Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Otaru

Kazue was a very kind host who picked us up from the train and dropped us off. she also gave us lots of great recommendations and was really great all around. I would definitely stay here again. the home had a really cozy atmosphere and made me feel right at home.

The space is full and the three toilets are so convenient!It's a bed sheet comforter that doesn't feel like it's dusty, and it might feel a little better in a different style.

Hideki and his wife were the most wonderful hosts, and I highly recommend this stay!! They're space was one of the cleanest stays I have been in and the room was so spacious. The guest suite felt private enough to be my own space, as I had a personal toilet, sink, and small kitchen set-up all to myself. The location was quiet and remote, but Hideki drove me to and from the train station any time I needed to go out for the day. The train ride to Kita-Hiroshima was only 20 minutes from Sapporo Station - a perfect spot to come back to after a long day of exploring! Also, I really enjoy staying at guest houses where the hosts are personable and kind, and Hideki-san an his wife were just that. He gave me a personal tour of the new EsCon Stadium where the Hokkaido Fighters play and told me all about his love of baseball. If I ever am in Sapporo again, I will definitely stay at this guest house again!

- clean place - equipped with basic utensils, tools and household items for us to use (e.g. slippers, laundry pods, pans, towels etc) - very accommodating and helpful (i.e. assisted us to arrange taxi from/to CTS airport) - lightroom provided beautiful view during winter - no major issues with the house all well taken care of making it a very cosy and pleasant place to stay though one of the room heaters and living room heater needed to be turned on every three hours - do note that there’s only one bathroom and 2 separate W/Cs (in case you’re thinking of bringing a big group of people) - if you’re thinking to cook especially heavy cooking, please note that there’s only one induction cooker and during winter, it takes some time to heat up - highly recommended this place for its cleanliness, helpful host and reasonable price considering how expensive sapporo airbnbs are - thank you makoto! you’ve served us well <3

Only one night in Sapporo, but Touichiro the Hokkaido dog stole my heart. Cautious by nature, yet he sniffed me curiously from the start. A bit of play—and suddenly, I had a clingy, bitey best friend. By morning, we were tight. Then came goodbye. He didn’t bark or chase—just stared with those sad eyes from his corner. Like he knew. It hurt more than I expected. Ah—but this is a stay review, isn’t it? (I’m Japanese, but I heard many guests come from abroad—so I’m writing this in English.) The house was calm and cozy, the kind of place where time slows down. The host? Gentle, almost monk-like. And though the area felt remote, a convenience store just 80m away was a small, quiet miracle.

Love the place. Connect to nature and feels like home. We are able to see wild squirrel in the morning. Kids are so excited and will return to this lovely home soo . Thank you for hosting us!

My husband and friends really enjoyed our stay at Happily House! It was a private and quiet location, and the host was so nice and super responsive. She greeted us upon arrival, gave us a walkthrough of the place, and even came out to say goodbye when we checked out. The accomodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to explore Hokkaido!

It was an old building, but it was clean and it felt like returning to my parents' house. There were also sweets and rice available, which I had when I was hungry. Thank you. There were plenty of kitchens, cooking utensils, and dishes, so it was fine if it was a simple meal. The large number of rooms made it easy to organize clothes, etc. It was also great that laundry dried overnight. It snowed every day during the end of the year and new year, but the snow was cleared up to the front door, so I enjoyed clearing the snow from the rest of the roads and cars. It was good because you can't get that at a hotel. The hot springs and Royce facilities were also accessible by car or train, and I would like to stay again.

The sunlight came in the house well, so it was bright and clean. You can see the Ferris wheel at night, and the lighting is nice. There were 3 queen beds and plenty of towels, so I had a good stay with a family of 5 without any discomfort. I didn't have a dryer, but I washed it in the washing machine and hung it as a substitute for a humidifier, and it dried well. The bed and pillows were comfortable, so I slept well. I was worried that the children would be cold because there was no floor heating, but there were also slippers, and it was warm when the heater and radiator were turned on. The kids loved the hammock. There was clean water in front of the house, and the cherry blossoms were very cool. There are many grocery stores and convenience stores nearby. It's a 3-minute walk to Nakajima Park, so I often went to the playground with my kids. It's 3 minutes from the subway station and 10 minutes from Susukino. It was a smart door, so it was comfortable because I didn't carry the key, and there was an umbrella, so I was able to reduce my luggage. The host is always responsive and friendly This is a great place to stay for family travelers in downtown Sapporo

Nihonvita san & Luliia were great host! The moment you step into the house, you feel at home. They provided more than the basic essentials we need from cooking to toiletries. Their service exceeded my expectation and is the best Airbnb throughout my stay in Hokkaido!

Yumi’s place is clean and comfortable. Our family of 4 had a good night rest after flying for hours, then a half day road trip to Otaru. We are so glad we chose this place. The place is private and also close to the main Otaru attractions.

Responsive host. Only a 3 minute walk to the metro. A Lawson's across the street. Washing machine with a rack to wash and dry your clothes. Big enough apartment to relax after a long day of sight seeing. A view that's absolutely stunning. A little more pricey than some hotels in the area, but with a view like that and apartment style it was worth every penny.

We stayed for two days for sightseeing in Otaru and snowboarding in the neighborhood. I was able to stay at a pretty cheap price with a sale, but the room was spacious and stylish, and it was a great value for money. It is on a hill, so if you are staying with large luggage, you should have a taxi or a car.

◆Location It was very close to Nakajima Koen subway station, making it a great location for Susukino and going anywhere. There are also many restaurants nearby, and there is also a convenience store within a 1-minute walk of Lawson, Seven Eleven, and a short walk to Seicomart. ◆The space The bedroom is very beautiful and I am very satisfied. The furniture in the living room is a little old, but it is fully equipped with amenities, kitchen, refrigerator, iron, washing machine, detergent, etc. that make up for it. Everything is disposable, so it is clean. ◆Bath or toilet The drainage of the bath is weak and the shower is a little old, so if you are concerned about the water area, I think you should check it in advance. The toilet is super clean. ◆Entire place Recommended for families. Overall, I was very satisfied.
