Farmstay holiday rentals in San Juan Islands

This is our second time in this lovely, perfectly located little cabin. We walked to Ruckle Park from the cabin, slept well in the quiet and dark, made good meals and enjoyed the yummy breakfast scones brought over in the morning. We will be back again.

The stay is peaceful and the location convenient to the whole of the north side of Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, and Sol Duc River and Falls). I was even able to stop for a hike at Staircase on the way up the east side. Diane was always responsive and offered her help freely.

We had a great time staying at this location! The place was clean and cozy and instructions provided to find the place were very clear.

We have a lovely weekend at Paulette and Ron’s place. It was a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and farm animals. It was really nice for our 1 year old who was excited to see the friendly dogs, goats and chickens. There also was a nice view of Olympic. Paulette was super flexible with arrival and check out. We also had fresh eggs and cookies that were waiting for us. I hope we will be back!

This place is straight out of a fairytale. Every corner of the farm oozes Celtic charm. One can see the thought and love gone into planting every bush and tree. The general vibe of the place is very warm and welcoming. The cottage was just the right size for our family of 5(including our family dog). The house has a big collection of books, video cassettes and board games if one is looking for indoor entertainment. For outdoor fun, there is a big grassy field on which we spent most of time playing and the farm animals to watch. CarolLynn was a fantastic host(the best AirBnB host we’ve come across yet) and was gracious enough to show us around the farm and let us meet her horses. She really makes you feel right at home. The stores, gas station and restaurants are 6-8 mins of drive from the farm. Very convenient! Just go ahead and book it!

The location of this rental was even more beautiful in person, than in the photos. On a 25 acre farm, it had water and mountain views and was peaceful and relaxing, while at the same time only a short drive from amenities (restaurant, coffee shop, grocery). The rental was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Trish and her husband were very friendly and responsive to our needs. Our dog also thoroughly enjoyed her visit, and especially the two resident Goldens! It's a great place to relax and disconnect, we used the wood fireplace which was real nice touch. Highly recommend we would definitely return.

Our family had such a wonderful stay at Tamara’s farm house. The renovated house is full of modern conveniences and lots of history to explore. The farm setting made for a perfect peaceful getaway and was full of plenty of fun for our two year old to explore. We’re looking forward to returning again soon!

10/10. Beautiful woods getaway, and like others have said, much bigger than expected. Super comfy bed, great down pillows and comforters, and caring little touches around the cabin. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of love into this place, and it went a long way to make it feel like home. I loved sitting by the fireplace in the rocking chair reading, with the morning light coming through the windows. There are a lot of windows so it’s drafty - definitely bring layers, and plan to keep a fire going (that means lots of wood!). But it’s warmer up in the loft where the bed is, so sleeping w the warm bedding was cozy. The cooking setup is great, propane is supplied, and plenty of cookware and dishes. Lots of spices, just needed to bring olive oil. The “sink” is a metal tub built into the counter with a catch bucket underneath - worked great. The hottubs are BEAUTIFUL - it took a long time to get it hot and a lot of charcoal, so definitely heed the instructions to tend it vigilantly!

Great stay! Everything was clean and accurately described. Would love to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was furnished nicely and very clean. The setting is peaceful and beautiful! If we get back to Sequim, we hope to stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was very clean, comfortable and was in the perfect location for our needs. We also loved that there was a washer/dryer.

I have stayed in many vacation rentals. This was the FIRST that had comfortable seating inside...a recliner and a very comfortable couch. Lots of great details...letting us know we could check in early because the place was ready, fresh bread and snacks, real antique silverware (very cool), a beautiful place to sit outside and watch the view and the birds and the spectacular apple tree. A comfy bed and nice shower. Everything spotless and clean. We feel like we've made new friends. Thank you for the relaxing break we needed.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful spot overlooking the Olympia National Forest mountains surrounded by nature in a peaceful idyllic setting. Especially enjoyed cooking while I was there and sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the snow capped mountains.

We had the most wonderful stay at Paul’s place—it was the perfect little family getaway. The house was beautiful, thoughtfully decorated with so many tasteful touches that made it feel warm and welcoming. The highlight for all of us (especially our kids!) was spending time with the alpacas. Paul and Renay went above and beyond with the bags of food and clear, helpful information about how to feed and interact with them—it made the experience even more special. Our sons absolutely adored the alpacas and were genuinely heartbroken to leave. We also loved cozying up by the firepit in the evenings and couldn’t get enough of the incredible rope swing—it brought out the kid in all of us. We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable escape. Thank you, Paul and Renay, for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Had a great experience. The host is responsive and explains everything pretty well. The place smells nice and overall has a modern feel to it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to stay.

The springtime peepers in the pond, the bright stars in the dark country sky and the singing birds in the morning took me back to my farm country youth in Michigan. The immaculate, spacious rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The only thing missing was time to explore the inviting grounds surrounding the lodgings.

Great space. Exactly what we needed for our three day stay. Lots of room. Had some stuff already available for our use, butter, eggs, cream, scones, cookies. Linens were comfortable. Had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. We would recommend and stay here again.

What an amazing weekend with five friends! Lazy Bear retreat is cozy and quiet--close enough to Sequim and Port Angeles for adventuring, but peaceful enough that we spent most of our time playing games and watching movies at the house. We watched the weather, the cargo ships, and the deer through the living room window, and we did some cooking in the kitchen. The 70's charm took me back to my childhood but the house had all the modern amenities. We're already planning when we'll come back.

Five stars all around! The Kissingfish Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We visited with out-of-town family who had never been to the San Juan Islands, and they were absolutely awe-struck—not only by the beauty of the island but also by the charm and comfort of the cottage itself. Every detail was perfect, from the cozy bedrooms to the well-equipped kitchen, the inviting living room, and the serene front and back porches. Thank you for making this lovely home available—it was the perfect setting for our getaway!

Really well appointed, everything was incredibly nice, comfortable and as described. So very quiet and peacful . We enjoyed hearing the birds, sitting on the porch swing and the scent of the blooming lilac bushes, was so very nice. Beautiful touches throughout. We loved our stay very much and highly recommend. The bed was very comfortable, furnishings were beautiful and lots of hot water with great water pressure in the shower.

Was the perfect getaway for my wife and kids! Pool was amazing and great fun for our kids. Place was clean, quiet and it was the perfect peaceful location for a relaxing weekend! Can’t wait to come back!

Pat and Barbi have a wonderful finished loft. What a treat. Pat met us in the driveway and showed up the ropes to make things easy. Perfect spot for my daughter and I to crash for a ski weekend. They have a great sunroom for breakfast and relaxing as well. Closest thing to a Bed and Breakfast I've been to through AirBnB.

We had a great 3-night stay at Bonnie and Dave's place. We enjoyed the peaceful rural setting, the hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit. Bonnie and Dave even let us put up our tent in front of the Airbnb, so that my husband and son could have a bit of a "camping" experience--something our son had wanted to do all summer. The kitchen was well-equipped for making family meals, and we appreciated Bonnie's freshly baked muffins, eggs, and other food she left for us. The location of the Airbnb worked well for a fun day trip to Salt Spring Island via the Crofton ferry, being only a 15-20 minute drive from Crofton, and it was only about a 40-minute drive from the Kinsol Trestle section of the Cowichan Valley Trail, which we enjoyed biking along. Bonnie, Dave, and their dog, Sawyer, were away during our stay, so we didn't get to meet them on this visit, but they were always prompt, helpful, and friendly with all their communications. Thanks again for a great stay, Bonnie and Dave!

We had a fantastic stay! Luke and Marcos were easy to message and very thorough in their directions to the house. We especially loved Linda and Max, the goats! Max became my best buddy after giving him some apple slices. House is lovely and clean. Best mattress ever, so comfy! Will definitely use again when we visit.
