┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ◆ Limited to one group per day / Private rental – An immersive stay experiencing the rebirth of a long-established ryokan and a storehouse ◆ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ■ Location, history, features ■ In the port town of Mitsuhama in Matsuyama/Dogo, a 106-year-old long-established kaiseki ryokan (formerly the Kaganaga Ryokan), built in the Edo period, with four white-walled earthen storehouses surrounded by four gardens, has been gradually renovated and revitalised (currently in the process of revitalisation), with white plastered earthen walls and natural Kannonji bamboo fences. This is an old private house inn that initially opened as an accommodation facility for almost 100% inbound guests. We are renovating the semi-open-air bath inside the storehouse and the area around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, and there is a stream that flows between the holy water basin, the ladle, the deer stone, and the stepping stones. The pot pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, conger eel, and river shrimp, and it is a biotope space visited by wild birds. ■ Check-in lounge (cafe/lounge area), souvenir corner ■ You can enjoy authentic cocktails on the ground floor of the annex (main building). There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods, accessories, natural stones, etc. from Japan, Bali, and other places.

There are also plenty of seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, river play, hot springs, and Hokuto City, which is surrounded by famous peaks, has many viewpoints where you can enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and Mt. Fuji. There is also an abundance of spring water. Please try to find them. The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials.
