Lovely suite and well situated for easy access to great hiking and beaches. Had everything we could possibly need for a short or long term stay. Gale was a lovely host and super accommodating. I highly recommend!

Their dog, Iyla (sp?), is a very friendly Collie which got along with my dog wonderfully. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and rural without being removed from amenities. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely place to stay right on the water and a 5 minute walk to a great local restaurant. Lovely sunsets over the island across the water. Very clean and warm too.

Slightly less kitchen counter than desirable for more than one person, but doable for a small dinner. Very happy with the space and amenities, would stay again!

Perfect place to stay. Quiet area and hosts, such a comfy bed and great showerhead. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen. Spoiled with so much tea. Easy walk 20 mins to Country Club mall, or 5 min drive where you can get all you need. Nice to have so much light from deck sliding doors. Highly recommend.

Place was immaculate and clean, and nicely decorated! Felt homey. It was nice to have coffee and lactose-free cream available! Courtney was very responsive and everything felt seamless. It was a good base for our Mt Washington ski trip!

From the aesthetically beautiful space to the fully equipped kitchen, Peter and I were delighted with our stay. It was quiet and peaceful so we were able to get our work done then enjoy some time in the hot tub and down at the beach. We loved waking up to the serene view of the ocean. We will definitely return!

We stayed at Miriam's for one night as a place to crash before we were headed out to ski Mt. Washington the following day. The place was exactly as described and had a plethora of amenities and was so well stocked with everything we would need. Wish we could've stayed longer and explored Courtenay more but definitely recommend this place if that's your plan!

Bob was one of the most responsive and clear hosts I have had. He really seems to care about the guests' stay.

I would highly recommend this place. It is so thoughtful, all the lovely little things about the nautical theme. All was clean and well-preserved, and we had an amazing time. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and appreciated it very much. Madison was responsive at all times, and our stay went smoothly. I love it when the places have the basic things for us to cook, which is a great bonus. The area is great, isolated in nature but has all the convenience nearby as well. Thank you!

This place is beautiful!! You can't go wrong with the views from here, and the newly built fire pit area is awesome for sitting and taking it all in. It comes with everything you could need for a relaxing weekend away. Close to beach access points and amenities. Highly recommend!!

We love the place. It was quite and accessible going to Mount Washington or just around Courtney. Super nice host and easy to talk to specially for our fur babies.

My daughter's and I had a great stay at Joelles place. It was clean, spacious, well organized, had everything we needed plus more and is exactly as listed. The area is quiet even though it's amongst other homes. We hope to be back again!

What a beautiful Place! It looks exactly like the photos - waterfront, lots of big windows, feels like you are on a boat! The suite is very clean, modern, great shower, comfy bed, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its quiet and tucked away, but very close to the charming town of Chemainus. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway with a view, nature, yet handy to shops, restaurants and walking trails. I didn't use the hot tub, but appreciated the cozy robe provided. Angela is super nice, helpful, and you get a friendly greeting from Pip the dog. Loved my stay there!

Got stranded in Gibson’s when a storm cancelled all the ferries. Was able to this last minute and it was perfect for what we needed!

What a great stay! The suite was in pristine condition and had everything we could possibly need and more. I’d prefer staying here over any hotel in town. The hosts are very responsive, kind and really take pride in their home. Would absolutely book again! Thank you!

I had the pleasure to stay with Kalvin and Tabitha for a few times this year. The suite is clean and spacious, and the host family is very friendly and welcoming. They have some little ones and they are very quiet. The instruction is clear and easy to follow. Kalvin and Tabitha are easy to communicate and very responsive. So if you are visiting Nanaimo, make sure to stay with this awesome family.
