Free on a hillside on a mountain stream in direct proximity to the Thoma ski lifts and the legendary eagle ski jumping. The mountain landscape around Hinterzarten is characterised by dense forests , wide meadows, clear mountain lakes and a mysterious moor with hiking trails and a golf course . In the winter, a cross-country ski network with floodlight runs and a nature ice rink.

Schwarzwaldhaus Schönbühl, in addition to its ideal location, with views over the climatic spa town of Todtmoos and the pilgrimage church, offers a unique feel-good atmosphere. Originally built as a sanatorium, it was run as a pension for decades. For almost 100 years, people have felt comfortable here, spent their holidays here and recovered. The attic loft apartment (built in 2018) is located in a farmhouse with horses and is ideal for guests (individual or a couple) looking for peace and relaxation who only want to cater for themselves to a limited extent (breakfast). The cooking facilities on the brand new wood-burning stove are limited due to the sloping roof. There is a small electric hotplate. Dishes, coffee maker (Nespresso capsules) and kettle are provided.
