“We were looking for a short family getaway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Everything was just as described. Everett and Marlene made us all feel welcome and comfortable, and the kids loved playing with the animals and hiking around the property. It was close enough to the beach and outlet shopping for day trips, and the property was perfect for playing and relaxing as a family the rest of the time. Excellent value and local touches. We would love to return for another long weekend!”

“We had a great experience staying with Donald! We were doing a weekend at the beach, and this place was an easy hour from Rehoboth. Donald was very friendly and welcoming, and let us make tacos in his kitchen. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable! And the place was very clean. Overall o would definitely recommend this place!”

“Tara's place in Bowers Beach was close enough to Dover AFB to be incredibly convenient, yet very, very peaceful and quiet. My parents were very pleased with my Mom actually commenting on arrival that she thought it might be more space than we needed. We made use of the well stocked kitchen, played a game we purchased at a local thrift shop and had a blast. Tara has games, cards, magazines and you can even find a book to keep at the neighborhood library kiosk on Main St. The town and wharf are fun to explore. JP's on the Wharf was a nice place for dinner and drinks and we graciously served just twenty or so minutes before closing. They would have been closed the following day (Monday). Weekends in summer, you can visit the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum and if it's closed, Tara has a booklet about the area in the binder if you're interested. Tara's place has a rooftop deck for a couple or small family, plenty of sleeping space and lots of hospitality. It would be nice if everyone who used platforms like Airbnb or Turo, treated things as if they were their own, but I digress. I highly recommend Tara's place.”
