Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hydra

The view is incredible to the island of Poros, the two terraces allow you to enjoy the best view of Poros, the house is located in the upper part of Galatas, a very quiet area and without neighbors nearby. Maria is an exceptional person, she has the house with all kinds of details, she is always ready to help, she recommended beaches, tourist spots, restaurants. Everything about the house is magical. We loved the old architecture, the location, proximity to swimming, everything. You need to know that it's quite an upward journey from the port, so be ready to climb about 300 steps in total to get to the house. The good thing is that there are mules available to take your bags and you can take your time on the cute walk up. There is a nice mini supermarket about 8 minutes walking from the house, excellent restaurants and swimming only 5 minutes away. The views are breathtaking. We absolutely loved it and area already excited about coming back next year!

A beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walking to the Port and all the beaches. Enjoyed all the outdoor spaces . Tom and Vittoria were easy to communicate with and available to make arrangements for the donkeys etc.

Very nice accommodation with enough space and short distance to the harbor. All cafes and restaurants are very easy to walk to!

Perfect location, Perfect host

We had a wonderful time! The host was wonderful, kind and very responsive. Check in went very smoothly, we came with our three children who enjoyed the place so much. The location is just great! Anna's apartment is very nice, spacious and well equipped and the view from the living room is stunning. We were hosted very well by her mother who gave us good recommendations and indicated the nearby beaches. Ermioni is a nice little town, not too populated, where we found everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location for visiting the Peloponnese is ideal. Thanks to Anna and Simona for this stay!

A hidden gem right by the sea. The property of Georgios is very unique and beautiful, The old olive trees in the big garden are very special. The terrace was amazing to just sit on and watch the Ocean. The close by beach and Tavern make it perfect! We loved this place to start off our Greece Vacation. Georgios is also very nice and easy in contact- we arrived very late, no problem for him. Thank you!

Christos’s place was perfect for us. A spacious apartment with full amenities. Very cosy and beautiful. Comfortable bed in big bedroom. Right on the port, no need to hike up the hill. 1-2 minute walk from most restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. The host was very responsive, helpful, kind and generous. Our ferry out from Hydra was rescheduled and they let us checkout later with no problem. The view from the apartment is even better than the photos. The people of Hydra are very welcoming. There are beautiful places to walk around the island with breathtaking views. We couldn’t have hoped for a better place to stay for our vacation. Will definitely be back.

Cathrine is the kindest and kindest host I've ever met and I love her! Although the language doesn't work (I don't speak Greek and English), she still enthusiastically entertained me, we talked a lot with the translation app, and we really appreciated the fresh lemonade, eggs, and dessert she sent. It makes me feel warm at home, thank you! The house was also absolutely fantastic and had a beautiful view which made me feel relaxed. You can walk to the supermarket and the town, there are nice restaurants and I enjoyed this trip, maybe I will come here again in the fall with my family!

We stayed for 2 weeks at Konstantina’s place and had a wonderful time! The apartment is comfortable, clean, well equipped and from the balcony there’s a beautiful view over the area and Spetses! Porto Heli and Kosta are close and easy to reach by car as well as the various beaches in the proximity. The host is very friendly and responsive! A great place!

Niki's house was a beautiful slice of greek life. The apartment is the upper story of a house within a group of other houses with a beautiful balcony on two sides. The balcony is sun drenched and shady with enough room for lots of seating, laundry, beautiful view into the olive and orange orchard, neighboring roofs, nearby islands, and a view over the Saronic gulf that includes the slight glow of Athens on the far distant horizon when the stars come out. Niki welcomed us and showed us the entire house, answering all our questions. Niki's mother gave us Greek cake and, later in the week, pomegranates. There is plenty of space inside with a large area for sitting and relaxing, dining, cooking, and sleeping. Couches were comfortable. Table was spacious. Views were amazing. We visited Epidaurus, Nafplion, Mykines (Mycaneana) all within an hour drive. House is up the road from the main village (not the steep hill) and the drive is marked with a small sign. We had an amazing time at this very spacial Villa. The spectacular landscape, the most beautiful beach, the romantic house with its roses and arches as the house's architectonic signature. The house is spacious and beautiful with handmade wooden carpentry. The artist is Michalis who takes care of the house and his wonderful daughter, Eleni who welcomed us most beautifully.

Stunning views in a new, spotless, beautifully decorated and well organized house. Looked better than the pictures! Danai was super helpful and responsive and we had the best time!

George is the most kind and thoughtful host you can hope for. My friends and family stayed at his very comfortable and well situated home in Hydra for a week. He is a most hospitable host who provides great local insight as to where to dine and where to swim and everything in between. He even went out of his way to source (and expertly pack) prized honey produced on the island for my family to take home (a particular feat as honey production quite low this year!) The house itself is on a serene street, next to one of the best restaurants in town. A short walk to the port and no steps climb. Highly recommend ! We all look forward to our return stay.

Amazing place - Kevin was an exceptional host

Athanasia was the most thoughtful host we have ever had! From meeting us at the port and arranging for our baggage to to be taken up by mule to having a fully stocked fridge, including ample water and supplies! She clearly cared very much that we had the best time and sent many recommendations and was always at the end of the phone if needed. The house is beautiful and traditional to the island with large terraces with amazing views. Anyone who has been to Hydra will know that the best places require a bit of a hike and this is no exception, we traveled with our 3 year old and it probably was as the limit of our comfort level with regards to getting her up and down and keeping an eye on her when outside as the terraces have unprotected edges- which is standard on the island. Worth keeping in mind if you have small children. Those with children who are a little more adventurous will get the payoff of staying at this truly beautiful and peaceful house and island!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Florian was wonderful meeting us at the port and helping us with our baggage. Nothing was too much trouble - he organized some laundry to be done for us, a rental boat for a day, and some great restaurants. The villa itself was beautiful and we adored seeing the photo books of the restoration/renovation process. Highly recommend - of course you need to be fit and able to walk the stairs but the view is spectacular and absolutely worth it.

Mara and Bam were incredible hosts. They went above and beyond during our stay. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time even in the off-season. There was spinach pie waiting for us and sweet treats upon arrival. They clearly communicated what restaurants were open and connected us with a water taxi service. The kitchen has everything and more to make meals. The space was relaxing, stunning, and the perfect get away for our time in Greece.
