Kathleen’s home was so lovely and cozy, and Kathleen was communicative, helpful, and very kind! It is well stocked (tea, coffee, popcorn!), and was very comfortable for our group of 6. The pizza spot across the street was excellent and fun spot to hang out in the evening. Google and Apple Maps took us to the wrong location so keep that in mind when you’re looking for it (the area is very dark at night!).

Me and my fiancé chose Nadine’s as a wind down spot for our trip. The place was really nice and cozy. We were surprised to see the Christmas decorations still up and with a snow storm during our second day there, it made the whole place have this rustic, winter wonderland feel. That was absolutely beautiful. We didn’t get a chance to do any local hiking but we plan on returning to tackle those! We were also surprised to receive cinnamon rolls and cookies from the local bakery (which were absolutely fantastic!). The pizza place right up the road was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had too! For a new place it still could use some tweaks but all in all it was great!

My daughter, myself and our dogs stayed 3 nights at Arli and AJ’s cabin and it was fantastic! The nature trail is a nice walk and it is very quiet and peaceful. It was very close to Lost River State Park where we hiked one day. The area itself is nice and peaceful with very little tourist traffic or tourist traps, but there are still a few restaurants within an easy drive. Just a note for dog owners—my larger dog is a big baby and was afraid to go down the wood stairs to the basement where we slept. It was easy to walk him outside and down the hill to the basement door when we went down to watch tv or sleep. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to get away and relax!

We loved the yurt! It was the perfect place to stay while we were hiking and taking in the fall colors!
