We ask that you please send us your request at least 24 hours before check-in. Please include car model/make, color, State of registration, and license plate number for the vehicle you plan to use during your visit. If you are renting a car, please let us know so that we can plan ahead. We will do our best to accommodate last minute parking permit requests but given these are issued by the City, we cannot guarantee it. Please keep in mind this permit is for parking within ANC1A area only (Columbia Heights and Park View neighborhoods). A map of the ANC1A area is included in the house photos for your reference. This permit does not allow you to park for free on metered spaces. We advise you to read all parking signs carefully to avoid being issued a parking ticket. The host is not responsible for paying parking tickets. There will not be a paper copy of the permit issued. The City has started an electronic permit system as of August 2025. There is no fee for obtaining the permit.

Lovely Lodging on Capitol Hill (lower level)

Fabulous close-in locale steps to Lincoln Park. Charming walk to Capitol, Eastern Market, Metro, Lib of Congress, Supreme Court in less than 20 min. Bike Shares and cheap ubers abound. Lower level of 1907 Victorian townhome with separate entrance invites you to a main living space with large TV, comfy sectional and day bed to relax after touring the city. Separate bedroom and bath provides perfect sleeping space for two. While no full kitchen or laundry, there’s a coffee bar, micro and frig.

Spacious Apartment in Historic Townhouse

We are on Capitol Hill, a short walk to the US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and the National Mall with its iconic memorials, Smithsonian Museums and National Gallery of Art. Half a block away is Eastern Market, an historic indoor food market open 6 days a week. On the weekends it expands with outdoor farm stands and vendors selling crafts and other goods. Within blocks are many restaurants, shops and the Metro. On street parking is free, a two night stay is minimum. Thank you!
