cozy artist loft near basel and black forest

in the district Hüsingen in the middle of the village, next to the old village well, stands our stylishly converted farmhouse dating from 1788, situated next to a horse paddock, not far from the forest. The attic is an oasis of peace. A large wild garden with apple trees belongs to the property and can be used for a romantic campfire, depending on the season. S-Bahn connection can be reached in 5 min by car. A baby cot can be added, children must be very careful with the steps.

Close to nature & stylish living in the old farmhouse

The apartment is in the small district of Karsau, which belongs to Rheinfelden (Baden). In an almost 200-year-old farmhouse overlooking our farm animals (horses/sheep/cat/dog/chickens) you can relax wonderfully. Basel can be reached in 20 minutes by car/train. Beuggen train station is within walking distance (1.5 km). Right next door is a children's playground and the forest with beautiful walking and cycling trails is a few minutes' walk away. This special accommodation, in the middle of the D/F/CH border triangle, quiet, stylish and yet centrally located, welcomes you very warmly! You enjoy a breathtaking view of Basel. In summer you can cool off in the pool. Various Shops, pharmacy, train and tram station (CH) are within walking distance, and the Riehen/Switzerland border crossing is within walking distance. In December visit the Christmas Market in Basel, the nicest one in Europe!

The old dye works, a factory from the 19th century. century, was expanded for mixed use. In addition to apartments, workshops and a doctor's office, guest rooms were created under the shed roofs of the factory halls. It was important to us to give the old building fabric a new use and to make it tangible. We were able to completely preserve the building shell and reuse renewed components in a different context. New components were left natural.

Studio Gartenweg

The bright, quiet studio (approx. 25 sqm), designed for 1-2 people, has sophisticated equipment. It is located on a southern slope overlooking the garden, forest and meadows. Private access to the studio is via 13 external stairs through the garden. The studio also has a small garden terrace facing west, with awning and seating. Parking is available right by the house. The hosts, with their two cats Maya and Negrita, live in the house .

You can easily reach the center of Lörrach by foot. With the Konus card, you can use public transport for free, and the S-Bahn to Basel is only 7 minutes away. Perfect for discovery tours in the border triangle and Black Forest!

The 2-room apartment is modern and cozy and has a balcony. In the bedroom there is a double bed, the couch in the living room can be prepared as a sofa bed. It is quiet at night. Overall, there is a village idyll near Basel. Our restaurant Rürhberger Hof provides some movement in the village center. Motorization is an advantage as public transport is poorly connected.
