Where do I begin? Alena (host) was amazing from the second I booked this chalet all the way through checkout, and our trip home. I have stayed in many Air BnB's, and Alena was the best host I could ask for. Before we even checked in Alena had given me recommendations of things to do, places to eat, and had covered any detail I could have needed. During our stay she checked on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves (even though she was on vacation herself!!!) The chalet is even more beautiful in person, the chalet is surrounded by the Swiss Alps, and the scenery is like nothing I have seen before. Inside the chalet was almost as beautiful as the Alps outside, (no offense Alena ;) The woodwork inside the chalet is stunning along with the other beautiful decor. My family and I began our trip in Paris, and finished at this chalet. It was a long exhausting trip, and seeing the Alps had been on my bucket list for 40 years. This stay was a true dream come true. I completely recommend this stay. Not only a great, clean apartment with all you would need and a very responsive owner. But Engelberg and the surrounding area is impossible to describe in words. You are in for an experience you will never forget

The apartment is very pretty and offers a beautiful view of the Black Forest. The starry sky is great. We had very nice Easter days there and hiked a lot. You can start directly from the house, there are many different tours. Thank you for the hospitality.

We arrived much earlier than actual check in n Maria allowed us in without fuss. Maria house makes you feel at home. Nevertheless short of shampoo bath gel even body lotion. Very generous of a Bnb host. Everything is there like your house. We are 5 seniors and it’s comfortable. We took the train to Hergiswill n there is a glass blower factory n nice restaurant. Washing machine n dryer work fantastically. No supermarket or bakeries near by but we went out each ch day and per Maria’s advice to buy fm Lucerne before we head back. Ideal. Everyone loves her house.

Very nicely located courtyard slightly above Lyss with direct forest and hiking trail end. Otherwise, a lot of peace and quiet , as you do not hear the highway or road. The room is right next to the entrance, which certainly offers less privacy than we were allowed to enjoy with other occupations of the other rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped and described. There are hints and instructions everywhere so that you can find your way around. Many thanks to Larissa & Damian

Absolutely as expected. Really nice apartment with an amazing terrasse, and private parking. All communication was perfect and instructions and photos matched reality which made checkin really easy. Patrick was proactive and asked for improvement suggestions, and whatever small thing we mentioned he took care of while we were out (with our permission of course) such as missing hangers in the bathroom for towels etc. The place was brand new so he appreciated the feedback and dealt with everything promptly. No questions asked.

Great place and location, very recommend

The uncomplicated and very friendly Aline welcomed me, showed me everything briefly. A beautiful studio with comfortable bed, clean bathroom, simple kitchen but with everything you need. Great garden with pond; very private & on its own without disturbances from the outside. Large closet as storage space, easy access incl. Parking. All in all a highly recommended stay with Aline. This studio is fantastic. Large, super clean and comfortable. Very quiet. My husband was ready to move in! Lots of little touches to make life convenient like oil and vinegar at the ready. The location is super although it took us a day to figure it out. The parking spot is a great advantage. Leave the car (parking in town is super expensive) and walk down or take the bus or funicular. Grocery store also close by. Love the town which is also a great base to use to visit Geneva, Lausanne, Bern and many other places. Plus it is easy to spend 2-3 days exploring Fribourg. We would definitely come back and would rent this place again. We loved it!
