From the second half of August to September, after the bustle of summer, you can also enjoy the slightly calmer atmosphere of Shinshu. During the day, you can go to the mountains and plateaus, and at night, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. This is a private cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and the starry sky. It is recommended not only for those who want to spend a relaxing time in Azumino and Ikeda-cho, but also as a base for sightseeing in Kamikochi and Hakuba, for stays of one night or more. A convenient location as a base for sightseeing in Hakuba, Kamikochi and Tateyama-Kurobe. We also accommodate group trips, family trips, and stays of several nights to long-term stays. The washing machine and bathroom also have a drying function, so you can stay comfortably for multiple nights. You can get here by public transport, but it is more convenient to have a car in this area. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000 yen to 8,000 yen (round-trip fare) depending on the distance, within a 2-hour one-way range. For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please consult with us in advance.

Surrounded by the chirping of birds and the clear air, we have created a special space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and truly relax. The interior is compact but calm, with the warmth of wood, and from the window you can enjoy the changing faces of the forest through the seasons. It offers a luxurious experience of waking up in the morning to the light of the mountains and gazing at the star-filled sky at night. It is also ideal as a base for skiing, backcountry activities, hiking and forest walks, and is recommended for couples or partners looking for a stay in harmony with nature. It is also in the centre of Hakuba Village, so please spend a special time just for yourself in the tranquillity of the Northern Alps. We can also pick you up from Nagano Station. Please let us know if you would like this. We will provide seamless service without you having to wait in line for a bus. You can use it as a summer resort during the summer season from July to September. During the day, there is a cool breeze and the temperature is around 20°C, so it may be a good idea to have something to wear in the morning and evening.

Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You will have full access to a comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, a natural garden that creates seasonal views, and a forest with a stream.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see birds, squirrels, and raccoon dogs, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)
