Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been designated a preservation district for traditional buildings and still has many lacquerware shops. Our house is available for one group per day, without meals, and as a whole house rental.It takes a little time to get around, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in this area, but I think that's why this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in the old houses in the valleys between the mountains, so in the warmer seasons, wildlife may come in.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to start by taking care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

With free parking for two cars, it is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy a relaxing stay.We'd love to have you here!It can accommodate up to 5 guests.At an altitude of about 940m, it is cool in the mornings and evenings even in summer, but it is hot during the day, so we have air conditioning. From here, you can visit Torii Pass, stroll around the post town, and go sightseeing in the surrounding area. If you come by car, you can also take a YABUHARA taxi to Kamikochi or the bus terminal in the Norikura Kogen in about an hour.The neighbouring town of Yabuhara is famous for its rokushi (a type of comb).The sake "Kisoji" from the Yukawa Sake Brewery is also famous.The summer festival in Narai on 11 and 12 August is well worth seeing.You can do your laundry and hang it outside to dry, so it is comfortable for a long stay. There is no supermarket or convenience store, and there are no restaurants open at night, so you need to bring food and ingredients and cook for yourself!

This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.
