Charming apartment at the entrance of the Emmental

Rural and yet not far from any civilization lies our small living and garden dream. The old stone house is located in Ersigen near Burgdorf BE, a twenty-minute drive from Bern. In the village there is a café, three restaurants and a farm store. The bus to the nearest major shopping facility leaves every 30 minutes during the day. We occupy the second floor of the house and rent two rooms with kitchen and bathroom on the first floor. We are happy to answer any questions you may have!

The studio is located on the ground floor of a former country school house, surrounded by green meadows, in the beautiful Emmental. The studio has a double bed, a private kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. When the weather is fair, the garden invites you to linger. Despite the rural location, the center of Sumiswald is only about 3 km away. A sports center with swimming pool is also nearby. The nearest bus stop is approx. 1.5 kilometers away.

On cloud 9 - guest studio in the mini house

We rent our very small studio (13 sqm) with private entrance for one or two people. WE DO NOT OFFER BREAKFAST. The bed (140 x 200 cm) can be transformed into a sofa in no time with a handle. Wi-Fi, a writing desk, a TV and a terrace seat are available. A private shower/toilet, bed linen with terry towels, hair dryer and hair shampoo are provided. There is a simple and well-equipped kitchen with fridge, kettle and coffee machine.

Spread over 2 floors with a ground floor entrance which leads into a spacious open plan living room, dining and kitchen area. In our Stöckli you will live as in Gotthelf's times but with the comfort of today. The wood-burning stove provides a cozy warmth. The whole house is at your disposal during your stay. In addition to your very private outdoor seating area, you can also use the large flower garden with various seating options. The flower garden is publicly accessible, so it may well be that you also meet other connoisseurs in the garden.

This spacious apartment is located in the cozy attic of a typical Emmental farmhouse named Bühlmenschwand. In addition to the hosts, friendly dogs, cats, sheep, donkeys and chickens live on the Bühlmenschwand farm. From here you can enjoy beautiful walks through the adjacent woods and meadows, or further discover the Emmental by car or bike.
