Hekluhestar guesthouse Austvaðsholti

Our guesthouse is built with the idea that it would be similar to the viking houses in the old days, a big open space, divided in three parts. It's nothing fancy but all necessity can be found in the guesthouse. In summer we offer riding tours, short and long, in May we have the lambing season. The guesthouse is close to family-friendly activities and has huge outdoors space. The guesthouse is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets)

Charming house, romantic, spacious and beautiful!

The house (HG-00002635) is centrally located in southeast Iceland, close t the Golden Circle and to all major attractions and places of interest, beautiful nature all around. It is located in the small town Fludir, the last house on a small, dead end street, very peaceful. Great mountain view and good opportunity to see the northern lights in winter. Ideal for big families or groups. Outdoor swimming pools nearby, organic, fresh products from local farmers and grocery store in town.

Old Post Office

The old post office is a very beautiful apartment that we furnished in 2023 with a beautiful view of the Outer Rangá. Hella is very well located in the south. It is a short drive to many beautiful places. It’s really fun to stay in Hella for a few days and take a day trip to all the main places in the south. It is no problem to see the northern lights on Hella and if you drive 5-10 minutes you get out of all the street lights and manage to enjoy them even more.

Our farm is remotely located in the countryside, only 9 km from the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Perfect location for making trips exploring the natural beauties of south-east Iceland or simply stay at the farm for the peace and quiet, cuddle our dogs or enjoy our sauna. At the farm we have hiking and biking trails and a trail map for our guests, taking you to hidden places most people won´t have the chance to visit.
