Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Polk County

We would absolutely stay here again it was 10/10! The pictures speak for themselves, the views were unmatchable! We loved the fire pit on the front porch and hot tub! The beds are super comfortable and the downstairs closet had plenty of space. We did not use the upstairs although it had a super nice office space and good closet space too in both bedrooms. The terrain is a little rough getting there, but we did fine in my Subaru outback! It was super peaceful and the extra acreage was super nice for our dog. Adam and Katie would respond very quickly and were super helpful, the place even has a great guide book with local recommendations. Would for sure recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay close enough to the fun things in Asheville!

Sharon went above and beyond to assist us with reserving her place. My husband and his crew were working in Lake Lure area and needed a place to rest and recharge. Sharon was very accommodating and very responsive when I reached out to her. She contacted me by phone to ensure everything we smooth for their stay. We would definitely recommend her place to all.

We have stayed at the Cider House a few times with our dogs. The house is perfect with plenty of space with a great kitchen, beautiful bathroom with strong water pressure, and plenty of space to walk our dogs outside. Every morning that we were there this time, we saw deer in the backyard which was perfect. The Cider House is our go-to place when we stay in the area to visit family and friends. Look forward to our next visit!

We celebrated Easter weekend at this beautiful and utterly charming home. The gorgeous yard was a perfect backdrop to our egg hunt, and we were able to serve brunch in the well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed walking to downtown Saluda for coffee at Wakey Monkey, breakfast at Wildflour Bakery, and dinners at Green River BBQ and The Purple Onion. Saluda is back and ready to welcome visitors, and this house is a wonderful home-base to enjoy it all.

What a great place. Brought the family for Thanksgiving. Plenty of room for everyone. Saw 4 bucks the day we arrived. We had fires, fished, played games and relaxed. Kitchen is very well stocked. Love the “second” kitchen. It sure helped with Thanksgiving. The whole house is. Thomas is a great host. Don’t hesitate to book. I bet it’s great in the summer.

We absolutely loved Richard’s home and hope to stay here again in the future. Richard is very accommodating and thoughtful. As a Librarian, I really appreciated his hand written note and attention to detail. The house is so beautiful, charming, and artistically designed. Also, the historical aspect of such a home is just heart warming. It was perfect for our creative retreat! We had everything we needed including space to spread out and let the creativity flow without interruptions. The view and outside space is lovely and well cared for. Nights by the fire pit and the readily available firewood made it that much more enjoyable. While the house was comfortably and serenely secluded for true relaxation, downtown Tryon is conveniently close enough to explore and enjoy. Overall, we absolutely loved everything about staying here! We hope to stay here again soon!

This house was very convenient for horse showing at TIEC. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking quick meals, and the beds were comfortable. Gray was super easy to communicate with and always very helpful. Will definitely keep this place on my favorites list for next time.

Cute place! This basement apartment had a nice kitchen and living room area. Lots of room! I was in town for work (working nights at TIEC and sleeping during the day). It was mostly quiet for that, but just a little pitter patter of paws a few times. Bring a noise machine if that would be an issue for you! Also a sleep mask came in handy for day sleeping. Would book again :)

We have stayed at Linda's place several times for horse shows at Tryon. We have had a great experience every time! It will continue to be our go-to in Tryon!

Great convenient location in the heart of downtown Saluda. Donna was very responsive. The location and amenities suited us very well.

We came to town for a wedding and were so happy we had Valarie’s peaceful home to stay in. She was very responsive and left lights on for us since we were getting in late. The GPS was slightly off and we missed the driveway the first time; just look for the two pillars! We would recommend this place to friends and come again.

We had a nice stay at Mary's house. Erin was a great contact and very helpful. Loved the little extra snacks they had. Very welcoming for the guests. Comfortable space close to town and they were always very responsive.

We had a lovely stay at Walter's beautiful Garden Apartment. Wonderful hosts, private setting, small details appreciated like creamer and it was spotles. we loved his knoweldge an love of his area and really appreciated him meeting us and talking us about the apartment and what to do and where to go. It is what staying at an Airbnb is all about. We loved it.

Great little duplex! Simple and clean! We came up for the horse show at TIEC. Not far from there. Will definitely stay again!

My fiancé and I loved our time spent at Gloria’s! She was a delightful host and her place was super cozy, clean, and relaxing! The super soft bed felt wonderful! We also loved our private entrance and the location was absolutely perfect for sightseeing. Once we arrived, our vehicle was parked until the day we left. We easily walked to downtown Saluda our entire stay! We look forward to coming here again in 2025!

Donna’s condo was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. Extremely clean! Definitely the cleanest airbnb we have ever stayed in. And had everything that you would need during your stay from a sound machine in the bedroom to little shampoo and conditioner toiletries in the bathroom. She even had snacks and drinks ready for our kiddos when we arrived which was a very thoughtful touch! The location is very close to everything in Hendersonville downtown and hiking trails. Definitely would stay at Donna’s place again when we come back to Hendersonville!

Great condo in the mountains. Was visiting for a wedding so a very short stay but this condo had everything we needed. Spacious for a condo and gorgeous patio/porch. Hope to return in the fall and enjoy it longer with all the amenities available.

Really enjoyed the place. Elizabeth provided a great experience responded quick and gave recommendations. We feel right at home and the hot tub was a huge bonus!!! Thank you so much for a great time

I can only rate Andrea on her communication. Unfortunately we were scheduled to come the same time Hurricane Helene made her presence. Andrea kept us up to date on weather conditions throughout storm. Unfortunately we were unable to get there to see the home ourselves, but I would definitely book again with Andrea just based on her communication. I hope that they did not endure too much damage, but unfortunate Lake Lure has a lot to recover from.

This unit is very spacious (high ceilings, wide hallways) but clearly a rental unit and not what I'd call homey. There isn't much carpeting and it's somewhat sparsely furnished, so there's not much to absorb sound; 2-3 kids playing got VERY loud very quickly due to how echoey it was. We also had to really crank the heat or the bedrooms got chilly. Toiletries were also a bit sparse, just a couple hotel-sized containers in each bathroom. No cooking oil or anything, just salt and pepper. We stayed over Thanksgiving post-hurricane Helene and the front entrance was still closed to traffic so we entered around back which was fine and easy to navigate/find. Biltmore Village was still nearly completely closed. The unit was clean with no sign that it had flooded except a faint odor (not Towns' fault). Nearby buildings are clearly still under recovery efforts with bright floodlights that pointed into some of the windows.

Absolutely perfect for our needs! The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessities, making our stay stress-free. The host truly thought of everything and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, always quick to answer any questions we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay—highly recommend!

April & Derek’s condo was beautiful and included all the necessities and more that we enjoyed while staying there - from washer pods, dryer sheets, extra paper towels, trash bags, coffee pods & seasonings. The one and only down side was the lake was inaccessible and drained on the side we were facing because of the restoration work due to hurricane devastation. We were able to take the kids to the indoor pool, we played mini golf and corn hole and they also had an Easter egg hunt & visit from the Easter Bunny on Saturday. We would love to return when the lake has been restored because it’s a very nice resort only two hours away from us. Oh and the views driving around the towns are amazing.
