Cozy up to the woodburning stove in our airy great room where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Cacapon River Valley. Enjoy sweeping vistas of the valley and mountains from three decks. Watch the sunrise over distant peaks, then unwind beneath dazzling night skies. Just 2 hours from DC.

Oldtown Schoolhouse. C&O Canal Lock 70.

The space is an open concept classroom inside of an old school 500 yards from the C&0 Canal Lock 70. Guests of Lock 70 Schoolhouse enjoy the entire space of this open concept which includes 1 King Bed, 2 Bunk Beds, and a fully stocked coffee bar area with a microwave, water cooler and refrigerator and internet. A private bathroom with a hot shower awaits after your long day on the trail. Also housed in the school is a restaurant and a small store (owned by a separate party, closed on Mondays.)

Nestled on 2 acres in the woods of West Virginia, kick back and relax in this quiet, chic cabin. Soak in the oversized copper tub, read on the porch swing, or cuddle by the electric fireplace. All the amenities of home, but away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Only 25 minutes to quaint Old Town Winchester, where there are unique shops, breweries, restaurants and history! The cabin is located 20 minutes from a variety of scenic hiking trails that provide opportunities for adventure.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

Nestled in the woods overlooking a community pond, enjoy the views through floor to ceiling windows or relax outside on one of the two large decks. The home includes a gas grill available for use and fire pit with wood provided. Best suited for two guests, it can accommodate up to 4 with use of the futon in the loft. Located just minutes away from the Potomac River and numerous recreational areas!
