We absolutely enjoyed your place! Sharon and Anna were excellent host and very supportive! The apartment lacked nothing! It was so peaceful and relaxing! We loved the trail around the whole lake and walked it each day! The location is very convenient to anything you would like to do in the mountains! The space was bigger than we expected and works out really well for our needs. The host was very responsive and helpful. There is a 3 ring binder with all the info about the area.

Loved the place. We previously stayed at the motel down the street. We had at least 4x the space and a full kitchen. The location on Main Street could not be better. The front door is locked and the apartment door is locked providing excellent security.

We had a blast staying here! We were here for a month as part of a long road trip. Laurie and Mike were incredible hosts- their yard was dog perfect, they had tons of recommendations, and were super friendly, and we were made very comfortable. Would definitely stay again! ☺️

This is a great spot for a family of four. The beds were comfortable. The space was big enough to spread out a little bit. The view from the deck is great as well. If you don't mind being 30 minutes away, this is a great place to stay while visiting Asheville. It's about an hour from Looking Glass Falls too. It's also a beautiful drive to the Tail of the Dragon from here. If you're coming from Raleigh this makes for a much shorter drive home after spending a day driving near the Dragon.

What a charmer of a place. Although the exterior is nothing special, once you walk into the space you'll find yourself in an adorable cottage. In fact whomever decorated it has an excellent eye. The furnishings are tasteful yet comfy, the art on the walls pleasant, the bedrooms and closets decently sized, and the kitchen perfectly functional. If you want to cook, you'll find the kitchen well stocked and the stacked washer and dryer worked perfectly. The hosts provided lots of little special touches throughout--candles, cute lamps, and window treatments and they couldn't have been any more helpful or responsive. The only downside is, as mentioned in several other reviews, is the parking. The house is located on a blind curve and requires extra caution when departing. Is it a deal breaker? Not at all. The location is excellent. You can get downtown, to the art district, and food and drink with just a few turns out of the neighborhood.

This was a delightful stay. I was here for a couple months and really appreciated the beauty, the privacy, the peacefulness. And it all works because Asha and Josh have put together a real sweet place. Here's what you WON'T find - cheap furnishings or tired Airbnb stereotypes like framed posters that say "Be Your Best Self!" in script. What you WILL find is a nice, comfy place to stay. You'll find dishes and mugs that have some heft to them. You'll find thick trees all around that come alive with birds each morning. And you'll find very friendly people who will leave you alone or stop and talk for 15 minutes about the plants they just put in - whichever you prefer.

Have been vacationing in Western North Carolina for about 30 years. The Sunset Cottage is one of the most enjoyable places that I have been to. It’s in a beautiful setting, off the beaten path, and you can get to everything conveniently from there. I would like to stay there again!

Great location - a very short walk to the lakeside trail. We had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Alice and Philip were very responsive.

John’s space exemplifies exactly what an Air B&B should be. He goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and provides books, music, beer and a large list of recommendations for Asheville. All in an effort to help travellers make the most of their visit to Asheville. I have travelled to many countries in the world and his efforts are tops! Bravo John!

We were a last minute booking and Sandi graciously accommodated us Liked "dog-friendly". The side yard was perfect Situated off a windy busy local traffic road but landscaping masked the scene well. We stayed three days and the space was perfect for us. A bigger refrigerator would have helped

Super comfortable accommodations and roughly 10 minutes to downtown and maybe 6 minutes from west Asheville neighborhood with great restaurants/bars/shops.

Honestly, this is the nicest rental we have stayed in ever. The bathroom is absolutely gorgeous, the kitchen is well suited for a quick stay, the bed and pillows are FANTASTIC...honestly we will be returning.

Mick and Beth have such a cute place! It was very accommodating for us and our dogs. Even with a couple of minor incidents that occurred during our stay, they were very responsive and helpful. It was super close to all the best spots including downtown Asheville and the River Arts District. Also a nice walkable neighborhood for the dogs. We had a great time!

Joy has a lovely place and is a great communicator. As fellow locals, we appreciated her flexibility is allowing us to use her Airbnb as a work space in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Thank you, Joy!

Beautiful place! Stunning views, Peaceful sounds of the running water. Loved the pond and deck, including use of the hot tub. Private entrance and keyless entry. Feels very private and secluded but your close to town. 10/10 would recommend for a stay in Maggie Valley. We will most definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay here with our 3 pups for the weekend, such an ideal location close to everything downtown, hiking, and the arts district and so much more! Their home makes you feel right at home plus a basket of stuff for the pups was a wonderful touch! Hope to be back soon!

James and Netty were extremely kind and friendly! The backyard was perfect for our dog, the house was super clean and it had everything you’d need for a nice getaway. I loved enjoying lunch on the deck and being so close to awesome hiking trails! Would certainly recommend this Airbnb :)

If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded mountain getaway, this is exactly the place! Our host, Brian, went above and beyond from before our stay until we, regrettably, had to go home. Would have liked to stay much longer! We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor lighting, vacation guides, device chargers, freshly cleaned robes, sound machines in the bedrooms, complimentary and high quality soap and shampoo, well-stocked selection of Keurig pods, even the Ingles discount card for those who don't have an Ingles back home. The list of amenities goes on and on! Brian also proactively provided great recommendations and was so helpful. This is an A+++ AirBNB. We hope to be back soon!

Great place to stay, prefect for couples looking for a retreat or a small family. Hot tub was a great bonus and the location is only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Beautiful Backyard suite was lovely. And the proximity to Asheville was quite convenient while being out of the bustle of the city. The hot tub (and lots of provided towels) made this location a wonderful choice to relax and soak away stress on a quick weekend getaway from Tennessee.

Our host, Alex, was terrific. Very friendly, responsive and kindly lent my husband a belt for an event we attended as he forgot to pack his own from home! The space is perfect and meticulously clean. Bed is very comfortable and kitchen has lots of pans to use for cooking which we appreciated. WiFi is good as we needed to work remotely for a day there (desk, kitchen table and covered outdoor picnic table provided lots of space). Not to mention aesthetically, it is a gorgeous place. Alex suggested a great park around the block (Bent Creek Community Center) and the neighborhood is walkable. Of course Bent Creek has fantastic trails close by. Highly recommended staying here! You won’t be disappointed.
