Holiday rentals with a kayak in Rogaland

The place is absolutely idyllic. If you want to feel like living in a botanical garden and fruit garden with own lake and boat, with unbelievable view, this is your place. Two more features that are very precious nowadays - silence and darkness. You can observe Milky Way and millions of stars from terrace. And all this in absolute silence, similar to what I experienced last time in my grandma’s timber cabin 40 years ago.

Spectacular place! The views are unreal being right on the water. The house is stunning on the inside and has great design. Very cozy. The out door spa, fire and kayaks were amazing. We would love to return.

Charming vacation home in a quiet village. Very cozy, well equipped, clean with nicely made-up beds. Beds are well laid out, large garden. Close to magma Geopark, with many beautiful walks and views.

We had a lovely time in this house. All the amenities were there, it was very clean and Astrid is very hospitable. The communication with Astrid was very pleasant. We would certainly recommend this house.

We loved our stay, which was very peaceful, in what is a beautiful, tucked-away part of Norway. We swam in the water, visited the monastary and went for walks, all from the house, which was very clean and homely. Anders sold us some meat from his farm and the tomahawk steak in particular was amazing. Would love to come again someday. Very special and unique place that will stay in my memory for a long time. We loved it. Visually, the surroundings are exactly like the pictures. Stunning outlook, leafy, rough green garden space etc. The house space is comfortable and well lived in which makes it cosy and practical. Nice country cottage feel. Plentiful amenities. Relatively basic if you are expecting high end luxury, but is also not advertised as so, again true to all the pictures. We had a great time with our 2 kids and my parents. Hosts provided everything we needed for kids since they have one themselves. Thanks for having us!

Our visit in August 2024 is an absolute holiday highlight. Birger's cottage by the lake is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We had fantastic days, kayaking, sunbathing and fishing. All in heavenly peace and quiet, yet only 15 minutes from Haugesund. The cottage itself is very well maintained and lovingly furnished; everything you need is there. Birger was always available and was always helpful with advice. Definitely recommended!

The stay at John's house was great. I was there with my family and we enjoyed the big house in nature. John and his wife are very friendly and kind. They even brought us fresh fruits from their garden. :)

The house was both spacious and charming, in a good location. The landlord was friendly and responded right away. We would love to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay in the wild nature of Southern Norway. The cabin is lovely, comfortable and immediately makes you unclench your jaw and relax. Highly recommend!

Fantastic house, lovely location overlooking the sea. Got a really homey feeling, and couldn't find a single thing we were missing. Both big and small had a great time. Lovely patio that was used both day and evening, large and open outdoor area. Bonus for us was great sunset from the terrace. Will DEFINITELY come back here.

Hi. My family and I had a fantastic lovely trip to Kjetil's cabin. Everything was perfect. Our kids enjoy themselves and our little dogs had a really good time there. Fantastic good beds and duvet , would like the same at home. There is nothing missing. We made friends over and they were also very impressed with the place. We would so like to come back to Kjetil's cabin. Thank you Kjetil you are a good Bert. 🤩🤩

We had a lovely short week at Vegard's house. Even though we did not meet him, we had very pleasant contact. He is very responsive and friendly and helpful with questions! The house is in a nice quiet place with spacious garden and beautiful location on the water. You even have access to your own private beach and can use a boat and canoes. We had a lot of fun with that! Our dog was also able to have a good time here. You will be staying in a characteristic old house with lots of charm. Also a lot of space and comfort. And as a surprise, we had deer in the garden every now and then. Nearby is the Preikestolen, beautiful walk! And for visiting Stavanger, you are also ideal here. We liked Jørpeland too! In short, plenty to do in the area and around the house. Highly recommend if asking us!
