Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Mendota

This was my first time using Airbnb. We had a group and it seemed like a better idea to try and find something we could share for the GaryCon convention. None of us were familiar with the area so I used the app and geo bracket for within 10 miles of the convention and came up with this beautiful home that had enough beds to accommodate each of us. I looked through the pics and was happy with what I saw. Sasha was responding quickly to answer my questions and we made the reservations. When we got to the place we were all happy with what we found. The hone was spacious with large beds in each room. 3 baths made it easy for us to get out quickly each morning. The kitchen was really great. The deck was really great. Seriously couldn't not have been happier and more pleased. Thank you for opening up your home to us. I understand why people live the area. I strongly recommend this home and Sasha if you're in the area.

We had a great time at this location. Our host, Margaret was extremely helpful and welcoming. The house and the property were beautiful and what we were looking for. We had plenty of space for our family to celebrate the holidays. Margaret was very responsive and kind when we had any questions. She even brought a family member's lost coat to the house when a business called her about it. She went above and beyond. I definitely recommend this property and the host.

this property was perfect for our family retreat! it had all sorts of spaces accommodative to both adults and kids - and our dog - from the spacious yard and numerous dining areas to a game room, fire put, movie theater and more. the neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming, and made for some lovely walks in the surrounding nature. lastly, the host was *extremely* responsive both in advance of and during our trip, answering all of our questions, and even arranged for maintenance to retrieve a frisbee that landed on the roof. just a heads up - the bathrooms didn't come stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash, so make sure to bring that yourself!

Great place by the lake. Close to Chicago for a day trip and great restaurants nearby. The home was well equipped with what we needed and the hot tub was a perfect temperature for the chilly evenings. Zan was a responsive host and we had no issues throughout our stay. The beds and couches were comfy and clean. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay for a family to enjoy Green Lake. Clean, comfy beds and sofa. Loved having coffee on the patio. A short walk to main road with a short drive to public beach. Quiet and peaceful yet close to all the action Green Lake offers. Emily was proactive and so helpful. Will visit again!

My sister and I were visiting family nearby over Christmas and need a place for everyone to stay. Fawn went above and beyond to create the perfect Christmas stay for our family. She communicated frequently and made sure to leave a pack'n'play, child's cot and stroller for the kids, and decorated the place to feel like Christmas. Plenty of space, nice winter views of the river, and a wonderful shower! Would definitely stay again!

This place was amazing and everyone felt right at home. The views were undeniably beautiful, as we couldn’t wait to watch the sunrise every morning. Amanda was an amazing host and thought of everything down to the tiniest of details. Our trip was in cooler weather and couldn’t fully experience the full extent of the lake yet the kids NEVER complained they were bored, as there was plenty for them to do from board games, arcade machines, and a gaming console. I really appreciated all the safety measures put in place for a crawling baby.We are already planning another trip. Thank you for the memories and can’t wait to stay again to make many more.

Susan was awesome, very friendly and willing to work with you on checkin time also if I needed something. This has been my best experience yet with a BNB, will book again next time I am I. the area. Also easy access to the Toll so to get back to Chicago

Great place near Devil's Head resort! It's less than a 3 minute drive so we were able to easily drive back to rest/eat in the afternoon and then head back to the slopes for a night ski session. The bathrooms and linen are extremely clean; the living spaces are spacious. The dining table/area is smaller but not a big issue - the kitchen has a complete set of cookware and microwave/fridge. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Very nice place to stay. Has a lot of fun games. the hot tub was good. Kitchenette has a hot plate, electric skillet, toaster oven and blender so you can cook simple foods

Host was always responsive. We went for a quick weekend getaway and our place was clean, well stocked, and quite cozy! Hopefully get to go back soon!

Staying with Bente and her husband is so relaxing. We fully enjoyed being outside, surrounded by animals on a peaceful farm. The children spend most of their time in the hay stable: swinging, chatting and petting the cats. The blossoming orchard was very pretty for a small walk. The children already asked when we can go back for another weekend.

Stayed for a night while visiting Roscoe for weekend family activities. Easy to find, great location next to south beloit park and a great price! Tracey was super nice and showed us around when we got there. Would definitely stay here again!

I had an amazing personal retreat. The space was great to veg out and watch TV and also do some activities that I brought with me! It was quiet, comfortable and super close to great shopping and local eateries in Lake Geneva. I would totally stay again!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this cozy, historic house. The place was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully stocked with snacks. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and full of amenities within walking distance, making it a pleasure to explore. From the communication leading up to our stay to the smooth checkout process, everything about this experience was fantastic. I give it my highest recommendation!

Matt & Molly's cabin is wonderful for a romantic get away! So many thoughtful touches throughout. Very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed star gazing in the evening and listening to the birds during the day from the back porch. The fireplace is easy to turn on. We enjoyed hot cocoa by the fire with the comfy blankets. The king bed was so comfortable! 15 minute drive to Galena, IL and 20 minute drive to Dubuque, IA made it perfect for feeling remote yet having access to excellent restaurants, plus grocery stores. We'll definitely be back!

Will definitely be coming back here every time we are in the area. The cabin felt Like home, with amazing views of their buffalo herd and rolling hills. Pristinely clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Exactly what we needed.

My family and I stayed at the Driftless Escape Cabin and had a wonderful time! The interior was even more beautiful in person with plenty of space for my whole family. The Kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfy and they had everything you needed. The property was gorgeous with lots of open space and amazing views. We loved playing in the yard and s’mores by the fire. And even though the cabin is close to town, we still felt like we were miles away in nature and truly disconnected!!

Omg!!! All I can say, it's well worth it. The place is BEAUTIFUL, Yecenia put so much thought in decorating. You don't need to bring anything, but your change of clothes. Everything you need is there. Yecenia thank you so much, for taking the time and effort to make your guests feel at home. Alec’s place was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice log cabin feel. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the thoughtful touches and well-stocked amenities throughout the home. We would absolutely stay here again!
