Beachfront holiday rentals in Suomussalmi

A great base for a couple of days of skiing. There were five adults and three children, and the space was great. Everything in the apartment exudes quality, and the details are thoughtfully thought out. The kitchen is very well-stocked, plenty of dishes and didn't have to be doing the dishes all the time. A separate sauna building is a nice addition to the space with stunning scenery. We would have loved to stay longer, great listing!

The villa swamp is a stunning, museum-like haven of peace and nature. Hunting land can be found nearby and you can really enjoy your vacation in peace. Carrying water and no-electricity is suitable for this place. Alex is great hosts and ready to help if needed. Everything went just as planned.

We enjoyed our stay in the great nature. The cabin is the perfect starting point for fishing trips in the rowboat and walks in the area. We visited the Martinselkonen Wilderness Center where there was the opportunity to see bears in nature. Hossa is definitely also worth a visit with beautiful hiking trails. The cabin has everything you need, with a nice new kitchen. Shopping opportunities within 15 minutes drive where there are also several options to charge an electric car. Rami responded quickly to all inquiries and was very helpful. The neighbor who lives a few minutes away can help locally if needs arise - we didn't need anything though, as everything worked super well. We didn't use the sauna, but it looked comfortable.

Great place, only the outdoor sauna is missing

We stayed at Salme's cottage on the lake for almost a month during our parental leave, with our baby and our dog. The house is very well kept and extremely clean. The view on the lake is stunning and the area Is surrounded by forest. There is everything you may need for a nice stay, whether it's in winter or summer. Salme is very kind and helpful, and will be happy to give suggestions on things to do if needed. Overall one of our best experiences as guests on Airbnb!

We had an incredible stay at Esko’s place! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the lake, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation. Esko recommended fishing, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, providing the most peaceful nights we’ve ever had—ideal for a good night’s sleep. The house itself is cozy and felt just like home. When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. An absolutely brilliant stay in beautiful Finnish countryside - about an hour from Oulanka and Hosea National Parks, each easily worth a day, the Ruka ski/bike resort, Ruuta’s Winter War museum, and much more. Our family was delighted to stay here - the house offers boating and paddle boarding and multiple saunas. We spent five nights and would have happily spent ten - we definitely hope to return!!

The place was great, with a wonderful location that made everything convenient. The best part was the ski-in, ski-out access for both cross country skiing as well as downhill. Highly recommended for ski lovers ⛷️!

Beautiful and cozy house in the middle of nature! After a warm welcome by Harri and Tuula we had a great time in snowy Finland. We had everything we needed for a week to calm down and relax. Big recommendation!

We returned to spend the New Year in Willa Hilla and had a great time at the cottage again. The cottage has all the settings in order. Despite the cold weather, we went outdoors and admiring the nearby nature: the scenery was stunning! It got to surprise us a little with the heating of the cars, but Anne Maarit and the neighbors helped us very quickly. Thanks again! :)

Nice, peaceful setting. It took a bit of time to get used to the rhythms of the place (no running water), but it was comfortable once we settled in Timo was very responsive and helpful.
