In the immediate vicinity there are numerous lakes & thermal baths that invite you to swim, Kaiserstuhl and the Black Forest for hiking & cycling (very good network of bike paths!). France (25 km), Switzerland (65 km) & Freiburg (7 km) & Europa-Park (40 km/30 min.)

The house, surrounded by a sheltered garden, is located on a sunny slope in the small hamlet of Langackern between meadows and forests. It offers a special atmosphere of nature and modern luxury: bright, spacious, pleasant, with floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful views of the lovely landscape. Close to the city of Freiburg and at the same time in the middle of the Black Forest, you can enjoy the culture of the lively city and the peace and quiet of the mountains, the forest and the unique nature.

Mettlenhof, also known as Mettlen Farm, is a restored farmhouse in Mettlen, Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg. Built with traditional craftsmanship and natural materials, it provides a bright, welcoming space for up to 10 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of rolling hills, Icelandic horses, and Scottish Blackface sheep. Our apartment is located on the outskirts of the beautiful wine village of Eichstetten, directly from various excursion destinations such as hiking and cycling. The seed garden, breeding and show garden, is about 450 m away and is also the start and end point of the Geopfad (length 9.5 km / ascent 500 m /descent 500 m / difficulty medium), one of the entrances to the Kaisertour (mountain bike tour / length 68 km / 1360 m / difficult) or the starting point for many mountain bike or bike tours.

Unsere ca. 40qm grosse Gästewohnung ist das ideale Basiscamp für mobile Personen welche Freiburg & Umgebung entdecken wollen. Die tageslichtdurchflutete Souterainwohnung verfügt über einen eigenen Eingang und einen kleinen Außensitzplatz (für z.B. Frühstücke im Sonnenschein). Der Ortsteil Waltershofen liegt am Fuße der wunderschönen Weinbergregion Tuniberg & Kaiserstuhl. Das Freiburger Zentrum ist in ca. 15Min. mit dem Auto bzw. 30Min. mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen.

The Tannengrün vacation home is modern, cozy and comfortably furnished and has a small balcony with seating. The wellness area with sauna and hot tub in the house invites you to relax after a nice hike. The vacation home is located in the upper village of Eichstetten in a quiet location. In just a 5-minute walk you are right in the Eichstetter vineyards - surrounded by nature.

We live here and offer you an Airbnb as it was originally intended: We share our living space with travelers when we are on the road ourselves. Beautiful, angled and lovingly furnished attic apartment in the Freiburg district of Wiehre in a listed and completely renovated Gründerzeit villa. You will have breakfast on a spacious roof terrace overlooking Freiburg Minster and the Black Forest. The bedrooms are rustic gables and turrets, and because of the sloping roofs CANNOT be locked by doors.
