We are renting out part of a renovated gîte located in Machennes (17800), just 500 metres from the motorway tollbooth, 1 hour from the cities of BORDEAUX and LA ROCHELLE, and 25 minutes from the nearest beaches and the town of COGNAC. This stunning, renovated stone house is ideal for guests seeking both tranquillity and accessibility. You'll love this unique and romantic getaway. Built around 1880 on the site of an old 18th century mill, the Magimar Tower is neo-medieval in inspiration. Built in cut stone, it includes a basement converted into a bathroom, a ground floor equipped for breakfast, a bedroom floor with vault and a panoramic terrace with a view (360°) of the Gironde estuary. The building is flanked to the northwest by a watchtower that houses a spiral staircase.
