really set up great for families. Everything we needed in the kitchen, town markets are walkable. We had a fantastic time!

This house was perfect for our holiday. It is very clean and well equipped and it is also within walking distance of Tavira town, so we could go out for dinner and have a few drinks without worrying about taxis or Ubers. It is facing the pool, and we enjoyed setting just outside the house on the deckchairs most days. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!

Very good house. Beautiful garden and good bedrooms. The only problem is the fact that the hot water only lasts for 3 persons… and the house fits for 9… it’s difficult for the showers.
