Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Park Forest Village

I needed a place to reset, reboot, and revisit my favorite trails. This was tucked in off the road to give privacy and peace I was looking for. The floor to ceiling windows afforded an amazing view of the stars at night while laying on the very comfy couch. There are alot of games available for various ages. The skeeball game was so much fun. I was unable to use the fire pit due to rain but it was cozy and again afforded a great view of the sky at night. I loved the gym equipment upstairs. The TV was easy to navigate and had a lot of apps. The scenery was tranquil and beautiful. The kitchen had everything needed for any type of cooking along with the grill outside. This was well worth it. I loved the little journal she had for all the guests to fill out. It was so clean and no signs of any rodent or insect visitors noted inside. Inae responded promptly and was very welcoming. This was the best vacation I have had in a long time, basically because of this special nugget of a cabin.

Cory was always quick to respond and answer questions. The place was such a cute little countryside stay. Boomerangs restaurant was a 4 minute drive with great food, house was clean and had everything we needed. We will be back for the pool! Thank you Cory!

The home was beautiful and clean. It was a short drive to town for supplies and to the lake for some fresh air. Our family loved the space to spread out for sleeping. Beds and bedding were so comfortable and the wooded setting was dark and peaceful, all of which made for restful sleep. The kids loved the game space in the basement- playing ping pong, air hockey, and on the PSII. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped for making family meals and the large dining table allowed for the 10 of us to eat together. All of this, plus we were able to enjoy all of this with our 2 dogs. Ellen was responsive to a couple of questions and needs, as well as understanding when an item was accidentally broken. The only concern was some additional rules that were not on the original listing, but were messaged a few weeks before our reservation.

I went for a weekend getaway, and this place did not disappoint. It's a beautiful, private spot—nice and cozy, with stunning views all around. The host provided clear directions before arrival, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The house rules were straightforward and reasonable, and communication from the host was outstanding—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely caring. It was clear that a lot of time and attention went into every detail of the space, which made our stay even more special. We had a wonderful time, and I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Looking forward to coming back!

It was great to stay at Andrew’s place. Clean, homey, even the Keurig water tank was full! Only small disappointment was we couldn’t get the fire place to work, and both dryers were not working. If you are looking for a quiet place away, you’ve found your spot. My father in law and I were so happy with this choice. Andrew was an excellent communicator as well. 5 stars.

A beautiful home that was perfect for our weekend getaway! Our kids greatly enjoyed playing outside on the property. We loved it and the kids are asking to go back again!

This place is absolutely amazing, beautiful, peaceful. We didn’t have to travel far to find the absolutely majestic elk. The hosts were so very gracious. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend it !!!

We spent a long weekend here to get away from the city and it was peaceful and relaxing! Situated lonesome on a large & mostly secluded property, the cabin lets you disconnect from the world without giving up creature comforts like a jacuzzi & air conditioning. The cabin is spacious on top of being fully equipped with practically everything you'll need. We were especially grateful for the water bottles provided in the fridge. The only thing missing was shampoo (there was body soap) and a thicker blanket for the cool nighttime temperatures. The checkin/checkout experience was straightforward (just had to wash dishes, leave any garbage in the shed & throw used towels in the provided laundry basket before leaving). The indoor fireplace is not to be used from April to September. We made use of the firepit in the backyard instead which worked out well. Firewood and all other equipment necessary to start a fire was provided. We would definitely stay here again and for longer if possible!

We had a fantastic stay! The view was absolutely breathtaking—one of the highlights of the trip. The house itself was spotless and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. The added fire pit out back was a perfect way to unwind in the evening under a sky full of stars. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway.
