The place had amazing views, and was very comfortable. It was a lot of steps and stairs to get to the apartment but was well worth it. I do recommend getting a mule for luggage. The kitchen was small but was able to cook breakfast easily and managed a simple dinner. The view from the patio was great. Our hostess was very responsive and had lots of information about things and places to go on the island. Would highly recommend this apartment.

A hidden gem right by the sea. The property of Georgios is very unique and beautiful, The old olive trees in the big garden are very special. The terrace was amazing to just sit on and watch the Ocean. The close by beach and Tavern make it perfect! We loved this place to start off our Greece Vacation. Georgios is also very nice and easy in contact- we arrived very late, no problem for him. Thank you!

The apartment was very inviting and cozy, amazing view and an easy walk to the pier and restaurants. The hostess was available for us. It was clean and pampering.

Charming apartment making up the ground floor of Petros's place. The garden is stunning, with views across the town to the sea. Olive and citrus trees give dappled shade and there is an awning for when more shade is needed. Petros lives upstairs so is on hand and is extremely helpful. He not only picked us up at the port and gave us a lift back but also offered to take us to the supermarket and even to the Temple of Aphaia when he was going. The apartment is a 5-10 minute walk uphill from Marathonas A beach. A few minutes more brings you to the stretch of restaurants between the two beaches and a few minutes more the lovely Marathonas B beach. The walk has beautiful views across the bay to Moni and Perdika with the Peloponnese in the background. There is a well stocked supermarket near the A beach. There are buses to Aegina town and Perdika but only 2-3 per day. We walked to Aegina in about an hour and got a cab back for 8 euros. A fabulous, peaceful stay with a very helpful host.

Great studio with a love for small details that make the stay even more comfortable. Great view on the sea from the terrace. Good and fast communication with the host. A lot of flexibility regarding time of check in and out.

We have amazing stay in Argiris and Eleni’s place. They are very friendly and kind hosts. Also they organised a donkey to bring our luggage from the port which was a great experience! They provided drinking water for us (which might be tricky to bring from the shop since there is many stairs to pass to get to the house), and gave us some guidance about the food. I have to admit they were taking care of us during the whole stay which in my opinion is not a common thing, so I’m absolutely recommending their place :) they gave us a truly Greek hospitality, thank you 🙏

Lovely Airbnb with a gorgeous view over Hydra, right to the ocean. We loved staying here and spending time on the patio. We got some great recommendations from the host too which were all great! We would absolutely stay here again.

How to say, if you are looking for tranquility, rest, sun, a beautiful sea view,a jacuzzi for relaxation , in a charming town, this cycladic house will charm you as it charmed us! Sue is a welcoming, pleasant and responsive host. We can only recommend this slice of heaven!

Nikolas's house was everything I expected and more.. The location was about a 40 minute walk from the port, Nikolas sent instructions of how best to get taxi for when we arrived, but once we had tested the walk out the next day we decided it would be ok to walk back with our luggage for the return ferry. There was an amazing bakery about 5 minutes walk from the house and a supermarket with just about everything you may need. We were welcomed by Zoe with lemonade and her own olive oil and the fridge was stocked with water - lovely gesture. The house has everything there to enrich your stay and had a lovely personal touch to it. The local area was fairly quiet, beautiful peaceful beaches and quite a few eating places. Delicious breakfast at Odyssey, and evening meals at a couple of the beach front restaurants which were all good. The port area is much busier and has lots of bars, shops etc, but still has a peaceful aura. Beautiful place and I would return in a heartbeat! ❤️

The time on Hydra was a dream to be in. Ioannis picked us up from the harbor with his dear donkey Penelope despite the later ferry. So we didn't have to carry luggage. The house is quiet yet a great base for exploring the island. A very sweet cat came to visit us every day in one of the two pretty courtyards. Ioannis prepared wine and olives, we were always allowed to take lemons from the tree and he even prepared a small surprise. A very warm host!

An utterly charming spot 💫

A well designed beautiful white peaceful space with terrace and a courtyard tucked into one of the perfectly romantic alleyways in the port town of Idra. Close to the waterfront (the ferry) and the little bakeries, cafes and restaurants. I had been traveling for a couple of months and was flying back to N America for the busy holiday season and this was the perfect place to rest and recharge. I hiked, I ate good food, i read and relaxed. Loved everything about it. Great host-always responsive. Highly recommend.

Anna’s home was beautiful as was the location. Very close to some amazing restaurants on both sides of the peninsula. Easy walk to the ferry. We were made to feel like part of the family. Anna left us lovely fresh fruit, jams and water. Communication by Anna was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for us and we would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Anna.

I would highly recommend staying at Eleni's home. It’s perfectly located right on the port of Hydra, offering stunning views. Eleni and her assistant were incredibly helpful and always available whenever we had any questions.

Stamatis we saw little when he was sick. But Anna the landlord was gorgeous. She simply didn't know what good she could do for us. Expecting a 5 star hotel, -least away!! Do you expect a 5 star stay with nature peaceful own beach and simple conditions with a walkway to the trip nicest restaurant Marina just below is this place. Here the hens walk freely, the dog jackie visits you and donkeys just behind the house. This is idyll you will not get anywhere else. Recommend a daily trip into the harbor as a nice morning walk. 2 alternative trails to walk. Feel free to accompany a donkey on the way. They often walk by with a proud owner who delivers goods along the road. TAxi boat close to the pier also made shopping trips easy and idyllic experience. Nice beaches in the area but finest was the private nearby.

We had a lovely stay at Anna and Stamatis' place. They are perfect hosts and the location is beautiful and private.

Wow! What a gorgeous view of the island of Poros from Argyro’s place on the mainland town of Galatas! It was also conveniently located to good eating and coffee places, and only a 5 minute walk to take the five minute ferry boat ride to Poros, a dreamy, most beautiful island!! The kitchen was fully equipped, and the apartment itself was most charming, as was our friendly and responsive host, Argyro, who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely one-night-stay at Dora's place near Hydra Port, in a traditional Hydra house. House was very cute and compact and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were comfortable and you can see the sea from the upstairs bedroom. Only a ten-minute walk from Hydra Port, location was as picturesque as it gets (love how close the beach is, as well). We had a wonderful time at Dora's and will be returning to stay with her, for sure :) Thank you! Elsa, Alma & Anja
